00:00It was billed as a mismatch as the United States Eagles came up against the tournament favorites, TNT's Calypso Girls.
00:07And it was the TNT defense making the difference in the early going.
00:23But neither team found their scoring touch as they failed to crack double figures in the first quarter.
00:28After jumping out to big early leads against Grenada and St. Vincent, the U.S. women presented more of a
00:34challenge, as the Calypso Girls' advantage was just four at the half.
00:38That goal will stand. So, 22-18.
00:44The U.S. Eagles were hardly a mismatch fighting to the bitter end, but even when Samantha Wallace-Joseph made
00:50a rare miss, the defense made the difference.
00:52The quarter comes to an end, but it's Trinidad and Tobago, St. Vincent, they know that. Time is coming down.
00:58So, again, to the goal shooter.
01:02She misses.
01:04She misses. So, opportunity for the Eagles.
01:07An interception by Simango.
01:10And good goal!
01:11Whoa!
01:12What a play there by Samantha and Seagull.
01:16As the Calypso Girls held off the U.S.A. Eagles by only five.
01:21Oh, one opportunity.
01:26And that was the end of the game.
01:28They were hustling, trying to get that last shot in.
01:31U.S.A. 38.
01:33Trinidad and Tobago, 43.
01:35Terrence Clark, TV6 Sport.
01:38Trinidad and Tobago, 44.
01:40Do you want to know that?
