00:06get down with cats. Tessa always thought she was a dog person and had no plans of ever getting a
00:12cat until this happened. I was not even interested in cats. My friend found him in her car engine
00:18and then she texted us and was like you could just foster him for a couple nights. While Tessa did
00:24not know a thing about raising kittens her and her fiance had a big heart for animals. We're so
00:28obsessed with our dog and it's always been the Melons shows but we weren't sure how the integration
00:33would go but from the get she was like really trying to like lick him and nurture him. She really
00:40wanted to mother this cat. While Melons was so ready to be the older sister, Mango was just going to

00:46a little bit more convincing. The first week he was kind of in his fight or flight protective mode.
00:52Melons was just like really patient and would just let him come to her and before we knew
00:58it they were just running around together like always playing and coming in to eat at the same
01:03time. And if you thought the story was going to end there you're wrong. Recently Tessa's fiance actually
01:09rescued a tiny black kitten off the road. He was in way rougher shape than Mango ever was. We just

01:15fed him and took care of him. We started having a lot of fun with Mango and Melons and it
01:20was just
01:20kind of like what's one more cat. And then here we are with Fig who's also really sweet just like
01:25has a more mischievous personality. It's funny how that happens. There's always like a gateway drug
01:30animal. Ever since Mango and Fig have entered the picture it's been so beautiful to watch Melons be
01:39such a maternal dog. It's just been a cool way to bring more love into our family honestly.
