00:08We almost changed her name to Doula because I just felt that she was just such a little nurse.
00:15The story actually begins with my dog, Scotty.
00:20Scotty had been a part of Kaylee's life for almost 18 years.
00:24I knew that if his time was coming to get his angel wings, and I didn't want Sam to be
00:31an only child.
00:34And that's when she brought home Gigi, and at first, Sam really wasn't sure what to make of her.
00:41Sam was confused with what this little creature was.
00:47I do feel that Gigi was able to get a little bit of Scotty's magic.
00:55And in the middle of everyone missing Scotty, Gigi just started doing what she knows best.
01:01She would rub herself against him and cuddle up to him.
01:06And so it was hard for Sam not to fall in love with little Gigi.
01:13And of course, Scotty can never be replaced, but Gigi just gave Sam someone else to love.
01:21When I would take Sam out for his walks, Gigi would get very upset that she was left behind.
01:29So I decided that I would get her a little harness and leash.
01:33Honestly, just her being on leash is already really impressive.
01:36I'm not sure most cats would be okay with this arrangement.
01:44And as, you know, the adventures of Sam and Gigi continued, I thought I would see what would happen if
01:52I took her off leash.
01:53And sure enough, she followed him.
01:59I can't even believe that I'm watching a cat and a dog be off leash and be this well-behaved.
02:04Honestly, I think it just shows the trust that everyone has with each other.
02:13They definitely have a very strong bond.
