the camera makes the argument before anyone speaks.

In the first half, he's framed at the edge. Doorways, frame left, behind a chair, half out of shot while she's centred. He gets focus last and loses it first. Twice he's in a wide shot and the furniture gets more of the frame than he does.

That's deliberate. He isn't shot as a husband. He's shot as an object in a room.

Then watch the switch. Around the point where he decides, he starts getting the centre. She starts standing at the edge. Nothing in the script changes — the camera just changes sides.

By the last scene, she's the one in the doorway.

✨ What worked for me:
- Compare episode two and episode fifteen. Same house, same shot.
- He's never given a close-up in act one.

✨ Bottom line: the blocking tells you everything.
