00:00Spanish police, backed by soldiers, have cleared the last major migrant encampment in Ceuta,
00:06just two days before King Felipe VI and Queen Leticia are due to visit the North African Territory.
00:12The operation began early Sunday at El Guano Esplanade,
00:17where hundreds of migrants had been living in makeshift shelters.
00:22Authorities deployed more than 350 police officers.
00:25Migrants were taken by bus to reception centres for processing,
00:29while cleaning crews cleared the area.
00:31Some fled into nearby hills to avoid being taken away.
00:35The camp formed after more than 70,000 people entered Ceuta from neighbouring Morocco
00:40during a mass influx in July.
00:43Although many returned, thousands remained, putting pressure on local resources.
00:48The crisis sparked political turmoil in Madrid and raised questions across the European Union.
00:53The royal visit will be the first by a Spanish monarch to the territory since 2007.
