00:27The last 10 Grand Prix.
00:29This is the group day and it's Ralf Fernandes, Marco Bedzecchi and Fabius Gian Antonio on the front row.
00:34Of course, central to the drama at the start of yesterday and all have gone from the soft yesterday over
00:39to the medium rear.
00:39Mark Marquez, Jorge Martín and Fermín Aldeguer top two in the championship next to each other on row two.
00:46Ayagura from Q1 to 7 ahead of Alex Marquez and Pedro Costa who had a long lap yesterday.
00:51Pekka Banyaya 10th from Frankie Morbidelli and Fabio Quattararo.
00:54While you see the rest of the grid, let's hear from Mark Marquez's championship adversary.
00:58Jorge Martín to Jack.
01:00Home Grand Prix livery for VR46 Ducati.
01:03P3 on the Griffith Digia. P3 in yesterday's sprint.
01:07Can he go one or two places better and deny Aprilia?
01:11What has so far this weekend looked like?
01:14Pretty much a certain win.
01:16A nailed on win.
01:17Giving Aprilia's dominance throughout practice and in qualifying.
01:22Nothing though is ever certain, isn't it?
01:24In the Monday GP World Championship.
01:26Nothing is ever nailed on when you get to this phase of the season.
01:29The competition lights out and we're racing him under GP here then in Lombard.
01:34It's a great start from Raúl Fernández from that career first pole position.
01:37He tries to cover off Marco Bessecchi on the run down to the first corner,
01:41but Bessecchi leaves his braking so, so late.
01:43Are they all going to make it through cleanly?
01:45I think Bez was slightly wide and offline.
01:47That's allowed Fernández to come back through.
01:49Bez does drop back in front of Mark Marquez, but Fernández this time around and Bez make clean starts.
01:54And Jorge Martín looks like he's a loser because that's Fermín Aldeguer next up in fifth place.
01:58Jorge Martín is down a place to sick.
02:01So just a reminder after his collision with Bez at the first corner yesterday.
02:04Raúl Fernández riding from position with a fractured index finger on his right hand.
02:10Riding through the pain barrier right now already is Fernández.
02:14Not a bad start this by Mark Marquez.
02:16He's immediately up into those podium places.
02:18Under pressure though from Gian Antonio in the heavy braking zone for ten.
02:21Ayagura is still in seventh place, so he's next behind Jorge Martín.
02:25Then we have the Grasini Ducati, second of them on the road.
02:29That's Alex Marquez running in eight.
02:31What's the Fernández master plan here?
02:33Just get the whole shot, bolt, try and build a lead, and then just see how that right hand holds
02:39up.
02:39Just to see how much his pain threshold will resist.
02:42As Alex Marquez darts on the inside of Ayagura.
02:45Nice move that by Alex on the Japanese star going through turn 13.
02:48Yeah, Mark Marquez would have certainly signed for this at the start of the race.
02:52This is Aldergaire now taking a tighter inside line, having a look up the inside of Gian Antonio.
02:56And he is side by side, he's up the inside of that VR46 Ducati.
03:00Remember, Aldergaire, winner of this race last year.
03:02Yeah, a long odds to make it back-to-back wins here.
03:05We felt, didn't we, coming into this Grand Prix, but it's been a sensational first lap for Aldergaire.
03:10Gian Antonio goes side by side in the braking zone for the first corner.
03:13Toughest braking zone on the circuit, this one, as you decelerate by 200km an hour, back from 6th gear to
03:192nd gear.
03:20Here comes Martin, he's got the inside line there.
03:22Digi can't do anything about this.
03:24Looked like he got the exit a little bit wrong there, coming out of one.
03:26But he's had a lap and a half into this Grand Prix of Indonesia, and he's there in fourth place.
03:31Coming from a long, long way back, parking his cage here in the middle of turn 10 at the apex
03:35there.
03:36There was a costa, beautiful move, what a raid that was.
03:39And Alex Marquez on the inside of the Ucruzini.
03:41The raid's come to him and just work out whether Ralph Fernandes can sustain this pace for 27 laps.
03:46Oh, Aldergaire's gone down, trail braking into turn 16.
03:49There is no repeat fairytale win here for Firmin Aldergaire.
03:53It's time to make even for the world's best there.
03:56You come through turn 15, 5th gear, 250km an hour.
04:00And that's the longest braking zone on the circuit, 300m.
04:04You're braking, you've still got front brake pressure with your right hand
04:07while you're carrying almost 60 degrees of lean angle.
04:10And maybe just with a little bit of a full fuel tank as Martin.
04:13Martin then on the inside of Marc Marquez.
04:16This is a key move in terms of the World Championship.
04:19So Jorge Martin then now makes an Aprilia, 1, 2, 3.
04:24Fires the Aprilia on the inside of Marc Marquez at turn 10.
04:27Caught him, unbelievable.
04:28Both of them now exchanging fastest laps of the race so far.
04:32Here is Martin.
04:33I mean, this was easy as you like.
04:36Nothing that Marc Marquez could do about it.
04:37Look at Marc.
04:38He's trying to desperately stop that Ducati into the 2nd gear.
04:4280km an hour right hander of turn 10.
04:44Nothing he could do about it.
04:46Through the high speed 4th gear sweep of 7, 8 and 9.
04:50Going through turn 10 as a frustrated stomp through the gravel for Jack Miller.
04:56Yeah, on the brakes going into turn 2 there, wasn't he Jack?
04:59Same corner as last year.
05:01Same corner.
05:01He dumped it at turn 17 here last year, didn't he?
05:04The 29-year-old Italian.
05:06Lightning, unfortunately, does strike twice.
05:09History does repeat itself for Pecco Bagnaia.
05:11He was 14th in the sprinting when you go.
05:14Crashed out of 16th last year.
05:16Once again, Acosta charges towards the rear tyre of Marc's factory Ducati.
05:22Trouble viewing here for Marc Marquez.
05:24This is as close as Acosta's been.
05:25And surely, any sniff of a move, Acosta is coming through.
05:28And Marc Marquez has to jump out of the Spaniard's way.
05:32And that's twice.
05:33And he's not been caught nappy there.
05:34But he just does not have the speed, does he, through that sector too.
05:37As you start charging towards, as Acosta goes wide, doesn't he there?
05:40On the paintwork coming out of turn 11.
05:43Desperate immediately to try and put a bit of daylight between himself and Marc.
05:46Because normally when you pass Marc Marquez, you know pretty much at the very next corner.
05:50Given his killer instinct, his DNA, just to go for the jugular.
05:54Marc normally comes straight back at you.
05:57Acosta then.
05:58Seen's immediate threat might be behind rather than any sort of semblance of chasing down the two ahead.
06:05Yeah, he's about 10 seconds up the road and the next KTM is Acosta.
06:09It's coming from deep, coming from a long, long way back.
06:11That's not going to work out for Agoura.
06:13On the inside, briefly, over Alex Marquez.
06:16That looked like a move of desperation, getting a little bit sick and tired of chasing and breathing.
06:21Just from a long, long way back, just was like, I've had enough of this.
06:23I'm going to just dive on the inside and see if I can make it stick.
06:26Marc Marquez is back ahead here of Pedro Acosta.
06:28Acosta's made a mistake somewhere on this 13th lap of 27.
06:31You can see how close the top two are now getting.
06:34Top left of your screens.
06:35But something's happened to Pedro Acosta on this lap, which has given Marc Marquez 4th place back.
06:39Yeah, there's obviously been a keen mistake.
06:41A big mistake somewhere, hasn't there, from Acosta.
06:44Now it's here.
06:45I've noticed in this first sector is where Fernandes is losing time to Bez.
06:49And it's here because he is now having to exert so much force, so much strength and pressure through that
06:56right arm, through that right hand, in that hard braking zone.
07:00I mean, it's so, so tough, isn't it?
07:03Here is Acosta.
07:04Acosta's got tire pressure issues.
07:06Yeah, he let him through.
07:06Yeah, he let him through.
07:07Yeah, that's clear.
07:08That's another.
07:09I mean, Marc Marquez has had a couple of presence already so far this weekend with rivals suffering with tire
07:14pressure issues.
07:15And Acosta clearly there.
07:16He was lucky, but yet is it at all?
07:18In fact, Ralph Fernandes just put in his personal best lap of the Grand Prix.
07:22I mean, if anything, he's getting...
07:23Well, he is.
07:24He's getting stronger and faster.
07:26Marc Marquez will know full well what's happening here with Acosta.
07:28He'll have seen Acosta look over and let him through.
07:31And now Marc Marquez is doing the same.
07:33He's now getting out of the way of Pedro Acosta as he gives up fourth place.
07:37So Acosta's now got the same problem back again.
07:40Yeah, and that has now, once again, put Martin back in time and charge the World Championship.
07:46I mean, talk about...
07:48The Odor potentially opening up here for Bez.
07:51It is. It really is.
07:52I mean, he's got time.
07:53He does not have to be impatient.
07:56He does not have to get ahead of himself here.
07:58He's still got just over nine laps remaining.
08:02So ample time on his side.
08:04Now, surely, surely, if he can get the drive here,
08:07he's going to have a look on the inside of Fernandes on the brakes into the first quarter.
08:10Yeah, he's trying to pick up some slipstream here.
08:12He's going to level Ralph Fernandes.
08:14This could be the key moment.
08:16This could be the key move then here in Mandelica.
08:18Marco Bessecchi picks his moment.
08:21I think they're in some turbulent, dirty air there, wasn't it?
08:23As Marco Bessecchi went alongside Fernandes.
08:26I think a combination of probably a little bit of turbulent air and also...
08:30129.960.
08:32That's the second 129.9 that Bessecchi has delivered.
08:36Was he just happy to play his patient time?
08:40Well, this is not the first time in this Grand Prix that Pedro Acosta has had to look behind him
08:44and find traffic.
08:46I mean, not very often you look for traffic and certainly open the door for one of your rivals to
08:51just power on through.
08:53But look, there we go.
08:53Another one as well.
08:55He's looking over his left shoulder.
08:56He's looking over his right shoulder.
08:58He needs to be careful of Agoura here too.
09:01Managed this tire pressure issue.
09:03Back on bull.
09:04I mean, how many times have we seen this?
09:05We've been looking at Acosta from Marc.
09:08We've been looking at Marc from Acosta several times throughout this Grand Prix.
09:12As we go now, yeah, Acosta's just going to go to the inside line.
09:15He's got the inside line.
09:16Marquez can't turn in.
09:18Here comes Agoura right back into the picture as well.
09:21And that, once again, flips the championship situation.
09:25It's one point to the benefit of Jorge Martin.
09:28And Marc Marquez and Pedro Acosta each may have a bit of a problem here.
09:31Because look at Agoura now catching them.
09:33And Agoura is generally super strong late in races.
09:37You can just see there the Indonesian fans, they can barely watch the action, can they?
09:42As Jorge Martin will leave Lombok potentially in a fantastic position.
09:49If you put the flag out now with the current situation as Agoura now reigns on the inside of Marc
09:53Marquez.
09:53That will certainly please Aprilia.
09:55As Marc Marquez loses another point.
09:57He drops from fifth to sixth.
09:59So that would give Martin a two-point lead.
10:01But I was just going to draw your attention to Marco Bencechi.
10:03He would close to within 46 points of his teammate in the lead of the championship.
10:07And would just keep his faint championship hopes alive with victory today.
10:11Yeah, I loved it yesterday when he was asked about the mishap here at the first corner with Ralph Fernandes
10:17at the start of yesterday's sprint.
10:18He was asked by the media, well, how do you think this impacts on your world championship challenge?
10:22And as Marco so often does, he just laughed and just went, well, yeah, it's a lot tougher than what
10:27it was yesterday.
10:28We'll have an Aprilia.
10:29One, two, three, four.
10:30And where do we go next?
10:32We go to Philippe Ireland in Australia where Aprilia won in the hands of Ralph Fernandes last year.
10:37Where Marco Bencechi cruised the sprint and should have really won the Grand Prix.
10:42He was so dominant and so fast.
10:43But, of course, his collision here with Marc Marquez in the Grand Prix of Indonesia one year ago.
10:47saw him head to Philippe Ireland and have a long penalty as Alex Marquez goes on the inside of follow
10:54Ducati GP 26 star Dijan Antonio.
10:57That was through the left-hander of 12.
10:59Picking off Digi there through the third gear, 130 km an hour at turn 12.
11:04And that's put Alex Marquez then now up into seventh.
11:07The expected podium pace of Dijan Antonio hasn't ever really materialized, has it?
11:12He got a decent start.
11:13He was in that group early on in the Grand Prix.
11:15And, of course, he's been kept in contention.
11:17He's reigniting that title fight.
11:21He's had some real difficult moments, hasn't he, over the last few weeks or so.
11:25Certainly since that brilliant victory in Mugello.
11:28A massive qualifying crash in the Satch Ring which fractured a collarbone which left him with a gaping wound in
11:33his left knee.
11:34Which he's actually still dealing with now as Agura goes on the inside of Acosta.
11:38Or does he? He certainly does.
11:39Nothing in Acosta can do about it as we rode on board with the Spaniel though.
11:43Acosta, you just knew.
11:45He does not give up a place in Monday GP, does he, without an almighty fight.
11:50Unless he's dealing with tight pressure issues.
11:52But when he is in full race mode, Acosta is one of the toughest riders in Monday GP.
11:57Back up the inside though comes Agura and Acosta had to check up that time.
12:01Oh, I can see a gap on the inside.
12:02I'll try and take it back, says Pedro.
12:04But Agura has the high ground, has the inside line into the final corner.
12:08We do now have, with two laps to go, an Aprilia.
12:11One, two, three, four.
12:13Well, this is what we thought was going to happen on Thursday.
12:15We thought Aprilia were going to clean up and destroy the competition.
12:20After a bit of a bleak Saturday in yesterday's sprint,
12:24it has been some response, hasn't it?
12:25Some retaliation from the Niwali factory.
12:29Jorge Martin, it looks like he is going to be in control of the World Championship.
12:32Two points apart, to the benefit of Jorge Martin.
12:35It's going down the wire this one, isn't it?
12:36It's going all the way to Valencia, surely.
12:38Just how we want it.
12:40Martin versus Marquez versus Betseki.
12:43Who surely is throwing his hat back into the ring here, isn't he?
12:46As Marco Betseki then starts the final lap.
12:494.3 kilometers standing between Bez and a victory.
12:54He felt like he threw into the gravel here one year ago at Mandalika in 2025.
13:00He has broken Ralph Fernandes for now the start of this campaign.
13:04And he's going to be back on the top step of the podium for the first time since he was
13:09magnificent in Mugello.
13:11And now he's going to be magnificent in Mandalika.
13:14As through the final corner, the factory Aprilia star goes.
13:18And on the back wheel, Marco Betseki returns to winning ways.
13:24Marco Betseki is still a genuine and serious Modern GP world title contender in 2026.
13:32After a tough, tough sprint Saturday for Aprilia.
13:36All the drama and controversy.
13:38Great job guys.
13:43Yeah, the message loud and clear.
13:46Great job guys.
13:49Well, he's putting a bit of seasoning on that brilliant performance there by Marco Betseki.
13:54Now there's always a story with best celebrations.
13:57So what is it then with the salt and pepper shaker here?
14:00What's going on? We'll find out very, very shortly.
14:02But...
14:03I cannot help but respect and admire the job that Ralph and...
14:07That's all.
14:11...
14:14...
14:15...
14:15...
14:16...
14:16...
