00:00I think it's important for all of us to understand that the trillion dollars in health care cuts that Susan
00:11Collins paved the way for, right?
00:15She will say, oh, I didn't vote for the big ugly bill.
00:19She waited until they had enough votes.
00:22But I'm going to tell you something.
00:24She voted. In Congress, there's a lot of procedural votes that say, you can go ahead, you can go ahead,
00:31move it.
00:32It doesn't just show up on the floor one day.
00:33It has to pass committee, it passes rules, and at every single moment, you have an opportunity to stand up
00:42and say no.
00:43In the votes that allowed this trillion dollars in health care cuts to go to the floor, Susan Collins voted
00:51yes.
00:52Susan Collins, Senator Collins voted to allow this to proceed at every opportunity.
00:59And it is only when she thinks people aren't looking and aren't paying attention that she'll vote no thinking you
01:09don't know what she's up to.
01:11That she waited until it went past the post in order to say no at every other point when she
01:18said yes.
01:19But something that's very important for all of us to understand is that this trillion dollars in health care cuts
01:25across our systems
01:26is threatening the closure of our rural hospitals and our urban hospitals alike.
01:31But the first thing to go in every one of these systems is labor and delivery and OBGYN.
01:43It's when these hospitals need to stop the bleeding, the first wing that closes is women, delivery, babies.
01:53You can look at whether it's in Maine, New York, Iowa, everywhere in this country.
01:59And I want to raise that because not only did Susan Collins pave the way for women and people who
02:10are about to deliver a baby
02:12to have their lives in danger through defunding, but she also did it by supporting Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme
02:20Court.
02:23And stood by him and allowed Brett Kavanaugh to be named to the Supreme Court when there were standing, credible
02:32allegations of sexual assault against him.
02:36And that matters because Susan Collins, one of the only Republican female senators in a unique position to protect every
02:51woman in America,
02:52decided to declare open season on us instead.
02:57And I want to say for every woman in Maine, if we want to be able to deliver our children
03:05safely and for our men to in order to protect our families
03:10in moments of crises like these, the most important thing that we can do for women in Maine is to
03:17vote for Troy Jackson for the United States Senate.
03:28Because Troy believes in our reproductive freedom, Troy stands up for my and your right to choose both constitutionally and
03:45with dollars in our pockets.
03:51He has stood up for our equal pay, he has stood up for our rights, and the most important thing
03:59for us as women to do is to elect this man to the United States Senate.
