00:24I'm just here asking for an investigation to occur into what happened to me last Monday.
00:35I think there should be some type of justice that occurs on my part as a mom, as a wife,
00:44as a Virginia resident and American citizen.
00:48I hope that we see a thorough investigation into this occurrence.

01:01Last week, ICE agents threatened Carolyn Molina with a gun and lied about her following them
01:08and trying to run them over.
01:10This dangerous and dishonest nonsense unfortunately matches what we've seen from ICE, not just in
01:16Virginia, but across the country.
01:18There have been other recent ICE encounters in Northern Virginia, in addition to this one,
01:24where agents hurt people without justification or disappeared people without warrants.
01:30We want these agents off our streets and out of our communities.
01:35So after meeting with Carolyn Molina this afternoon, we are announcing an investigation to ICE's misconduct.
01:41In partnership with Representative Subramanian and Walkinshaw, but also with the Democratic leaders
01:47of the Judiciary Committee, the Oversight Committee, and the Homeland Security Committee.
01:52So that's Jamie Raskin, Robert Garcia, and Benny Thompson.
01:57We're also demanding that the agents involved be removed from duty while they're being investigated
02:02by the Department of Homeland Security and the review of what actually happened here.
02:06Let me now turn this over to Congressman Subramanian, who not only represents Carolina, but is also
02:12a very important part of the Oversight Committee.

02:22Carolyn Molina is not only a constituent, she's a mother.

02:26She's a daughter.
02:27She's a sister.
02:28She is someone who matters to our community.
02:31She's an American citizen, a law-abiding American citizen.
02:35And she did not deserve to have a gun pulled on her by an ICE officer.
