Read Dream On as a story about leverage and the whole thing sharpens.
On paper, Lexington Hall holds everything. Fame, money, a machine behind him. Stevie St. James is a small-town girl working shifts.
But fame is a position other people can take away. Veronica builds her whole strategy around the thing Lex can't control — his public image.
Stevie has something nobody can revoke: a life that doesn't depend on him. She was somebody before he arrived.
That's why she can say no. And why, when he returns with the fake-relationship offer, she sets terms instead of accepting them.
The famous one came home needing something. The ordinary one didn't.
✨ What worked for me:
Watch how Stevie handles the offer. No desperation.
Lex's discomfort when she outmanoeuvres him.
✨ Bottom line: the cleanest power inversion I've watched this month.
who actually needs who here? 🐺
