00:00Could AI hamper students' ability to think deeply when studying?
00:0382% of students globally seem to think so.
00:06This was one of the findings of a survey by tech giant HP,
00:10which included 758 Indian students.
00:13Even though many students use AI to speed up their work
00:16when it comes to learning to retain things,
00:18students prefer printed material or handwritten notes over AI summaries.
00:23However, it's not all doom when it comes to AI.
00:2681% of the surveyed students believe their education is preparing them for future work
00:31and 80% are confident they can use AI effectively.
00:35Creativity, critical thinking, and communication
00:37still emerged as necessary future skills apart from AI.
00:42So if you're using AI for learning,
00:43try writing or solving problems first by yourself
00:46and then ask AI to tell you what you missed or got wrong.
00:49Double-check facts that the chatbot gives you to avoid hallucinations
00:53and never submit anything you don't understand.
00:56Do you prefer learning the old school way or letting AI take over?
