00:40the health and deshaun staying healthy for seven games is a substantial uh substantial win for the
00:47browns because he hasn't done that previously but i need him to stay healthy for 12 or 13 weeks before
00:52i really and and continuing the quality of play but mostly it's the health thing if he stays healthy
00:5812 13 weeks that's when all of a sudden i'll start saying all right let's get this under wraps just

01:03we know we have at least one part of this quarterback room solidified for 2027 so it's both areas for

01:08the health is obviously a major thing that's why i wouldn't in this in these convos people i give
01:11them three years give them two you know no no i'm not i'm not giving anything more than one year

01:16telling them don't deal with it if we if we eventually get to that spot uh you you don't i

01:21the market's going to be knocking down the door for deshaun watson i really don't i think you get
01:25to call the shots here at least for one more contract correct but i do think that people are
01:29going to get sticker shock no matter how much it is if it's 35 million dollars the initial reaction
01:34is going to be that's too much if it's 50 million dollars people will be saying that's too much
01:38just because we still have so much history of let's say uh paying deshaun very well and him not
01:46delivering well there is a part of i would imagine the fan base that thinks he should give us some

01:50of discount because of the amount of money that we've already given him and the lack of production
01:53i'm telling you right now deshaun watson does not care about your perceived discount yeah he's going
01:57to want the full freight it's just whether or not another team would be willing to enter those arenas

02:06buffalo preseason game that says he might be uh happy to stay here for the right amount of money
02:12that's not a less amount of money than it was three weeks ago so i've thought about that his
02:16relationship with the fans and how that would impact if almost to be like hey let me give you
02:21the giant middle finger let me get this turned around into a spot where you guys are winners and

02:28you're deshaun don't you have to be convinced that a lot of the reason why you're having success right
02:32now is because of this browns team because of munkin because of the young talent around him
02:37i don't know that has uh that that rings of a self-awareness that i've yet to see from deshaun

05:34i put this all together and we i mentioned this yesterday but in his post game when he was handing
05:38out game balls when todd said uh party at forest house and then he cracked up and deshaun cracked up
05:45there's a part of me that i was laughing too and that's not something there was a lot of deshaun
05:50content that i've kind of taken in and i just haven't allowed myself to feel an emotion one way or
05:55another i still have massive trust issues with deshaun watson and a lot of them now are health
06:01wise but even play wise i have a lot of questions about him but when it comes to the trust

06:07being earned have i earned a modicum of trust in deshaun sure have i've earned more trust in todd
06:13munkin and my trust goes so far as to say if we're another five or six weeks into this and

07:36forward then the conversation becomes much simpler and much easier but if you ask me to do it right now
