00:01Dragon Lee comes from a small town called Tawa.
00:04Where he has told us, listen, there are not many opportunities there.
00:08He said, when he was 12 years old, the family packed up and
00:12they moved here to Mexico City, where he was able to train Corey.
00:16Four times a day on most weeks.
00:20Four times a day to prepare him for moments like this.
00:26Legs sweep by the challenger.
00:29What a fast pace early on between Chad Gable and
00:33Dragon Lee and that mutual respect that we talk about.
00:39Following right into the corner.
00:42Dragon Lee with the wrecking ball drop kick right in the face of the champion.
00:46That wrecking ball drop kick right over the road, right into Gable.
00:50And now, Dragon Lee is mounting the offensive attack.
00:55Drop kick right in the face of Chad Gable, who wisely rolls to the outside.
01:00Of course, Joe, champion's advantage in effect.
01:02Title only changes by pinfall or submission.
01:05Watch out.
01:07Dragon Lee scorching the earth.
01:10Dragon Lee.
01:15Ross Ross body rolls right through his table.
01:18Wow, what a counter.
01:24Lee.
01:26Tornado DDT, and you can tell Gable's greatly affected again.
01:31He is loose on those feet, and he gets sent to the Spanish announce desk.
01:43Well, we're having some recent flashbacks here.
01:45There's no way Dragon Lee's thinking about it.
01:47Is he, Corey?
01:48Yes, he's thinking about it.
01:50No way.
01:50He's thinking about Intercontinental gold.
01:52You gotta be kidding me.
01:54Almighty.
01:57My God, Joe.
01:59Chad Gable has him in.
02:03Olympic slam from the top.
02:06Can you believe this to try to retain?
02:08Shoulder was up as he pulled back hooking the leg.
02:13O Contrere, Dragon Lee has other plans.
02:17He's putting it in position for you.
02:23Chad Gable.
02:25The feet were up on the Moonsault, and it set Gable two-thirds of the way across the ring.
02:32There it comes, lights out, elbow.
02:35This could be it.
02:36Could we have a new Intercontinental Champion?
02:46Chad Gable now forcing Dragon to join him up there.
02:50This will not end well for anybody.
02:53But we saw moments ago Gable off the top.
02:55My God, my God.
02:57Would you look at this, and wrecked down by Lee.
03:03And now Gable, pamed on the outside, and Dragon Lee.
03:09Trying to find an escape route.
03:12Just kicks him back down into position.
03:17Dragon Lee up top, double stomp all the way to the floor.
03:25There's a big super kick.
03:27And now, perhaps, he can deliver Operation Dragon.
03:32Here we go, man.
03:35Chad Gable, epic release belly to belly by the Champion.
03:40Always finding a way.
03:42Can he be in position for the Moonsault again?
03:46Got him.
03:47What impact.
03:50Lee survives it.
03:56The German suplex attack now being put forth by Gable.
04:05Dragon Lee lands on his feet.
04:08Running knee to the back of the neck.
04:10This could be just the opportunity he needs.
04:14Operation Dragon.
04:16Could it be right here?
04:23Dragon Lee is looking for an answer.
04:25Vicious kicks right in the eyebrow on the Champion.
04:28How is Chad Gable holding on to that ankle lock?
04:31How is Dragon Lee's ankle not snapped yet?
04:34He's in the center of the ring, he's desperate to get that rope break.
04:39Rolls right through it.
04:41Unbelievable.
04:42Here he comes.
04:44Styles, glass.
04:44He's been there.
04:45New Champion.
04:47I see in Mexico City.
04:49No.
04:56This is indeed awesome.
05:03Dragon Lee trying to fight through the pain.
05:07But Gable refusing to relent.
05:09And Gable's back in position looking for the submission.
05:15Look at the torque on the ankle of the challenger.
05:18Dragon desperate, desperately kicking out of the hole.
05:20No, no, Grapevine's in, Grapevine's in.
05:25He is writhing in pain.
05:27I don't know that he's gonna survive it.
05:30He's gotta get that rope.
05:33Can Dragon Lee get there?
05:35He can't.
05:37Chad Gable retains.
05:39Here is your winner by submission, and still the Intercontinental Champion,
05:47Chad Gable.
06:05What a sign of respect.
06:08And what great stuff from Chad Gable, we mentioned not long ago.
06:14Leaving here humbled and unmasked.
06:17Needing to apologize and seeking redemption.
