00:00A race is arranged between Mufasa and Taka. This race will decide whether Mufasa lives or dies.
00:05As soon as the race begins, Obasi cheats by tripping Mufasa. He wants Taka to win.
00:09Because Taka is destined to become king. And in Obasi's eyes, a king must never lose.
00:14But Esh does not agree. She believes that only the one who truly deserves it should become king.
00:19Both cubs run at full speed. The rule is simple. They must touch the tree ahead and return.
00:24When Mufasa sees the water, he freezes with fear. It reminds him of his painful past.
00:28Instead of jumping into the water, Mufasa runs along the cliff and climbs the tree from above.
00:33Taka waits for him there. As Mufasa finally jumps into the water, fear grips him again.
00:37But Taka pushes him out and helps him escape the water. Now both cubs race back toward the pride.
00:42Along the way, Taka tells Mufasa that he has always wanted a brother.
00:46He then allows Mufasa to run ahead. Mufasa wins the race. Obasi cannot accept the result.
00:51But according to the rules, Mufasa is now allowed to live and stay with them.
