00:00This is a tour that has redefined...
00:02It was fireworks in Ranchi as the West Indies pulled off what was the second-highest Ranchiers to beat India
00:07on Friday.
00:08Set 250 to win the second T20 international, the men in Maroon got home in 18.3 overs,
00:14with Captain Sheop smashing an unbeaten 102 of 45 balls.
00:18And that too on what wasn't exactly a small ground.
00:21Those SS bats that I have are pretty good.
00:24But yeah, the balls seem to be travelling quite a bit here.
00:26Yes, the boundaries are a little bit bigger on the bigger side, but I just got to back myself.
00:30You know, just once the ball's in my zone, look at the best option to get the boundary.
00:35And just came off well today. As I said before, I got to get some luck.
00:38Hope has been consistent against India in India, scoring centuries in all three formats for the Windies.
00:44So the question is, is this his best streak of form?
00:48It's a tough one. You know, when you're scoring runs, you're just happy.
00:53Maybe I could say it's a good streak that I'm on right now.
00:56But I just think the way I'm preparing, the way I'm trying to stay mentally fresh and ready
01:00is giving me the best chance of performing.
01:02I just hope it continues as long as possible.
01:04When India put 249 runs on the board,
01:07the West Indian who was most impressive with the ball was Roston Chase,
01:11who took three for 24.
01:12And Hope couldn't have asked for more from his countrymen.
01:15Yeah, amazing. You know, on a surface and a field like this,
01:19to go at six runs and overs is unbelievable.
01:21So he really kept us in the game.
01:24I know it was a very difficult conditions to bowl on.
01:28So the way how he bowled and kept us in the game made it a lot easier for us to
01:31defend,
01:32well, to chase that score.
01:33When the Windies bachered, every bowler conceded more than 11 runs and over.
01:37No doubt, India's captain Srius Iyer was disappointed with the outcome.
01:40Yeah, see, honestly speaking, the margin of error on this wicket is very minor.
01:46And any, like, delivery, if you miss it, if you miss to execute it,
01:52it was going on to the stands.
01:54And you could see how exceptional they were batting.
01:56So, few missed chances here and there, but that's part and parcel of the game.
02:00But credit where it's due, they batted amazing.
02:04And, yeah, kudos to them.
02:05Following Sunday's match, Game 4 is on Wednesday in Hyderabad,
02:09followed by the final one on Saturday in Bengaluru.
02:12Vinod Nawani, Chiefs Export.
