Senator Chris Van Hollen is calling on the United States to end its complicity in what he describes as the injustice of Israel’s occupation of the West Bank. In a statement posted on October 27, Van Hollen said Israeli settlers and forces are driving more Palestinians from their homes and demanded accountability for the deaths of nine Americans.

His remarks intensify the debate over US policy toward Israel, Palestinian displacement, settler violence, and accountability for American citizens killed in the region. Van Hollen’s statement also raises questions about what steps Washington should take in response.

Watch the latest political news and developments surrounding US-Israel relations, the West Bank, and calls for accountability.
