00:01So it's a victory Monday if you count all the teams you probably wanted to lose yesterday
00:06losing and if you rewind to Thursday as well.
00:09Good morning.
00:10It's Jeremy and Joe.
00:11Jeremy's off through Wednesday.
00:13I'm back from a quick trip to D.C.
00:16Did not go to the Sabre game.
00:18So we were talking about we were talking about this earlier.
00:21That was total coincidence that they were playing the same weekend I was there and it
00:26was end of our trip.
00:27We were getting up like four o'clock the next morning and I did think like in we've
00:34had a couple of callers about this that there really isn't a lot differentiating like NHL
00:39buildings building the building like it's not ballparks or football stadiums.
00:43So I don't know if you Madison Square Garden was the only one we could think of where
00:47like that's one hockey rink that I'd like to see that's different.
00:52Yeah, I have not been there for a hockey game only basketball.
00:55Yeah, yeah.
00:56I think that some of the ways that if I remember right and somebody could tell me wrong, especially
01:01in the media, I think Joe that the Tampa like the press box for that arena is more
01:06on the end than in the center.
01:08So I think it's a little different as well.
01:10That's that huge scoreboard in Tampa when you go to see the lightning play like that's
01:15a bit of a different arena there.
01:17But yeah, you're probably right about that.
01:18But I mean, I think it's wild that you went there to not go to when you found out, didn't
01:24you be weren't you like, oh, I got to go to the game now?
01:26We yeah, that was yes.
01:28Like, how do I not go to the game?
01:29We were looking at tickets like we should probably go.
01:31We didn't have tickets on the day of we were still thinking about it.
01:35And just we're like, let's just watch the game somewhere else.
01:38I don't know.
01:39And, you know, like we were not in a great mood, maybe me and my brother, especially
01:43because we were the two that would have gone to the game.
01:45We're not in a great mood about them, Sal, from the weekend and not getting hella buck.
01:50And I don't know.
01:51It's just how do you feel about them right now?
01:53Are you in are you in as bad of spirits as some?
01:56Are you staying more centered at the moment?
02:00I'm a little bit nervous because I think that a lot of things we worried about are coming
02:06to fruition, which is that they didn't really improve.
02:09And we kind of saw this coming, but you also knew that they were banking on internal growth
02:14and that's always a bit risky.
02:16And there's been kind of none of all of that happening at once to get you a little bit higher
02:21than where you should be.
02:22But at the same time, Joe, they're not in a terrible spot, right?
02:25They're OK.
02:26And they're still kind of right there in the mix.
02:30I think that all the things that people are saying about not being as good as they were
02:35after game seven, and I've said it, are correct.
02:37Not making a move to maybe improve the goaltending, probably correct.
02:42But I don't know.
02:43What are you giving up there?
02:45We all don't know the exact price.
02:46So there's a lot of things they're going to.
02:48I guess I want to see it play out a little bit longer to get more mad because it's possible
02:54they can go on some sort of run here.
02:55But at the same time, hockey seasons get late early, if that makes sense.
03:01Suddenly you're looking, you're like, wait a minute.
03:03I know last year they had this amazing run when they were bottom of the conference in
03:08December.
03:08I get it.
03:09But that was a pretty rare thing.
03:10It was very rare, which is why it's like that's going to be there all year, right?
03:16At least until December, because that's when it happened.
03:18If they are flirting with the bottom or they're in the mix, like you said, which they are at
03:24the moment, like you'll have that example of, well, last year, you know, like December
03:29is really when they really started firing on all cylinders.
03:32But you're right.
03:33Like it's not often that you could dig yourself out of a hole even three months into a year
03:40like that was like you usually got to get going earlier than that.
03:43So we're only 11.
03:44Joe, real quick, you, you opened up by saying it was a good weekend for teams losing and
03:50victory Monday.
03:52And I thought you're going to, how about Syracuse snapping an 11 game ACC losing streak, being
03:57Bill Belichick.
03:57Like that was so sweet for me to do it by beating Bill Belichick, to be quite honest with you.
04:01Yeah.
04:02I mean, like, I mean, it's been tough because they've just haven't been very good and they've
04:06been very close.
04:07And the one thing Syracuse has always had, they just don't have this year as a kicker.
04:10They, they've always had these great kickers and the kicker has cost them a lot, uh, this
04:16year and this kicker almost cost them again, but they won the game.
04:20And honestly, it was really cool because Saturday night was, it was kind of a later game stayed
04:23up over time.
04:25They wind up winning late pressure game.
04:27And those are the kinds of games you're always like, come on, they had such a chance
04:29to, but that was pretty cool.
04:31So that, that started actually Thursday started, I think for Buffalo sports fans, obviously
04:35the, you know, victory like of the NFL, like the, the bears over the Patriots, the
04:40nice weekend.
04:41Yep.
04:41That was nice on Saturday for me personally and Syracuse fans.
04:44And then I thought yesterday, I agree with you.
04:46I think yesterday was a really good day for the bills overall.
04:48Yeah.
04:48And if you run into Thursday, obviously even more so because Chicago gets the win over
04:53the Patriots, but yes, Al yesterday, like taking the league in without the bills, you
04:58know, there's Sunday night football, the chiefs only scoring three points and they don't
05:01reach the red zone for the first time in my homes, his career, um, the Ravens losing
05:05before that.
05:06Let's start with the chief game last night.
05:08Like they, do you think the Seahawks exposed something in Kansas city's offense or are you
05:14approaching it as that's one of the best defenses in football?
05:17They're going to do that to a lot of teams, especially a defense like the bills.
05:20You would not, they just don't have the personnel that Seattle does like recreating that would
05:25be a lot harder for them.
05:26Well, I'm going to say this.
05:27I think the bills actually match up really well against Kansas city this year, believe it
05:30or not.
05:31And that's because I don't think Kansas city is not this high octane throw high octane
05:34throw it down the field offense.
05:36So it's a kind of a, the perfect confluence of events for Seattle to beat them because
05:41both those things are true.
05:42I think that they have a, they have a very talented defense.
05:44They have a very good defensive coach too, by the way.
05:46Right.
05:46He, he understands like football and defensive football and how to do all that.
05:51They were very talented.
05:51So yeah, all of that is true.
05:53I don't want to take anything away from Seattle at all because all of that is true for them.
05:58No doubt.
05:58They're the defending super bowl champions and a lot of that was because of their defense
06:02and their defensive head coach, who's very smart.
06:05However, this chief's offense is way different than a lot of chief's offenses of the past.
06:10They rely on the run game, Patrick Mahomes.
06:13I looked it up last night, going into the game last night.
06:15I haven't checked today.
06:16I have to go back and look and see if it's any different.
06:17I don't think so because it was a big gap.
06:20Patrick Mahomes, out of 29 qualifying quarterbacks in the NFL, 28th highest ADOT, average depth
06:28of target.
06:29Yeah.
06:29They are a dunk it down underneath, not throw it over the top of you, rely on the run game
06:36offense.
06:37The teams that, the way that the Bills play, and I say, the reason I say, I think it's
06:41a decent matchup for the Bills.
06:43The Bills are actually good against the run.
06:46They know how to shut, they have not had running backs go off against them.
06:50Like, I think the Bills can dial in a guy like, you know, Kenneth Walker.
06:54What's hurt the Bills is these, is passes and teams throwing the ball on them.
06:58And I'm not saying that Kansas City can't do that.
06:59Of course, you play Mahomes, maybe that's going to be their game plan.
07:03They're going to counter that.
07:04They're going to throw it on the Bills.
07:05They're probably going to have some success.
07:07But I do think that it's more of the Chiefs offense and their style.
07:12And if you have a defense that can really lock in on the run game, you're going to, they're
07:16going to struggle.
07:17And they did last night.
07:18It might have even gone down.
07:19I'm looking at Mahomes at 31st or tied for 30th in ADOT so far this year.
07:24So maybe it did go down after last night's game.
07:27Yeah.
07:27I was looking at qualifying leaders.
07:29I don't know if enough guys have passed.
07:31But either way, you know who, you know who was last on the list?
07:33Who?
07:33Bo Nix.
07:35Okay.
07:36Right.
07:36Either way, he's really, really low.
07:39That's right.
07:39I think that might be, you're right, the type of offense that the Bills are able to do
07:46well against, what would you rather have?
07:48The team, they've seen a few of these teams, right?
07:50With Amonra St. Brown or Nico Collins.
07:52These teams that have elite level receivers or the run team that might be limited a bit
07:59in that area, which I think that is exactly Kansas City.
08:01You're right.
08:02The Seattle was able to shut down Kenneth Walker yesterday.
08:05And now it's up to Kansas City pass catchers to get open.
08:08And it's just Kelsey again.
08:10Right?
08:10Like, who else is out there that they're counting on?
08:14They don't ever see Rice.
08:15But, man, like, nobody seemed dangerous.
08:18Nobody seemed to be getting open.
08:20Mahomes had no options down the field.
08:22And I don't know, like, can Christian Benford and IGB cover Cyrus Allen and Xavier Worthy?
08:28Like, I don't think it should be as tall a task as some other opponents might be.
08:31No.
08:32And, Joe, like, it's wild to me.
08:35I looked it up the other day and I tweeted this out and I'd have to go find it exactly.
08:39But, you know, because they're linked together, Worthy and Coleman, right?
08:43Like, and because Coleman's having this resurrection of his career, I went and I did the comparison.
08:49And there's some things that Worthy's been better in.
08:51There's some things that Coleman's been better in.
08:53You could argue that.
08:54But the most fascinating thing about Worthy v.
08:57Coleman right now is they look like the opposite player each of us thought they were.
09:03Coleman is the guy with the higher, high average depth of target, high yards per catch.
09:09All those things that explosiveness.
09:12Worthy's the guy they're dumping it down, getting the ball to, to try and run after the catch.
09:16It's super wild.
09:17And I just find this weird.
09:19And so to relate it back to the Kansas City conversation, like, they're, I tweeted last night, they're using, they're
09:24using Xavier Worthy like Isaiah McKenzie.
09:27That's what they're using him like.
09:28Like, he is not running down the field catching passes and they don't have that type of threat.
09:33Carl Jones basically said it.
09:34And this was the thread.
09:35We were all kind of, me and Carl and yards per pass were kind of, you know, in a conversation
09:39together.
09:40It was all the same thing, which was Carl's like, they don't have anybody to get down the field.
09:44And I'm like, I know.
09:45And the one guy they do, they use like Isaiah McKenzie.
09:48If you shut down their run game, I don't know what they have, you know, other than trying to find
09:54Kelsey to get inside some zones.
09:57Right.
09:57Basically, which is what they've been relying on a lot in these recent years when they haven't had downfield passing.
10:03Yeah, Worthy, it's like he's a gadget guy almost.
10:05Not even quite gadget guy, but he's a yak guy.
10:07They want to make him a yak guy.
10:08Right.
10:09Basically.
10:10Yeah, and Seattle, Sal, like, they're not in the AFC, so we don't have to worry about them right now.
10:15But they've just got a couple of individual players that are so impressive.
10:19Like, Emin Worry chasing Mahomes down and covering Worthy, by the way, in space.
10:23JSN, I think that's a point, too, from yesterday.
10:28Like, Walker gets shut down.
10:30You know, is it easier to shut down an elite running back, an elite run game like that, than it
10:34is JSN?
10:35I mean, nobody does anything to JSN week to week.
10:39He's amazing.
10:40He really is.
10:42And some of those throws from Darnold last night were just amazing.
10:46He was on.
10:46And then he threw a really bad pick in the end zone, obviously.
10:49But, you know, that kept the game close.
10:50I kept thinking to myself, this is how the Chiefs are going to win, right?
10:52They're just going to – the Seahawks just make a mistake here and a mistake there, and the Chiefs stay
10:57in it.
10:57And that's Andy Reid, and they're going to wind up winning at the end.
10:59And then Butker misses a couple kicks.
11:01Chiefs made a lot of uncharacteristic kind of plays or mistakes last night.
11:05Butker missed those two kicks.
11:06They missed a lot of tackles last night, I felt.
11:08You normally don't see them missing those tackles.
11:10In fact, I looked it up.
11:11They were only – they had the second few of those missed tackles in the league going into last night.
11:15So you don't see that.
11:16And I've said – it goes back to the conversation about their offense.
11:21Their margin for error is pretty thin.
11:24If you can shut down their run game and make a couple plays on them, they have to be on
11:29point on a lot of those things.
11:30So I find it interesting.
11:32So I wake up this morning, look at it.
11:33I just tweeted it out at Sales Sports, and people want to look.
11:35The current AFC standings, the Bills are actually still the number two seed because the Chiefs' loss was out of
11:42conference.
11:43The Bills' loss was in conference.
11:44They're both 5-1.
11:46But, Joe, I mean, there appears to be – and I know there's still more than half a season left,
11:52right?
11:53Yep.
11:53But it really looks like there are just – there are nine teams for seven spots.
11:58Like, there's only – like, if you look, you go nine deep, New England and Baltimore on the outside looking
12:02in,
12:02and certainly they could make the playoffs.
12:04And you take the seven who are in the spots right now, Casey, Buffalo, Cleveland, Jacksonville, Denver, Pittsburgh, Cincy, New
12:10England and Baltimore.
12:10That's it.
12:10I don't think anybody outside the top nine we're really going to give any thought of maybe being in this
12:15playoff mix.
12:16No, I agree with that.
12:17And also, Sal, like, I was just going to bring the seeding up, too, with you.
12:21You tweeted out this morning.
12:22Yeah.
12:23The one – how do you feel like the one seed is really setting up, the one seed race is
12:27setting up?
12:27Because you have the Bills and Chiefs tied up there at 5-1.
12:30You mentioned the moment conference records, the tiebreaker, but we've got time on that.
12:34The teams around them, like, how many do you feel like are going to be in the mix for this?
12:40Like, when I see, okay, Cleveland up there and Pittsburgh and, you know, some of these teams I just don't
12:46really give the time of day to in this conversation.
12:48But do you feel like it's going to be a two-team, maybe three-team race?
12:53Like, I think it's setting up pretty nicely for the Bills that Baltimore, New England, like, a couple of those
12:59teams I might –
13:00Houston, the season overall.
13:02There were a couple teams that I thought might be in it for the one seed that are either two
13:06or even more than that back.
13:07So I would say it this way.
13:09I don't think there's any – I don't think there's any way anybody who wins the North is going to
13:12get the one seed.
13:13Correct.
13:14Right?
13:14Like, the North champion isn't going to be in a position to win the one seed the way it looks.
13:17Would you agree with that?
13:18I agree with that, yes.
13:19Okay.
13:20So I think the one seed is either going to be the champion of the East, the South, or the
13:24West.
13:25But I don't think it's New England if it's the East because they already have three losses.
13:29Right.
13:30They'd have to kind of run the table or maybe one more last seed.
13:33Generally, the one seed is like a three-loss team only.
13:37Maybe at the most.
13:38Yeah.
13:38New England already has three losses.
13:40So I think the only team in the East that can get it is Buffalo.
13:43You could get it out of the West because – dude, Denver and Kansas City next week play for first
13:48place.
13:48Yeah.
13:49They play next week.
13:49The winner of that game is first place.
13:51Jacksonville looks to be the team that's kind of the sneaky one here because look at their schedule.
13:57I mean, they have a bye.
14:00They get the Colts, the Ravens, and the Titans, Giants, Titans.
14:03Yeah, wow.
14:04That's pretty soft.
14:05They get the Steelers, the Cowboys, the Commanders, the Colts again.
14:08Yeah.
14:08Like, I think that the Jags are in the best position schedule-wise to get the one seed.
14:14But I think it's coming out of either the Jags, the Bills, or whoever wins the West.
14:19I think that's the best way for me to put it.
14:20You know, looking back, good thing Houston won that game, right?
14:22Because if they had only one loss in that schedule – I didn't know their schedule was that soft post
14:26-bye.
14:26I would be thinking about them for it.
14:29And I think they're in it, too.
14:31Do you feel like – I don't know how much you've seen of Denver, how much you might have seen
14:34of them yesterday.
14:35But at two losses, do you feel like they have it in them to go on a run like this?
14:40Because they have the wins.
14:42But, man, they still don't look impressive.
14:44And I know that's a lot of just the offense.
14:46Have you looked at their schedule?
14:48No, I'm going to pull that up right now.
14:49Go look at Denver's schedule.
14:50They have opportunity, Joe.
14:53They're like Jacksonville.
14:54You're right.
14:54Like, they've got a lot of soft games.
14:56Right?
14:56I mean, yeah.
14:57You look at Denver's schedule right now.
14:58Let me go –
14:59Kansas City, Carolina.
15:01And then they have a bye.
15:02And then it's Raiders, Steelers, Dolphins, Jets, Raiders.
15:05Yep.
15:06Well, because suddenly the Raiders look like a softer opponent than they might have been a couple weeks ago, right?
15:10And, I mean, who knows?
15:11The Panthers are the most Jekyll and Hyde team I've ever seen.
15:13It's kind of crazy, right, what they're doing.
15:17I mean, there is a world where you could say, like, you kind of might want Kansas City to beat
15:21Denver next week.
15:23How so?
15:24Just to take them out of it?
15:25Because Denver's schedule is so soft.
15:27Yeah.
15:28That, like, if you – because you have a chance to beat both of them if you're the Bills, right?
15:32But you've got to go to Denver on Christmas.
15:34You get Kansas City at home on Thanksgiving.
15:37But look at Kansas City's schedule.
15:39You could find more losses there.
15:41I do agree with that.
15:42I don't know if I want to trust Denver, though, to just beat all those bad teams, right?
15:47I know.
15:48You know, Bo Nix is – I don't think Bo Nix is playing well at all.
15:51But they are – they're finding ways to win games.
15:53That's right.
15:53The Chiefs still have the Broncos.
15:56Yeah.
15:56They still have the Rams, the Bills, the Bengals, the Patriots, the Niners.
16:01I mean, the Chiefs' schedule is pretty tough.
16:05Yeah.
16:06Yeah.
16:06We'll see.
16:07I feel like it might end up just being Bills' Chiefs again.
16:09But I think a couple of these teams we're mentioning, Jacksonville specifically, are worth thinking about, too.
16:14Well, what about this week's matchup, Sally?
16:16Just to get on it a little bit early on here on a Monday.
16:19Bills post-bye.
16:20We'll see what they look like in the Joe Brady era post-bye.
16:23They historically were great after the bye with Sean McDermott.
16:26So, Josh Allen has that resume, too.
16:30Baltimore, as an opponent, is it almost impossible to really gauge what the threat is here because we don't really
16:37know what is going to happen with Lamar Jackson?
16:41Or do you feel like we can almost start to guess that maybe he would be back this week?
16:45Because it seems like it's been trending towards him returning the last two weeks, but he still hasn't yet.
16:51Which is why I don't want to lean all the way into, oh, yeah, I think he's going to play
16:55because that's kind of weird to me, the way it's kind of gone down.
17:00It feels like it felt like he was going to play this week towards the end of the week.
17:04And then he didn't.
17:05So, I'm like, okay, well, that means he's got to play next week, right?
17:08But I don't know, Joe.
17:09I mean, if he was able to play this week, I guess he would have.
17:13It's a division game.
17:15I understand, like, trying to protect you from yourself and not getting re-injured and all that kind of stuff.
17:20But even if he plays, you know what that tells me?
17:22That even if he plays against the Bills, I don't think he's to the point where he's going to be
17:27the full Lamar, right?
17:28Like, if he wasn't able to play at all this week, and then, you know, you get him next week,
17:33is that suddenly like, oh, yeah, he's 100%?
17:36That means he, what, he didn't want, they didn't play him at 75%, 80%, which you think they would have.
17:40I don't know.
17:41It's an interesting situation.
17:43I do think a lot of it, you know, handicapping this game depends on that.
17:48But, look, I also think just from the Bills' perspective, Joe, I mean, they're getting healthy themselves.
17:53We'll find out this week their own injury report starting on Wednesday.
17:57But DJ Moore has now had a month to get that shoulder back.
18:01Ed Oliver's had a month or so whenever, you know, his last time he played to get healthier again.
18:07Chubb and Kincaid left last game with rib injuries, but they both came back in some capacity.
18:13So, you feel like that's going to be okay.
18:16Jordan Hancock's eligible to come off IR, which helps because C.J. Gardner-Johnson's gone.
18:19That's the big loss, obviously, on the field, C.J. Gardner-Johnson.
18:23So, you know, I think the Bills are a good position here, but I'll say this.
18:30This reminds me a bit of New England when they came to town, which is, I mean, and the LA
18:36Chargers.
18:37Chargers were just terrible, though.
18:38It's a wounded, desperate team that needs to win with talent.
18:43And any time you have that, it is very dangerous.
18:46That's who the Ravens are coming to Buffalo this week.
18:48Right.
18:49The Lamar thing, though, I do agree with you.
18:51That, like, if he does play, I'm almost expecting it to not be full Lamar, which is why I like
18:57the Bills' chances a lot this week.
18:59Because, like, New England, you did have that.
19:02And I guess New England, you had the injury question, too, because we were wondering about Drake May's shoulder the
19:05whole week.
19:06But I've got Drake May there.
19:07I know I've got a talented quarterback that's going to be on the field for them.
19:10Baltimore, I don't know that.
19:12I might have a backup.
19:13And then if Lamar plays, like, I think, Sal, as we prepare for maybe a full week of, you know,
19:19Bills' and Ravens' discourse online with Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, maybe it'll be...
19:24Oh, my God, I thought I forgot about that.
19:25It might be watered down a little bit because Lamar hasn't been playing.
19:28But I tend to think, this is my own personal opinion of, like, where those two are.
19:33I think they're the two most impressive quarterbacks in the league.
19:36And I think the one thing that separates them more than anything is Lamar is always dealing with these injuries.
19:43And he'll even play through them.
19:45But last year, I looked this up this morning, that after he came back from his injury last year,
19:51he averaged less than 20 yards per game rushing the rest of the year.
19:56And, like, that is not Lamar Jackson.
19:58That is not peak Lamar Jackson.
20:01So, it almost doesn't even matter, I guess, like, well, when they're both at their best, are they both the
20:06two best quarterbacks in football?
20:07I think yes.
20:08But how often has Lamar been at his best when he's dealing with these injuries and now it's an ankle,
20:13which he's struggling to come back from?
20:15Like, it's not like it's a left elbow injury or a shoulder.
20:20Like, if he's dealing with an ankle injury and he's not as mobile, I mean, Sal, he gets so much
20:26easier to defend, I think.
20:27And that's what you saw last year when he returned.
20:29Yeah.
20:30So, a couple things on this.
20:31Number one, all right, I forgot about all the Josh versus Lamar stuff we're in for.
20:36But anybody who denies or wants to push back on the main thing that Josh, no matter what you can
20:43say about hardware or statistics or talent or anything between these two guys, Josh plays.
20:51He's available.
20:52That is not a Lamar thing, folks.
20:54That's a Josh Allen thing.
20:56Josh is available more than anybody.
20:57I don't care who you're talking about.
20:59He just plays.
21:00I mean, he has, I always say, knock on some wood in that studio somewhere, Joe.
21:05He has the longest starting streak of any quarterback.
21:09I believe he wants the record.
21:11Like, I think he wants to be the guy who starts the most games consecutively in NFL history at quarterback.
21:16Brett Favre has that record.
21:17He's got to go another many years to do that.
21:19But I think he wants to do that.
21:21Like, that's important to him, which is crazy, right?
21:22But he plays through anything.
21:24That is not, I saw some of that today from somebody, a Lamar fan, a Ravens fan.
21:28Well, Lamar had this injury and that injury.
21:30You can't compare.
21:31Dude, don't, it's not about Lamar.
21:33Josh is just different.
21:34He just is.
21:35He is built different.
21:36He's this tough dude that plays through anything.
21:37You never hear him complain.
21:39And that is not a knock on anybody else.
21:40It's just the way he is.
21:41So, any discourse about that, anybody who wants to argue that, just put that off to the side.
21:48Because that's ridiculous.
21:49That's about Josh.
21:50The second thing.
21:51The guy who concerns me is Zay Flowers in this game.
21:55Not Lamar.
21:56Not Derrick Henry.
21:57I'm going to give you a Derrick Henry stat.
21:59Now, I know some of this is because Lamar is not on the field.
22:01Do you know what, Derrick Henry, do you know off the top of your head what he's averaging rushing this
22:04year per carry?
22:05I know it's not a lot because a caller earlier was complaining about him having four fantasy points per game.
22:10But I can't imagine it's much.
22:123.9.
22:13He's less than four.
22:14Yeah.
22:14Okay, Derrick Henry's been in the league.
22:16This is his 11th year.
22:17How many times in his career has he averaged less than four yards a carry over a season?
22:22I bet he's never done that.
22:23Never.
22:24It's the first time.
22:24Right now.
22:25He's averaging less per carry this year than he ever has in any season in his career.
22:29I know it's early in the season or near midway.
22:32I know he has no Lamar Jackson with him.
22:34But he's also 32 years old.
22:36He also has carried the ball 2,809 times in his career.
22:40Okay?
22:41Like, I just think that, yeah, it is possible for sure.
22:47If you're doing this show in Baltimore this morning, you might be talking about the wear and tear and Derrick
22:52Henry and where he is right now in his career.
22:54Yeah.
22:54A lot of time to talk about Henry this week.
22:56Because, right, like, the Bills also, we talked about this with the Chiefs earlier.
22:59They're stopping the run better, and maybe that's the area you would expect them to do well, is stopping Henry.
23:07Flowers, you're right.
23:08Exactly right.
23:09Problems through the air, and Flowers is averaging over 100 yards per game this season.
23:13That's the guy that scares me, because the Bills, I think the Bills can stop the run from Baltimore.
23:18They've done a good job of that.
23:20The Bills are one of the better teams in the league at not only stopping the run, actually one of
23:23the best teams in the league is stopping running backs.
23:25It's actually quarterbacks that hurt him a little bit, which is why if Lamar does play and if he is
23:30mobile, that scares you a little bit.
23:32But to me, it's Zay Flowers who really, I think, about you have to kind of worry a little bit
23:37about getting off in this game.
23:38But we've got a lot of time to digest this.
23:40We'll see.
23:40Nothing with the Bills today and tomorrow.
23:42Wednesday will be their first day on the practice field for a normal Sunday 1 o'clock game.
23:47Allen, by the way, Sal, would break the Favre record in Week 6 of 2036.
23:54Which, that Favre record is insane.
23:57It's incredible, right?
23:58He's still, because Allen's streak is pretty long, but he's 10 years away still.
24:02I know.
24:03I hope he gets there and he's doing it in a Bills uniform.
24:06That's what I'll say.
24:07That would be pretty cool.
24:08Well, we'll talk on Wednesday, right?
24:09Injury report later in the week and hopefully, you know, I bet things are going to go pretty well, but
24:14we'll see when we get there.
24:16Thank you, Sal.
24:17All right, you got it.
24:17Sal Capaccio on the Western Hotline.
24:19It's always game day in Buffalo.
24:20Check it out.
24:21Him and Matt Bovee did a show yesterday.
24:23And, yeah, the Zay Flower stats are nuts.
24:27And there are also, like, per route stats that are, like, the best of all time.
24:31Because he's actually not been on the field always because he's managed an injury.
24:36But when he's out there managing it, he's still playing incredible.
24:39Even without Lamar, he's averaging 100 yards per game.
24:42So, he will definitely be somebody that we are focusing on as the week goes on.
24:46How is Brett Favre's record that long?
24:50Allen's 10 years away from it?
24:53Arthur Motes deserves, you know what?
24:55Arthur Motes deserves more credit.
24:57I know we give it to him a lot.
24:59He ended that streak.
25:00He deserves more.
25:02Like, a bust in the Hall of Fame.
25:03Not just the jersey.
25:06How long did it go?
25:091993 to 2010?
25:12All right.
25:12So, 2036.
25:13Well, if Allen might want the record, then that might sound like he's playing until he's 40 years old.
25:19Just saying.
25:20803-0550 is the phone number.
25:23Hallibuck gone.
25:24The Sabres are making everybody nervous.
25:26The Bills are squarely in position to be the one seed.
25:30Tied with the Chiefs.
25:31What else is new?
25:34When we come back, a little more on Baltimore, what happened yesterday.
25:37And on the setting up the week of Allen and Lamar, if Lamar even does play.
25:44You just don't have to lose your mind online.
25:46It's just PSA.
25:51Jeremy and Joe.
25:52Jeremy's off until Wednesday.
25:54Stay tuned.
25:54This is WGR.
