La Lengua es el Castigo del Cuerpo
“The Tongue Is the Punishment of the Body”

In Trey Knowles’ thought-provoking message, “La Lengua es el Castigo del Cuerpo,” he challenges the nations to remember their history, question the influence of colonization, and recognize how language, religion, and cultural identity have been used as instruments of power and control.

Many people speak the language of their colonizers without remembering how that language was imposed upon their ancestors. Spanish spread across much of the Americas through conquest, colonization, and religious conversion. Generations later, people may embrace the language without questioning the suffering, displacement, and loss of ancestral identity that accompanied its arrival.

But do you remember how you became colonized? Do you remember who taught you what to speak, what to believe, and whom to obey?

Consider the Latin inscription:

“Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum”

Meaning: “Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews.” (John 19:19)

These words, commonly represented by the letters INRI, were placed above Yeshua during His crucifixion. They remind us that even the language surrounding His suffering reflected the political authority of the Roman Empire.

Yet Yeshua taught something greater than earthly authority:

Matthew 23:9: “And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven.”

Why, then, do people give spiritual authority to men without questioning whether their teachings reflect the commandments of the Father in heaven?

Trey Knowles raises a powerful question: Have people exchanged their God-given identity for the traditions, languages, and religious systems handed down through earthly rulers?

The tongue can speak truth, but it can also repeat the teachings of oppression. What we say reveals what we have accepted, whom we follow, and whose authority we recognize.

This message is not an attack on people who speak Spanish or any other language. It is a call to examine history, reject spiritual deception, and understand that no empire, religious institution, or earthly ruler can replace the authority of the Most High.

Your language does not determine your salvation. Your nationality does not determine your relationship with God. Your obedience to the Father in heaven is what matters.

“La Lengua es el Castigo del Cuerpo” is a call to awaken, remember, and return to the truth. Do not allow the tongue to become a prison for the body or inherited traditions to become chains upon the spirit.

Remember who your Father is. Remember where your authority comes from. And never allow the voice of an earthly ruler to become greater than the Word of God.

One Father in Heaven. One Truth. One God above all nations
