00:00I, I, I'm so glad I feel very vindicated.
00:04Sam Darnold is Trenton Dilfer when it comes to Super Bowl champions.
00:07Period.
00:09End of story.
00:11Clint Kubiak, this hid him behind K-9, Kenneth Walker, and Zach Charbonnet all year last year.
00:19And that play action worked to, to perfection.
00:23Mwah.
00:24Look at what Kenneth Walker has done for the Chiefs.
00:27Oh, man.
00:28This is the same thing he was doing for the Seahawks.
00:30That run game dominated.
00:33And it allowed what you see now, Sam Darnold's inability to make pressure passes not be necessary.
00:40He was awful tonight.
00:42He had a lot of yards.
00:44But when it came time for him to win the game for you, he threw it to the other team.
00:49Bad interceptions, too.
00:52Bad interceptions.
00:54And, John, the other thing, like, this Seahawks offense, you know, we were, you know, kind of concerned about the
01:03Kubiak-less offense that the Seattle team went.
01:07You know, Seahawks fans and everyone around the NFL was like, oh, it won't matter.
01:12They got Jadarian Price, and they'll figure out how to replace Kenneth Walker, and they have Charbonnet coming back at
01:17some point.
01:18And Darnold's just good.
01:19It wasn't Kubiak.
01:21And now I'm looking at some of these losses that they're having, and I'm kind of just like, maybe it
01:26was Kubiak making him look so good.
01:29There were some throws.
01:30Like, there have been some plays and some games this year where Darnold does look good, but it wasn't to
01:35the effect of last year, where it was like he was dominant throughout the season.
01:41He was decisive with the ball last year.
01:44Yes.
01:44And that's the difference.
01:45Right now, when you watch him play, he's trying to play off athleticism.
01:50The two interceptions he threw tonight was because he was trying to make something happen, throwing off-platform, doing these
01:56things you see guys like Caleb Williams do or Patrick Mahomes in his prime.
02:01You see him make these throws, you go, oh, my God.
02:04Sam Darnold's got a great arm, but he doesn't have the type of arm to be throwing from the opposite
02:09hash to the opposite sideline.
02:11He ain't got the cannon like that.
02:12And that's where two of those interceptions came from.
02:15He's trying to make throws that require elite arm strength.
02:18And I just think that at this point, we are now seeing him because, again, I think he's got 12
02:25interceptions.
02:25I think it is 12 interceptions in six games.
02:29And that's not counting the lost fumbles.
02:32Yeah.
02:32So I just think we are seeing this version of Sam Darnold.
02:36This is who he is.
02:37He's not what you saw last year because that was great coaching mixed with him showing he knows how to
02:42manage the game.
02:44What you're seeing right now is they're asking him to win the game for you.
02:49And he cannot do that.
02:50That's not in his skill set.
02:52And I think, John, what you're seeing is, you know, when he was with Minnesota and that coach with Kevin
02:58O'Connell and how good he was.
02:59Right.
03:00They were 14 and two going into the last weekend with the Lions.
03:03And he was unbelievable.
03:05Right.
03:06But that was an offensive minded coach.
03:08That was a quarterback's coach.
03:10He goes to Seattle.
03:11You're thinking, well, man, I don't know.
03:12Like Kubiak's not as good as O'Connell.
03:15But let's see.
03:16We now know that Kubiak is the truth.
03:18I mean, look at what he's doing.
03:19Yeah.
03:19I mean, he's doing the same thing in that office with Kirk Cousins.
03:24You know why the Raiders are respectable right now?
03:27Because they're buttoned up and Kirk Cousins doesn't throw the Kirk Cousins interception.
03:31Right.
03:32That's been coached out of him.
03:34He doesn't do it anymore.
03:35You know who does do it now?
03:37Sam Darnold.
03:38You know who Sam Darnold looks like right now?
03:40Jameis Winston.
03:41No disrespect to Jameis Winston.
03:43Three and one, aren't they?
03:44Three and one.
03:46But Jameis Winston, from time to time, will throw a ball.
03:49You go, what are you doing?
03:51So does Josh Allen, too.
03:53But Josh Allen can also run for 100 yards while doing stuff.
03:56I'm not bashing.
03:57He just cooked my favorite team.
04:00Sam Darnold has not been able to do that throughout his career.
04:04The year with the Vikings and last year are not, you know, the average.
04:10The average is what you're right now.
04:12This is who Sam Darnold is.
04:13A good NFL quarterback.
04:15But if you need him to win you the game, he can't do that.
04:19He's not a franchise quarterback.
04:21He's just a good quarterback.
04:22I don't know how Denver keeps winning some of these games.
04:26I mean, you look at Bo Nix's stat line on Thursday.
04:3017 of 27.
04:32Barely over 100 yards.
04:33He had 107 yards with no touchdowns and no picks.
04:36And a 71 rating.
04:39QB rating.
04:40That's with Jalen Waddell and Corden Sutton.
04:43I just, I don't know how they, you know, you look at the Rams, right?
04:48I know I keep pointing everything to the Rams.
04:49The Rams are like number one in offense and like number one in their top three in these categories.
04:53And they're two and three.
04:55And then you look at the Broncos.
04:56They're four and two.
04:57And they have had an atrocious offense.
04:59You know, they had a good, I guess, a decent first half.
05:02Then five punts and six possessions after that late.
05:05And they still won the game.
05:09Is this what Sean Payton took play calling back for?
05:12Right?
05:13Is this what it was?
05:15Well, they beat the Chargers.
05:16Yeah, that's not too difficult.
05:17To look lifeless at home where the Broncos play lights out at home.
05:23And I think maybe more if it's a defensive effort than it is an offensive effort.
05:26But they're awesome at home.
05:29And for Sean Payton to make such a, or for people to make such a big deal about Sean Payton
05:33taking a play calling back, for them to pretty much give you the same stinker that the other
05:38guy was calling plays about, to me, I don't really see the difference.
05:43And to me, this kind of exposes Sean Payton.
