00:32Court.
00:33Pillai also served as the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights
00:37and later chaired a UN Commission on the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
00:43The Nobel Committee highlighted her role at the Rwanda Tribunal where rape and sexual violence
00:47were found to be capable of constituting crimes against humanity and genocide.
00:51The Committee said her career showed why international law remains important for resolving conflicts without violence.
00:58In the words of the Committee, peace requires justice.
01:02On her ex-post, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen congratulated Pillai,

01:51the EU will work closely with the ICC to ensure it continues to operate effectively.
01:58The Commission added its hopes that the six-month delay before the sanctions applied
02:04meant there is room for dialogue.
02:06The reactions come after the Trump administration imposed sweeping new sanctions on the ICC,
02:13accusing the tribunal of political bias and, unfairly,
02:17targeting Americans and Israelis over alleged war crimes.
02:22U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced the measures on Friday,
02:26shortly after South African prosecutor Navi Pillai, a former ICC judge,
02:32was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
02:34The sanctions freeze any ICC assets held in the U.S.
02:38and give U.S. companies and individuals six months to end their business dealings with the court.
02:49France's student-led protests started out in the suburbs of Paris
02:53before rapidly escalating into a nationwide movement.
02:56It gained momentum after videos of tracking students spread across social media.
03:01Beyond its organisational role, social media has enabled students to document protests
03:07firsthand from the ground, as Olivier Herzcheid, lecturer in information sciences and communication
03:12at the University of Nantes, told Euronews.
03:15Police investigations are now open and social media images can be used as evidence, he said.
03:21Herzcheid also stressed the role social media has played in fostering a sense of connection
03:27and common identity among protesters.
03:29Social media is also a way of building a sense of group identity
03:33and expressing one's social connections, including an emerging form of political awareness, he said.
03:40Another mass day of protests is expected to take place across the country on Tuesday,
03:45branded as Act V of the movement, backed by France's major trade unions.
03:49Meanwhile, a separate mass demonstration against the cost-of-living crisis
03:54and rising fuel prices is planned four days later.

05:34said EU ports received a record over 12 million tons of LNG
05:38from Russia's Yamal project between January and September.
05:42That was up to 9.5% compared with the same period last year.
05:47Europe also received 85% of all recorded Yamal deliveries during the period.
05:53The figures come despite restrictions already introduced by Brussels.
05:58A ban covering existing short-term Russian LNG contracts took effect in April,
06:02but September deliveries were still slightly higher than a year earlier.
06:07The EU's full ban on Russian LNG under eligible existing long-term contracts

06:37at a 7th of October commemoration,
06:40stressing she has asked for the CCTV footages to be made available to the press.
06:45Sur ces images, c'est très clair. On me voit de manière assez délicate
07:11Although she supports the commemoration of the victims of the 7th of October attack,
07:16she said she opposes inviting Israeli authorities to the European Parliament.
07:21C'est le rôle de chaque député de pouvoir s'en saisir au vu du contexte,
07:25c'est-à-dire des crimes qui sont commis par Israël, à Gaza, le génocide,
07:29et en Cisjordanie, le nettoyage ethnique.

10:32Well, it was a long-time battle,
10:34though we've been engaged in the European Duncan defense team.
10:37This includes a responsibility for making
10:45the Jordan title to the international tournament.
10:47Unfortunately, we want to do?
10:49Why did R Babylon win against the party?
10:50It was a neat match game.
