00:00Hello everyone and welcome to Bombsport Next Generation.
00:03Before we begin, I'd like to take a moment to talk about the future of this channel.
00:08Over the past months, our project has faced some challenges and because of that,
00:12we've decided to reorganize and strengthen everything under a single network.
00:17Bombsport Next Generation will be dedicated to
00:20young athletes, U18 and U20 competitions,
00:24rising talents and future stars from around the world, while working together
00:28with the main Bombsport channel. At this moment, your support is more
00:32important than ever. You can help us by following our main channel, our
00:36Instagram and TikTok pages and by joining us on Patreon for exclusive
00:39videos and extended highlights. All links can be found in the
00:43description below. And if you'd like to support the project directly,
00:47donations are always appreciated and help us continue producing athletics content
00:52during this difficult period. For this first video, I'll be
00:55providing the commentary myself. Starting from the next videos, I'll
00:59hand things over to one of our female collaborators, who will become the main voice
01:03of Bombsport Next Generation. Thank you for being here and for
01:07supporting Bombsport. Now, let's get into today's video.
01:15Today, we are in the Czech Republic for the
01:172026 Czech Championships with the Heptathlon Long Jump.
01:23Two athletes from ASK Slavia Praha. One senior, one under 20, same team, same event.
01:31If you want to support the channel, Patreon is linked in the description.
01:35Now, let's start.
01:38We start with Valerie Janku. She is a Czech senior heptathlete, born in 2002.
01:45Here in Brno, she finishes the heptathlon with 5,204 points, a new personal best.
01:52And now, we watch her long jump, one of the key events inside her competition.
01:59On her first attempt, Valerie Janku jumps 5.92.
02:04That is a strong opening, and also an important mark inside the heptathlon.
02:09She puts good points on the board straight away, without needing to chase the competition from behind.
02:16On her second attempt, Valerie Janku fouls.
02:21No improvement this time, but the important thing is that she already has 5.92 from the first round.
02:27So the mark is there, the points are safe, and she still has one more attempt to try and add
02:32something more.
02:43On the final attempt, another foul for Valerie Janku.
02:47So her long jump ends with the opening mark, 5.92.
02:53She finishes fourth in the long jump and takes 825 points for the heptathlon.
02:58Important points for Valerie, in a competition where every event counts toward the final score.
03:19Now we move to Ilishka Jaroshova, also from ASK Slavia Praha.
03:25She is the under-20 athlete in this video, born in 2008.
03:30Ishan for her.
03:32Same team as Valerie Janku, but a different category.
03:35Now we move from the senior heptathlon to the under-20 race.
03:41Ilishka starts her long jump with 5.88.
03:45That is a very strong opening for the under-20 heptathlon.
03:48She puts a big mark down straight away, and in a combined events competition, that makes a real difference.
03:56Good first jump from Ilishka Jaroshova.
04:03On her second attempt, Ilishka Jaroshova improves to 6.09.
04:08That is a big jump, and it completely changes the level of her long jump competition.
04:14Over 6 meters in the under-20 heptathlon, and with important points going into her total score.
04:21On the third attempt, she fouls, so her best mark remains 6.09.
04:26A strong long jump from Ilishka, and one of the key moments of her winning heptathlon.
04:32So in this video, we saw two athletes from ASK Slavia Praha in the heptathlon long jump.
04:39Valerie Janku finished fourth in the senior long jump, and she went on to record a new heptathlon personal best
04:47with 5,204 points.
04:51Ilishka Jaroshova was even stronger in the under-20 competition, jumping 6.09 and winning the junior heptathlon with 5
04:59,327 points.
05:02Same team, two different categories, and two important long jump performances in Bruneau.
05:08Thank you for watching this first video on Bombsport Next Generation.
