00:00The stuff in the book about the warehouse that you lived in in downtown LA was just jaw on the
00:04floor. It was a warehouse in not a great part of Los Angeles. It was not in Hollywood. In fact,
00:11it was only about 10 blocks away that they caught Richard Ramirez, the Night Stalker. I remember
00:17when this chase was happening, we were running trying to, because it was a whole neighborhood
00:22caught the guy, right? That's how that went. He had to dress down in that neighborhood just to
00:28walk up the street to buy oak or something. I mean, it was, you'd get beat up. I mean,
00:33it was a tough neighborhood, but it had everything we needed. We had a place to sleep. We had a
00:37place
00:38to rehearse, and that saved us a lot of money, but we had to put up with a lot of
00:43things. We had no
00:44heat. We had no air conditioning, and it gets really hot, and it gets really cold at night in
00:51the winter months. So, you know, we just, it was paying our dues, you know? I mean, I look at
00:58it
00:58fondly now. At that time, I was like, let's go to the beach. Let's just go somewhere. Let's get out
01:04of this neighborhood for the day, you know?
