00:00Because the odds of the World Series,
00:01I thought the Brewers might be a bigger favorite
00:04than what they actually are.
00:05Depending on the book, bet Chris, 160, 150, 170,
00:08somewhere in that range, that 20 cents range
00:10you're coming into.
00:11But the Brewers are favored.
00:12They have home fields.
00:13They have Mizorovsky in game one.
00:15And let's see what happens in this World Series.
00:18But the Rays are live.
00:20I don't think you can sit there and say,
00:23the Rays are going to get steamrolled in four games.
00:28I would be very surprised if the Brewers sweep the Rays.
00:32I would love it, but I'm going to wait.
00:35I've decided that I'm going to wait until after game one.
00:38I really want to see what the Brewers' offense looks like.
00:42Because the big opinion is,
00:44okay, you're throwing Mizorovsky in game one.
00:47Most likely, Peralta's not going in game one
00:50for the Tampa Bay Rays.
00:51Peralta wins the American League Championship MVP.
00:54I bet on Freddie Peralta a ton in this postseason.
00:58The guy is absolute nails, okay?
01:00He's been so damn good for the Brewers.
01:03That's why I bet on him.
01:04Sorry, for the Rays.
01:04That's why I bet on him last night
01:06for the Rays to win that game
01:07because of Freddie Peralta.
01:09So he's most likely not going game one,
01:12maybe game two.
01:13But you have Mizorovsky.
01:14And so you have an absolute gas can,
01:17flamethrower, MVP candidate,
01:20Cy Young Award winning National League pitcher
01:21starting game one, okay?
01:23So if it's game one, here we go.
01:27The Brewers have to win all games
01:29started by Mizorovsky, period.
01:31So if they win game one,
01:32the odds for the Rays,
01:35you would think at plus 140,
01:37go to like $2.
01:39So if the Rays are two to one after one game,
01:44then I'm going to bet the Rays
01:45because then I'll hedge a little bit
01:47and it won't cost me as much.
01:50I am tempted just to let it ride.
01:53I am tempted to take a position and say,
01:55you know what?
01:56If I lose the money, I lose the money.
01:57It's fine.
01:59But I do want to cover my ass just in case.
02:02And I do want to make it
02:03so I don't have to be chasing.
02:06So I need game one to go to Milwaukee.
02:09Now, if game one goes to Tampa,
02:10that changes a ton, right?
02:13Now, Tampa has home field.
02:15They've lost a Mizorovsky start
02:17and you've got great pitchers still to come, right?
02:21Rasmussen and they've been tremendous.
02:23You're right.
02:23Rasmussen, Martinez, and Freddy Peralta.
02:26Those three are going to be problematic.
02:29I mean, there are three really good pitchers
02:31that the Rays can run out in games one, two, and three.
02:34So that's why the Brewers have to win
02:37the Mizorovsky starts.
02:38So you win that,
02:39you have Logan Henderson going in game two,
02:41and you roll with the bullpen for the Brewers.
02:46I'm really excited to see.
02:48Yeah.
02:49As of right now, it's a coin flip.
02:51I would agree with you.
02:51I think it is a coin flip series.
02:53And so that's why I have to be careful.
02:55I do think the Brewers are going to win,
02:57but if I'm sitting here saying
02:58the Rays won the World Series,
03:00I'm going to be disappointed,
03:01but I'm not going to be shocked.
03:03So that, because I agree with you,
03:07germ dog,
03:08that's the only thing that's causing me to go,
03:10damn it, maybe I should bet six units on the Rays.
03:12I mean, come in and cut my,
03:15you know, I can right now,
03:16I can guarantee myself a six unit profit.
03:20I bet I've got, you know,
03:2212 to one coming in on the Brewers.
03:25I can bet plus 140, plus 150,
03:28put six units down on that.
03:30And I'm guaranteed, right?
03:32I'm going to cut into my Brewers win.
03:34If Brewers win, I win six units.
03:36If the Rays win, I win eight units, right?
03:40That might be the way I take this
03:42and I might have to take this
03:44or maybe I just let it roll.
03:46I don't know.
03:46Like, I think the Brewers win.
03:48I do, but I'm not stupid enough
03:50to discount the Rays,
03:52the way they're playing
03:53and how well they've played all year.
03:55It would be the most unassuming championship
03:57that I can remember,
03:58maybe dating back to the 2018 World Series
04:01for the Red Sox,
04:02where nobody saw it coming
04:03and nobody talked about it.
04:04And it was the biggest,
04:05like yawn championship.
04:07No one gave a flip about it
04:08except for Boston people.
04:10It was the, you know,
04:12Shane Victorino championship
04:13that everybody forgets
04:14that Boston won in 2018.
04:15Like they talk about 04, 07, and 13.
04:19Like, oh my God, they won those champs.
04:21And it's like, oh, by the way,
04:21they won it in 18 as well.
04:23And people are like, oh shit, right.
04:24They won it in 18
04:25because nobody remembers
04:27they won it in 18.
04:28This would be like that for the Rays
04:29if they win it.
04:30We're going to have to remind ourselves,
04:32oh right, the Rays won
04:33the championship in 26.
04:35It would be their first championship,
04:38but it would be
04:39the most unassuming championship.
04:40It would be the quietest championship
04:42in quite some memory.
