00:06the second half ravens lose 35 13 fall to poor and three on the year oh and two in the

00:13back at it this sunday in buffalo we'll get into that as the next couple hours into the next couple
00:19of days all get to us in reality but viddy let's get to that defense what the hell happened yeah
00:26well the first thing that when you look at it like defensively say why were they so good
00:32defensively in the first half bob it reminds me of like uh i want to say 2019 why were the
00:38ravens so
00:39great in the fourth quarter they had the ball for like 12 minutes and that's what happened here
00:45they had the ball 19 plays cincinnati did and what they have 59 yards so they they had an 18
00:53and a
00:5417 play driver 19 and an 18 play drive so they had the ball almost the whole half and the
01:00bangles
01:00dropped a pass on third down which would have been a first down so overall and then in the second
01:05half
01:05um it was just a comedy of errors missed assignments missed tackling i mean we can like and we were
01:16talking to cordell about wiggins wiggins was awful i'm totally disappointed he missed tackles let balls
01:22go over his head didn't play physical he don't play physical at all explain how they don't put
01:29weight you're on chase chase chase lined up uh or wiggins lined up on chase man to man head up
01:39and then doesn't touch him why the hell are you up there you know you're up there and press man
01:46to press get your hands because the easiest thing for a wide receiver i played wide receiver
01:52easiest thing for a wide receiver is free release and he got a free release what i used to hate

02:00i was at iowa state we played oklahoma they get up your face knock the crap out of you i
02:05hated playing
02:06oklahoma because you were always it was never easy getting off the line of scrimmage
02:11and they make it simple and then what happens he backpedals wiggins and then chase runs a quick
02:20slant catches the ball easy you know next one wiggins has a chance to make a tackle misses the
02:26tackle you know he missed a couple tackles lets the ball go over his head he played like crap and
02:31then on the other side i just saw you know uh marlon humphrey on his podcast he says i missed
02:37three big
02:38tackles in that game he said i played bad you know i just want to turn the page you know
02:43so bob that's
02:45your two corners you know with a combined what five missed tackles between just your two corners
02:50but how did he look on film was he appropriate in his self-criticism oh absolutely yeah he was bad

02:57both corners played bad you know when you're playing that's when i mean you got a rise to the occasion
03:04against that team too yes you know i mean yeah and then um malachi starks we didn't see
03:10you know he was and then uh hawkins what wallace played there and jackson played back there and
03:17um i didn't see you know i mean you didn't hear their names and they were well he was he
03:25was 16 of 18 in
03:26the second half for 250 yards so nobody in the secondary was doing yeah was doing much of of anything
03:33you know and trenton simpson really didn't hear his name much but the thing that was extremely
03:39disappointing was you know i guess with hawkins out kyle hamilton played back more which that's
03:48probably um i don't think he does anything bad but that's where you want him last i would think
03:56if i'm the defensive corner i want him close to the line of scrimmage almost playing like a linebacker
04:00where where i can you know where he can affect a lot of things and blitzing and stuff um so
04:06and then
04:07when you i hate when i see kyle hamilton in the secondary just going what looking at looking at malachi
04:14like the hell you know communication and he just even jesse mentioned communication and what does
04:20that do just brings you back to last year with all the miscommunication so that was an issue and then
04:27like in the run stuff bob i mean jenkins he gets high and driven i mean he's got no punch
04:36because we
04:36talk about punch lockout shed he got he catches he and calais they catch when uh because calais doesn't
04:45punch anybody in the run stuff he doesn't punch he catches you know and just wants to kind of hold
04:50on
04:51jenkins he gets knocked back so i mean that doesn't help your linebackers so i probably don't hear you
04:58know they only have eight tackles or seven tackles um i thought uh nam day he competed he got up
05:03in there
05:04he got some pressure and travis jones he he flashed you know and he can take two that kind of
05:10thing
05:11mike green did not we don't have a rusher on the left side that uh that can sniff a quarterback
05:17they can't there is nobody on the left side that even even got close you know except mike green on
05:26a
05:26stunt which was nice um hendrickson he was getting chipped and stuff a lot he got he got two quarterback
05:33hits but in the second half burrow was getting rid of the ball quick and the biggest thing they were
05:39doing was boom he's getting rid of it quick on first down they're getting eight yard they're second and
05:44two they never had a third and long in the second half that's how easy things were for them and
05:50that's
05:51what was so disappointing and um like who who made a play on defense and mike green made a play
05:59you know
06:00he got a sack in the first half guys made plays in the first half you know big hits guys
06:07were you know
06:07uh what wallace made a nice hit in the first half they were getting a lot of pressure a lot
06:13of a lot of
06:14pressure in the first half in the second half who made a play in the second half what was the
06:20key
06:20burrow getting the ball out quicker because they marched right down after struggling to do anything
06:26oh and the first half the bangles right yeah and you know marching to the end zone miss tackles
06:33is one that's one because they would catch it at like five and they'd get eighth
06:38and and it may not be a miss tackle but it wasn't a knock back tackle there was some yards
06:45yeah contact yeah so i mean it was and it didn't seem like in the second half bob they were
06:54playing
06:54with the same enthusiasm excitement and nastiness that they played in the first half they didn't
06:59look as fast in the second half as they did in the first half let's just say that so the
07:05confidence
07:06level was extremely high in the first half especially when your offense and you got the lead and then in
07:11the second half i mean i hate to keep saying it but it it just looks like here we go
07:16again and that
07:17and that's why i think that field goal was so important to take and get the lead going into the
07:22fourth
07:22corner hey it may not have lasted long but who knows if they make if somebody steps up and make
07:27a play when you're ahead boom then all of a sudden you're up you had an answer no yes and
07:32never did
07:32yep and you know that that's what was disappointing about the defense i just the um playmaking you know
07:42i mean just bob mental errors missed tackles and communication on the second half and what and
07:51it keeps happening in the second half well speaking of the second half we're going to break down the
07:55offensive film later in the show and they haven't scored a second half point three weeks so that's not
08:01going to be fun to listen to
