00:08Welcome to Mojo Plays, and today we're taking a look at 10 of the most hated enemies across
00:14various PlayStation 2 games. Before we begin, we publish new videos all week long, so be sure
00:26to subscribe to Mojo Plays, and ring the bell to be notified about our latest videos.
00:31The Cops, Grand Theft Auto 3. As much as we love returning to Liberty City every once in a while,
00:44the coppers roaming around can quickly soil just about anybody's experience. For starters,
00:49they will come after you if you so much as gently tap their car.
00:57And even at two stars, they can be insanely aggressive, which probably adds some level
01:03of political and social commentary somewhere in here. But I digress. In short, they are way more
01:08fragile and aggravating to deal with in GTA 3 compared to future installments, which causes us
01:15to once again put the game down for another handful of years until we decide to remind ourselves again
01:20why we stopped playing in the first place.
01:32The Sand Worms, Final Fantasy X.
01:45We understand that some games do not do a great job at making an enjoyable desert biome,
01:51and Final Fantasy X is among such games. You've got a number of big beefy enemies roaming around with
01:58high encounter rates, and you don't even get a decent amount of XP for beating them.
02:02But the Sand Worms are the worst of these encounters.
02:12In addition to boasting a ton of HP, Sand Worms can swallow up one of your party members,
02:18making them unusable for a few number of turns until spat out. Thankfully, Auron's Shooting Star
02:24Overdrive can insta-kill these worms, more or less. So you can quickly take care of these guys with
02:30just that. It's just that it's annoying that this is the only good way of dealing with them.
02:38Mr. Burns and the Bus.
02:41The Simpsons Road Rage.
02:52For as fun as it can be picking up passengers and racing across Springfield,
02:57Mr. Burns and his radioactive buses can make Simpsons Road Rage a little bit irritating to play.
03:03These two NPCs barrel throughout the streets,
03:06crashing into cars while suffering from very minimal decreases in speed.
03:14Thank you for the adequate ride. Not too fast, not too slow, just right.
03:19And if they somehow come to a halt because of their reckless driving and taking up most of the road,
03:24there isn't much that the player can do to move them. The player character never gets enough power
03:29to shift burns or the bus over just a tad. You just have to hope that their AI can figure
03:34out
03:34a path forward or back out just enough to let you wedge through.
03:45The Alligators. Ed, Ed, and Eddie. The Miss Ed Ventures.
03:59There are plenty of reasons why Miss Ed Ventures is not as great as some folks make it out to
04:04be.
04:04One of the biggest reasons is how combat works. Some enemies in the game get iframes during their
04:10hit animations. In the case of the Alligators, their hit animations go on for so long that it's
04:16hard to tell when their iframes are finished, which can then lead you to getting hit.
04:28It simply does not make any sense, and it makes going through the sewers,
04:32the second level of the game, unbearable to play.
04:36Your best bet is to just spam Eddie's Chain Wallet attack,
04:39since it is the quickest attack between all three Eds.
04:42The Longer We Stand Around, The Less People Will See My Latest Disco Moves.
04:47The Hellgassed Snipers. Killzone.
05:00The original Killzone is known to have some wild difficulty spike, and the snipers cause what may
05:06be the worst difficulty spike in the entire game, specifically during the mission called Hidden Pass.
05:22This portion of the game puts you in the middle of a storming blizzard, having to fight Hellgassed
05:27forces as you make your way towards one of their bases. However, you will have to deal with their
05:32team of snipers, for which you have absolutely nothing to counter them with. You're either going
05:37to have to try and power through, or take the risk and snipe them from as far away as you
05:42can before
05:42you're spotted.
05:50Outlaw, Twisted Metal Head On
06:03Twisted Metal is great and all, especially head on, but one thing that's been super annoying is how
06:09certain characters in this game seem to have their special weapons available every couple of seconds.
06:15Outlaw is the one we suspect the most, as its taser special activates so frequently that it feels like
06:21the AI has total freedom to use it whenever they please.
06:32We're outing the head-on iteration of Outlaw specifically, because its taser can slightly
06:38affect your movement. At least the NPC version never gets access to the upgraded versions of the taser.
06:52Zombie bots. Metal arms glitch in the system.
07:04The mill bots in Titans can put up a really good fight until you demolish a limb or attached weapon.
07:10The zombie bots, on the other hand, suffer no such weaknesses.
07:20First being introduced in the seventh mission in the game, which, mind you, is still super early,
07:26zombie bots are unaffected by limb-tearing damage from weapons like the Ripper and can soak up a lot
07:32of damage before finally dying. And even upon death, or at least what you think is death, they resurrect
07:38themselves until you can end them a second time. Your best option in dealing with these menace
07:43forces is to use whatever explosives you got between the rivet gun, the rocket launcher,
07:48and whatever grenades you can get.
08:01Metalheads. Jack 2.
08:10We were heavily considering placing the citizens of New Haven on this list because of how much traffic they cause.
08:16It makes getting around very frustrating, but they are not necessarily the best of the
08:19enemies. No, the metalheads single handedly make Jack 2 borderline unplayable.
08:34The auto-aim is bad enough to tolerate already. The last thing we needed were beefy enemies that take up
08:40way too much damage before they're finally dead.
08:43Eventually, some of us just started saving up eco to use Dark Jack on them. It's your best option, man.
08:57The Crimson Jazz. Kingdom Hearts 2.
09:08These little Cretans are nothing like the Red Nocturne seen in the first Kingdom Hearts game. No, the Crimson Jazz
09:15is the more troublesome cousin, as it can quickly ruin your day with its endless supply of bombs. More often
09:22than not, it will scatter bombs all over the place, and to make matters worse, these bombs can zero in
09:28on you and cause a chain reaction of explosions.
09:31Eventually, we just started making these little goblins our number one priority. When one appears, kill it. No holding back,
09:38no switching targets, no using the weaker version of spells. The second they are dead is the second you can
09:43move freely once again.
09:45You had me worried. I was afraid you'd given up for good.
09:50If you love games, be sure to check out WatchMojo's new game, Terrible Influence. Just launched for purchase at TerribleInfluence
09:57.com. Terrible Influence is a satirical board game about the dark side of fame from the writer of the most
10:02popular girls in school and us, WatchMojo.
10:05Boom. I can make an apology video. Oh, you so would. Click on the link in the description to check
10:10out the game and be the first to play Terrible Influence.
10:14And finally, Satyrs, God of War.
10:28Out of every PlayStation 2 game we have ever played, no enemy infuriates us the same way as the Satyrs
10:36of God of War.
10:37For starters, these guys are overly defensive and will simply not let you attack unless you can break their blocking.
10:43But what makes us hate their guts to their very core is their instagrab attack.
10:54They can easily just grab you at a moment's notice and fling you off a ledge if they're close enough.
11:00No fight is fair with these freaks and they are the primary reason why Challenge of the Gods number 10
11:06is so violently hated.
11:09Or maybe that's just me projecting, but I hate these guys.
11:12The Satyrs are the worst enemies in God of War history.
11:20Have you had to suffer through any of these menaces yourself?
