We pack out suitcases and head to Piarco now.

But it's our national U15 footballers who will be making the long journey to Azerbaijan for the inaugural FIFA U15 World cup Festival.

The young boys said farewell to their parents earlier today and received their certificates in a sendoff at the VIP lounge just before their departure.

00:00Please welcome Jaleah Nantan.
00:08He has the mother's milk on his face still.
00:14Armed with their certificates, the future football stars were all set to make the 11,000-kilometer journey to Azerbaijan
00:20as part of the first FIFA Under-15 World Cup Festival.
00:23And though they are very young, third vice president of the TTFE, Jameson Riggs, reminded them of the responsibility they
00:30will carry.
00:31More than carrying the national colors, you are carrying hopes, dreams, and pride of the people of Trinidad and Tobago.
00:43When you step onto that field, play with courage, play with discipline, humility, and determination.
00:54Respect your opponents just as you would respect your teammates and your coaches.
01:00The schools, principals, and coaches were recognized for their roles in impacting the development of the 14 young men.
01:06And TTFE Technical Director Devin Elcock also spoke on the impact of the high-performance program.
01:13When we talk about TTFE high-performance program, it is easy to focus on the visible things like sessions, fitness
01:22work,
01:23the tactical preparation, the data, the travel, and the matches.
01:29But the real purpose of high-performance program is deeper than that.
01:34It is about building an environment where young players are challenged properly, supported fully,
01:42and prepared not only to compete at the highest level, but to carry themselves with discipline, humility, and pride.
01:51It's about turning potential into performance, and performance into responsibility.
01:57But he did not reserve his praise only for coaches and schools, but also the parents.
02:03You are the first coaches, the first supporters, and the first source of comfort when things are difficult.
02:10You have made many sacrifices.
02:14Adjust your busy schedules, trust in our staff, and work with the TTFE to make sure that your sons are
02:21here, ready, and represent our nation.
02:24And for that, I would like to say thank you for believing in the program and believing in all the
02:30children's dreams.
02:31Trinidad and Tobago will open their under-15 World Cup campaign on Saturday against Sin Kits and Nevis.
