A major political row has erupted after Union Home Minister Amit Shah strongly condemned Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge for an abusive remark directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's family during a speech in Patna. Kharge had made allegations of vote theft regarding elections in Bihar, West Bengal, Haryana, and Maharashtra. When interrupted by an audience member stating that Narendra Modi would not leave, Kharge responded that Modi's father and mother would also go. Shah accused the Congress chief of crossing all limits of political decency and claimed the party has turned to abusive politics out of frustration following successive electoral defeats. Shah maintained that voters have consistently rejected derogatory attacks aimed at the Prime Minister.
