00:00In week six, the Jets moved into Patriots territory eight different times. They finished
00:04with 324 total yards. They moved the chains. They created explosive plays, and after all of that,
00:10they scored one touchdown. And this started on the very first drive. The Jets marched down the field,
00:17took almost seven minutes off the clock, and Geno Smith even found Omar Cooper Jr. for what looked
00:22like a touchdown, except an offensive pass interference penalty on Tim Patrick wiped it
00:27away. And twice in the second quarter, the Jets faced fourth down in New England territory. Fourth
00:32and two from the 30, they were stopped. Then fourth and one from the 39, and they were shut down
00:38again.
00:39Those are the plays that turned a decent offensive performance into a winning one. The Jets,
00:44they just didn't make enough of them. So when you look at the 324 yards and the eight trips into
00:49Patriots territory, it's easy to say, hey, the offense wasn't that bad, and maybe that's true.
00:55But after further review, not that bad is exactly the problem.
