00:08:01When you brew a beer once, you've got a good beer.
00:08:05But when you brew a beer twice, you've got a great light beer.
00:08:10A great light beer called Old Style from God's country.
00:08:17Heilemon's Old Style is brewed in a traditional old-world way called croisoning.
00:08:23Croisoning is the most natural way to brew beer and the most expensive.
00:08:28Most expensive because it takes more time.
00:08:32But Heilemon has been brewing beer this way since we first opened our doors back in 1853.
00:08:39Croisoning is what makes Old Style the great light beer it is today.
00:08:44Taste the difference croisoning makes.
00:08:47Try Old Style.
00:08:48Pure brewed in God's country.
00:08:54G. Heilemon Brewing Company, La Crosse, Wisconsin.

00:09:27To your information, this is Jim Johnson.
00:09:30With darkness coming earlier and earlier, we've all heard of the dangers it brings for young people walking home from
00:09:35school or after-school activities in the dark or near dark.
00:09:38Or those out playing and riding bikes in the dark.
00:09:41You should dress your children in light-colored clothing, put reflective tape on the back of dark jackets or on
00:09:46bikes.
00:09:47But now it's been pointed out that many adults taking up the current jogging fad are also endangered.
00:09:52Not only do cars and cyclists pose a threat, but you can't always see the ruts, tracks and sidewalks, tree
00:09:57roots and curbs, and they can all lead to bad falls.
00:10:00So it's wise, if you run at night, to know your course very well.
00:10:04Never assume that drivers or bike riders can see you.
00:10:07Get out of their way.
00:10:08Stop at all intersections and watch out for driveways.
00:10:11It's polite to warn pedestrians if you're running up behind them.
00:10:14If possible, run with a companion and use well-lighted routes.
00:10:17Finally, put reflective tape on your clothes and let someone know the course you're running.
00:10:22So they'll know where to look for you if you don't show up on time.
00:10:25This is Jim Johnson.
00:10:3415th caller at 591-3089, Area 312 is going to win a copy of ELO's new Greatest Hits album.
00:10:52The track is going to win a copy of ELO's new Greatest Hits album.

00:22:06But a high later today of 52 in Chicago
00:22:09On the first part of the journey
00:22:12I was looking for the light
00:22:16There were plants and birds and rocks and things
00:22:21There were plants and hills and rain
00:22:25The first thing I met was a fire with a bus and a drive
00:22:30There was no foul
00:22:33The heat was hot and the ground was dry
00:22:36But the air was full of foul
00:22:41I've been through the desert on a horse and your name
00:22:44It felt good to be out of the rain
00:22:48In the desert
00:22:49You can't remember your name
00:22:52Cause there ain't no one

00:23:26I'm in the story as told of a river that told me, sad to think it was dead
00:23:33You see, I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
00:23:38It felt as good to be out of the rain
00:23:41In the desert, you can't remember your name
00:23:45Cause there ain't no one more to give you no pain
00:24:20After nine days, I bet the horse was free
00:24:24Cause the desert had turned to sea
00:24:27There were plants and birds and rocks and things
00:24:31There were sand and hills and rain
00:24:35The ocean is a desert with a climb underground
00:24:39And the perfect skies above
00:24:43Under the sea, the sky's a heart made of ground
00:24:47But it's a killer, it's a killer, it's a killer
00:24:49You see, I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
00:24:54It felt as good to be out of the rain

00:28:34There are reports this morning that some of the hostages who have been held inside the US Embassy in Iran
00:28:39for the past 11 days may soon be released.
00:28:42CBS News quotes a high Iranian government official as saying that women and blacks will be freed but that white
00:28:50male hostages will continue to be held.
00:28:52And in Tehran, newsman Peter Jennings says he has received similar information.
00:28:57ABC News has been told by a senior member of the Revolutionary Council here that women who are hostages in
00:29:03the American Embassy will be released within the next couple of days.
00:29:06Mr. Gotspazade gave no reason for their reported release but the news came in a discussion of the hostages' welfare.
00:29:13They have complained about their treatment, Mr. Gotspazade said, and he mentioned particularly the fact that they are sometimes blindfolded.
00:29:19I'm not a radio check that's fine working.
00:29:23The youths who are occupying the embassy have said repeatedly they will take no instructions which don't come directly from
00:29:29Ayatollah Khomeini.
00:29:30Mr. Gotspazade, the director of Iranian radio and television, has been a close aide of the Ayatollah since he was
00:29:36in exile.
00:29:36There are believed to be seven women who are hostages.
00:29:40In Washington, the State Department says it has contacted the U.S. Embassy but has not been able to confirm
00:29:45or deny those reports that some of the hostages are going to be freed.
00:29:50Meanwhile, the U.S. has been moving toward a tougher stand on the Iranian situation.
00:29:54Secretary of State Vance has flown to New York to urge that the United Nations Security Council not hold a
00:30:01meeting which Iran wants
00:30:02and not consider Iranian demands for an international tribunal to indict the Shah and force his extradition.
00:30:09Last night, the administration recalled Special Envoy Ramsey Clark, who'd been sent to negotiate with the Iranians.
00:30:15He'd been waiting in Turkey because the Iranians had refused to see him.
00:30:19And there are reports surfacing now that the deposed Shah may leave the U.S. for Mexico as soon as
00:30:26ten days from now.
00:30:28In some other news this morning, the Ralph Nader Health Research Group is charging that a government study shows
00:30:34the lenses which some cataract patients have been getting to save their sight can be dangerous.
00:30:39Dr. Sidney Wolfe of the Nader Health...
00:30:42...edges on some of those lenses actually pose a threat to sight.
00:30:46Striking teachers in the Argo Summit District No. 104 have approved a new one-year contract and will be back
00:30:53in their classes today.
00:30:54A spokesman says the teachers voted 52-4 last night to accept that contract, which gives them an 8.5
00:31:00% salary increase.
00:31:02Students have been out of classes since October 24th in the district.
00:31:06Reports are that at least eight of the 16 days which have been missed will be made up.
00:31:11Chicago School Superintendent Joe Hannon continues to meet with officials of two major banks
00:31:15in an effort to bail the school district out of a financial crisis.
00:31:19Hannon met yesterday with officials of the Continental Bank and the First National Bank of Chicago in hopes of obtaining
00:31:25$120 million in loans.
00:31:27Those negotiations will be resumed today.
00:31:29The crisis began on Tuesday when the Moody's Investors Service dropped the district's credit rating to the lowest possible level.
00:31:37Financial experts say that move made it likely that the school district will not be able to sell more than
00:31:41$120 million in notes next week to pay off some debts.
00:31:46Congress is considering aid to financially ailing Chrysler Corporation.
00:31:50The administration proposes $1.5 billion in loan guarantees.
00:31:54A House banking committee vote is expected on that proposal to make Chrysler set up a stock option plan for
00:32:00employees.
00:32:01But a Chrysler official says this could dilute the company's stock, making it less saleable.
00:32:06The President's bill to contain hospital cost increases goes to the House floor today.
00:32:12The measure would set guidelines for increases in hospital expenditures.
00:32:15If a hospital exceeds the guidelines, mandatory federal controls would be placed on its charges for some services.
00:32:23Officials in the city of Winooski, Vermont, say they are seriously considering putting a plastic dome over their entire town.
00:32:30That dome would have to cover an area of 850 acres.
00:32:35Winooski's Director of Community Development, Mark Teigen, explains why.
00:32:38It's been inspired by the idea that consultants have suggested there's upwards of 90% of fuel savings possible over
00:32:47a year, over a basis of a year.
00:32:51It's also been inspired by the scare given to Northeast in terms of availability of fuel oil.
00:32:59Teigen says that a dome over Winooski, Vermont, is still a long way off.
00:33:03It's still subject to further study, especially as far as cost and construction methods are concerned.
00:33:09WLS sports and the NBA last night, the Bulls were beaten by Washington, 118-105.
00:33:14At the stadium, Vancouver beat the Blackhawks 5-2.

00:49:25I know I'll never love this way again. So I keep holding on before the two years gone. I know

00:57:29What a land you've never seen, woman, came from the wind
00:57:35What a day she promised you ever, will you ever win
00:57:44She's a rock and a dark man, she's a dark man
00:57:50She's alive like a sun, a sky, a light, a wind, sky, a star, man
00:57:57For your life you've never seen, woman, came from the wind
00:58:05What a day she promised you ever, will you ever win
