00:07I'm at the Navy Pier, and of course they have a hot dog here.
00:12I mean, this place was built well over 100 years ago,
00:17served as an area of refuge for the Navy during the wars.
00:22It was named in honor of the war, and of course, sits on Lake Michigan.
00:27And it's spectacular views, and they have a food court inside,
00:31and a part of that is a hot dog stand called America's Best Dog and Burgers.
00:36It was founded by two brothers who went on a road trip,
00:39wanted to bring the best hot dogs to Chicago.
00:41And 1995, it was turned into a grand entertainment complex.
00:45Big tourist attraction.
00:48Well, let's see if the hot dog is worthy of the tank.
01:14All right, inside, I was not too impressed by what I saw.
01:18It really is a food court.
01:19They also have America's Best Dog and Burger at O'Hare Airport and Midway Airport.
01:26This, though, was so cold and impersonal.
01:28You had to do a touchscreen ordering.
01:33It doesn't have the personal touch that was founded by these brothers in 1996.
01:38The hot dog does look good, and it is in the Hot Dog Hall of Fame,
01:43the VNB Hall of Fame, but they put anyone in the Hall of Fame.

01:51Well, let's see if the hot dog is actually past mustard.

03:12If you're coming to the Navy Pier, you're better off going on one of these boat tours.
03:16I mean, they look like a lot of fun.
03:18And you get spectacular sightings, but I wouldn't eat here.
03:29The other two America's Best Dog and Burgers are at airports, and it just felt like I'm at an airport.
03:39And it's cafeteria quality.
