00:00Crochet hooks vs knitting needles, which is easier?
00:03So here is the question everybody keeps asking me, crochet hook or knitting needle, which one is genuinely easier to
00:09pick up?
00:10I went through the best deals on both sides, pulled 5 of the highest rated sets, and lined them up
00:16head-to-head.
00:17Links for all of them are down in the description, so let us find the one that fits your hands.
00:22Starting with the budget-friendly one.
00:25This is a 9-piece bamboo knitting needle and crochet hook set, sizes 2-6mm, and it is only $6
00:31in change.
00:33Bamboo gives you a warm grip and a little flex, so it feels kind instead of stiff, and it doubles
00:38as sewing needles too.
00:40Over 4,500 sold, people keep buying it.
00:44If you want to test the hobby without spending real money, this is the one.
00:48This next set goes a completely different route.
00:52Ceramic handle, Illumina tips, about $10.60 for the full kit.
00:57The ceramic stays cool and smooth in your hand during long sessions, and the Illumina hooks glide through yarn without
01:02catching.
01:03It is heavier in the hand than the bamboo set, and the rating is a touch lower, but for anyone
01:08doing a lot of crocheting at once, that cool grip is worth the extra couple of dollars.
01:14Now this one is the fancy setup, and honestly the one that surprised me.
01:1824 pieces with a built-in LED light and a digital row counter on the handle, 3930.
01:24The LED is a real lifesaver at night, because you can see exactly where your hook goes without fighting the
01:30shadows, and the counter means you never lose your place on a row again.
01:33It is the most expensive kit here, but it is also the most fun to just hold.
01:38Next, a set of 11 Tunisian and Afghan-style hooks in multi-color aluminum, 2-8mm, under $9.
01:4611 sizes in one case means you can move between a hat, a scarf, and a blanket without hunting for
01:51the right tool, and the aluminum is light enough that long Tunisian sessions do not wreck your wrist.
01:56Nearly 4,200 sold at a 4.9.
02:00The most versatile pick on this whole list.
02:03So that is the whole lineup, bamboo for cheap and cozy, ceramic for long comfortable sessions, LED and counter for
02:10working in the dark, and 11 sizes for versatility.
02:13Links for every set are in the description below.

02:22have to.
