00:00Let's start in the NL, which I think people are fairly surprised by.
00:05The Brewers jumping out to this 2-0 lead.
00:07I am.
00:08I'm thrilled.
00:09I hope they can hold on.
00:10What is Milwaukee doing right, and how does L.A. flip this thing around?
00:15Yeah, I mean, I think what Milwaukee doing right was what they've done all year,
00:19but really nobody has a big intention, right,
00:21is they are a team that really just works at bats and works counts.
00:27They saw 172 pitches the other night to the Dodgers, only 125.
00:32And, you know, I was at the NLDS against the Padres,
00:35and it was the first time I had really watched them closely, up close, in person.
00:39And I was so struck, guys, with how much they grind every single at-bat,
00:44and they don't give away at-bats.
00:46And you see guys go up there, and they're fine taking their walks,
00:49and they're fine spitting on close pitches, and that's what they do.
00:52And I know that they haven't been super defensively sound this October,
00:55but by and large, they are a good defensive team.
00:58And they're a contact team.
00:59They don't strike out, so they put a lot of pressure on offenses
01:01because once they're on base on first, they might as well be on third.
01:05And, you know, it would seem like the Dodgers would have the advantage,
01:08obviously running out, Terrick Scouble, and then Yashinobu Yamamoto.
01:12But they were able to get both of those guys out of the game very early,
01:16including Yamamoto, didn't go three.
01:17Then you look tonight, and you've got Snell, and it's like,
01:20well, Snell should be better, you know,
01:22than basically what's going to be a bullpen game starting with Robert Gasser,
01:26except Blake Snell doesn't hold runners well.
01:28So once you've got a guy on first, like they probably will,
01:32all of a sudden you're going to blink, and he's going to be on third.
01:34So the Brewers have really lived in the margins, guys,
01:36and that's what I think has made them so successful.
01:39I bet he definitely wants you to right now.
01:39People, anyway,
01:39But I hope I'm looking back.
