00:00If your downspouts turn into leaf-stuffed bird nests every fall, you're in the right place.
00:05I dug through the reviews and the sales numbers to find the top 5 gutter downspout guards for
00:09clog-free drainage and honestly, these are the ones people keep coming back to.
00:14First up is this rodent guard for downspouts, and the horizontally designed shape is the whole
00:18point, it slides right into 2x3 and 3x4 inch square downspouts and blocks critters from
00:23nesting while water still flows through. It's $11.49, it's got a perfect 5-star
00:29rating, and nearly 5,000 people have already grabbed one. If birds and mice in your gutters
00:35are your problem, this is a no-brainer. Number 2 is the A95i 6-pack, and the value
00:41here is kind of ridiculous, 6 expandable aluminum strainers in 1 box for $7.36.
00:47You just squeeze them into the downspout opening and they expand to fit, so leaves and debris
00:52get caught before they ever make it down the pipe. 5-star rating, almost 5,000 sold.
00:58For $7 and change, you can protect several downspouts at once, that's why it's on this
01:03list. Third is this 4-piece metal aluminum filter mesh set, and I love it because it tackles the
01:09gross stuff, leaves, debris, even mud, and silt. The fine mesh traps the small particles that other
01:15guards let slip through, which means fewer mystery blockages deep in your drain line. It's only $7.50
01:22for 4 guards, rated 5 stars. If you've got older gutters that clog with sludge, this one's worth
01:28it. Number 4 is the 8-piece version of that same aluminum mesh guard, and this is the one for
01:34bigger
01:34houses. 8 pieces means you can do the whole perimeter in one go, no second order, no mismatched
01:40sizes. It's $12.45 for the set, still a perfect 5-star rating, and nearly 4,900 sold.
01:49Price it out per guard and it's actually the cheapest way to cover every downspout you own.
01:54Fifth is this 4-pack of expandable aluminum gutter guards, and it's the nice middle-ground,
01:59sturdy strainer filters that pop into the downspout and hold their shape season after season.
02:04At $10.47 for 4, it's a little more per piece, but people say they hold up better than the
02:10flimsy
02:10plastic ones. 5 stars, almost 4,800 sold. Great pick if you want something that'll last
02:18a few winters. So that's the list, all 5 links are in the description below, along with current
02:24prices. Grab whichever fits your downspouts, and you can stop climbing that ladder every
02:29other weekend. If this helped, hit the like button and subscribe, I'll keep finding the good
02:34deals for you.
