00:00I'm not safe. I haven't been safe for years. I haven't been safe for years.
00:03The Amos murder five years ago today was a huge shock to everybody,
00:07particularly as he was seen as being really, across the board,
00:11a very popular political figure.
00:14Not an especially controversial one.
00:16Incredibly hardworking, been in the House a very large number of years.
00:20It was a big shock. Big, big, big, big shock.
00:23Look, I think public figures, I think MPs, are under more threat than they've ever been.
00:28And you're talking to the person that's been the most threatened of them now for over a decade.
00:34It is an ugly, ugly picture.
00:38There is now a deep intolerance that has crept into public debate,
00:42sort of thuggery, intimidation, violence and even terrorism.
00:46And my biggest worry is that you put off good people from going into public service.
00:54I'm not safe. I haven't been safe for years.
00:56I haven't been safe for years.
00:58And yet, you know, every time I've asked the state to help me going back a decade,
01:02they've generally refused.
01:04There's a different standard applied to me to everybody else.
01:07That's the way it is.
01:08Or, of course, thank you, sir.
01:08we've taken over aOLL day,
01:08going to check it out Oh, Ben.
01:08So, the time that you are going to take it Wait.
01:09What you are saying?
01:09That's one thing.
01:09That's very jornal докум重.
