Meet Beta Pictoris b, a giant world about 63 light-years away and 10–12 times the mass of Jupiter, in a system only about 23 million years old.

Using the MeerKAT radio telescopes, astronomers caught bursts of auroral radio waves coming from the planet itself — the first radio emission ever pinned to an exoplanet, rather than its host star. The signal reveals a magnetic field of at least 1,250 gauss, thousands of times stronger than Earth's.

Honest notes: this is aurora physics, NOT an alien signal. And this result is a September 2026 preprint, not yet peer-reviewed. But if it holds, it may be the loudest magnetic heartbeat we have ever heard.
