00:00Disgraced California politician Eric Swalwell is still under the Fed's microscope after
00:05a series of heinous sexual assault allegations rocked his run for governor and eventually
00:09forced him to resign from his congressional seat, and it appears one of his largest benefactors
00:14is getting caught in the crossfire.
00:16Billionaire Steven Klubeck, who prominently backed Swalwell's run for governor by flooding
00:21his gubernatorial campaign with $1 million, had his Beverly Hills mansion raided early
00:26Tuesday morning.
00:27Video captured by Fox News showed FBI agents rolling up to the mansion's gate.
00:31A Fox 11 chopper also captured agents walking around Klubeck's massive 9,700-square-foot
00:37Beverly Hills estate.
00:39Klubeck reportedly let Swalwell shack up in his Southern California mansion until allegations
00:44surfaced that the former congressman had sexually assaulted multiple women, including former
00:49staffers.
00:50Klubeck changed his mind and reportedly evicted the disgraced politician out of his house.
00:54Swalwell frequently lived and stayed out of Klubeck's Beverly Hills mansion, even filming
01:00his full-throated denial video response to misconduct allegations from inside the home.
01:05A lot has been said about me today through anonymous allegations, and I thought it was important
01:09that you see and hear from me directly.
01:13These allegations of sexual assault are flat false.
01:16They are absolutely false.
01:18They did not happen.
01:19They have never happened.
01:21They have never happened.
01:21And I will fight them with everything that I have.
01:23Back in April, when allegations were swirling, the business tycoon told Fox LA's Matthew Seedorf
01:28that he told Swalwell that he was, quote, disappointed and disgusted.
01:32I've never seen him out with women.
01:36When he stayed here occasionally, he's never brought a woman here.
01:40How's your relationship with Eric?
01:43Are you guys still friends?
01:46Eric who?
01:48Is that clear?
01:49How did your relationship with the two of you end?
01:54Really simple.
01:57I met him with my attorney, and I said, pal, you busted the trust.
02:04You didn't tell the truth.
02:07Three, I'm disappointed and disgusted.
02:09Get the f*** out of here.
02:11Pardon me.
02:11One senior law enforcement official told The Post the raid was connected to a sex worker.
02:16It's unclear what exactly the feds were probing around for, you know, at the mansion,
02:21or if there were any Swalwell-related materials or communications that were left.
02:27There were some agents armed with, you know, night vision goggles, potentially a telltale sign there.
02:32A source did tell us that Klubik did keep his company servers in the home.
02:37Klubik, you know, he's a billionaire.
02:38He owns a private investment, a real estate and hospitality management firm, you know,
02:43primarily kind of overseeing his investments in those sectors.
02:46There was an honesty report that did capture video of agents, you know, making off with, you know,
02:51at least four or more suitcases full of potential evidence.
02:54Klubik, while he now disavows Swalwell, has also had troubles of his own.
02:58The eccentric billionaire was about to marry a penthouse pet accused of stealing from rich sugar daddies before calling it
03:05off.
03:06Klubik was charged with three felony counts of attempting to dissuade or prevent a witness or victim from testifying,
03:11and one misdemeanor count of making annoying phone calls, all in relation to his ex's criminal case.
03:18Swalwell is under investigation by multiple prosecutors for the sexual assault allegations, including in New York and California.
03:25In a dramatic scene back in August, Swalwell was surrounded by FBI agents at San Francisco International Airport,
03:32as he deboarded a plane leading to the seizure of a cell phone and laptop as part of a federal
03:37criminal investigation.
03:39Agents also executed additional warrants the following day at Swalwell's Washington, D.C. home,
03:45where they seized other potential evidence, a source previously told The Post.
03:49What the feds were looking for, we get a glimpse of that through, you know, the FBI warrants that The
03:54Post had access to
03:55when they seized Solwell's phone and laptop at the airport encounter back in August.
04:00In that warrant, it cited a federal civil rights statute that can be used to prosecute government officials who abuse
04:06their government power.
04:06So this statute, specifically Title 18, Section 242, which is known as deprivation of rights under cultural law,
04:12it makes it a crime for, you know, a government official to use the government authority to deprive someone of
04:18rights protected by the Constitution or federal law.
04:20So in this case, how I may apply to Swalwell is that, you know, Swalwell potentially could have used his
04:26position as a congressperson,
04:28as a congressman to try to silence women who were accusing him of sexual misconduct.
04:32Right now, I've got to be the e-mails.
04:32I'll say I will let you in this case.
04:33My name is A Ciccant.
