I have one complaint about The Triplets' Final Regret, and it's about the punishment.
Setup: Elisa is half-human, half-vampire, raised beside the Lockhart triplets, promised a future with one of them. Amber arrives, and Elisa gets abandoned and humiliated until she finally walks β day school out, night school in.
At the end, she arrives in that uniform with a vampire heir, and all three brothers kneel.
Here's my issue. Kneeling is a reaction, not a consequence. Elisa never asks for anything, never punishes anyone, and simply moves on. Admirable writing.
But the show built three men who destroyed a girl for years, then gave them one scene of regret.
I know that's the point β she doesn't need their suffering. I still wanted it.
β¨ What worked for me:
The restraint is deliberate. A choice, not a flaw. β¨ Bottom line: does the ending land, or does it let them off?
