00:00It's just the violence that he plays with.
00:02He's downhill, and if he gets a little seam, he is able to be explosive.
00:05And then at the end of the run, he punishes.
00:07He's not looking to go down.
00:07He's not looking to go out of bounds.
00:09He does a really, really good job, and they open up holes nicely for him.
00:12And then they have a whole big game to loosen you up with the boot game
00:15and the keepers and a lot of the things they do in a play-action game as well.
00:18And then they have a bunch of screens to loosen that up as well
00:20if the edges get a little tight.
00:22So they protect him, but when it's his time to go, he can certainly go.
00:25Do you know Coach Fitzgerald at all?
00:26And how much respect do you have for what he did at Northwestern?
00:29I have a lot of respect for him as a player.
00:31I read the book Taking the Purple to Pasadena back in the day.
00:34I mean, he was a phenomenal, however many times All-American,
00:38probably arguably one of the greatest linebackers in college football.
00:41And then just as a person, he's a leader of men,
00:43and I had a chance to spend a lot of time with him
00:45at a couple different venues out of season
00:49and also now at the Big Ten media days in spring practices.
00:52So I have a ton of respect for him.
