00:00We've come here to share how we intend to close the remaining gap
00:06and decidedly advance towards the full achievement
00:12of sustainable development goal number two, zero hunger.
00:17Our aspiration is clear to put an end to hunger
00:22and achieve zero hunger before 2030.
00:25Director General, Excellency Venezuela, as you all know,
00:29possesses important energy sources.
00:32Our aspiration is to use these strengths in order to build
00:38the production capacity of the future.
00:40We would like to convert part of our energy income
00:44into an ongoing and permanent production capacity.
00:48Energy wealth can and must become a leverage to guarantee agriculture production
00:55so that people can have access to high quality foods
00:59and at the same time respect the processes of nature through regenerative agriculture.
01:06How can we possibly think about guaranteeing food in the future
01:15if we degrade our watersheds and our soil?
01:18Ultimately, it's about looking to immediate needs but going beyond that towards
01:29a sustainable development, recovery and transformation.
01:32But for that, we need a truly inclusive multi-level system capable of supporting countries
01:39not only when they're facing emergencies but also when they're building their future.
01:45Excellencies, this transformation has a human face.
01:49And this is why we are full of pride that in the International Year of the Woman Farmer
01:56has recognized Maria Cantalicia Torres from Venezuela
02:02as the woman farmer of the Venezuelan Andes
02:06and as one of the heroes of food and nutrition.
02:11Maria Cantalicia represents much more of an individual history and story.
02:18In her, we recognize all Venezuelan rural women
02:22who pass on their knowledge from generations to generations.
02:27Excellencies, Venezuela comes to Rome
02:30with advances to share, challenges to overcome
02:33and especially a renewed will to work together with everyone.
02:37We believe in an FAO capable of supporting its member states
02:42in the transformation of their agri-food systems.
02:45We believe in science, technology and innovation.
02:49We believe in the potential of our producers, farmers and our communities.
02:56We believe in an international cooperation respectful of national priorities
03:01and we also believe in a multilateralism
03:03that will make it possible to convert our challenges,
03:08common challenges into a space of common action.
03:12The digital and capital gap has now become
03:16the most important cross-cutting challenge that we need to cater to.
03:21Hunger is not inevitable.
03:24Wherever a farmer sows seeds, wherever a woman protects seeds,
03:30wherever a mother feeds her children
03:32and wherever a young scientist places her knowledge
03:36at the service of society,
03:37we also sow dignity, development, social justice and peace.
03:42There are moments in the history of peoples
03:46in which tragedy becomes a point of rupture towards something new.
03:53This is not because pain is desirable
03:57but because it compels us to look ahead to the basics
04:03and most essential aspects of life.
04:06And at the end of the day, it's not very complicated.
04:10What is basic is for every family to have a plate of food on the table
04:15and for every nation to look to the future with confidence.
04:19I love you.
04:19Theнутьies are not to be seen.
04:19If you can imagine the商品
