00:00Every member of Los Ingobernables de Japón
00:02is a champion.
00:05Now there is no title at stake here
00:07in this upcoming singles match.
00:09Don, but I think
00:11this is
00:13almost a number one
00:15contenders match, if you will.
00:17Because I think the winner of this one
00:19emerges during the driver's seat
00:21for the next challenger to
00:22whomever is victorious
00:24in our main event here tonight.
00:26Well, Kenny Omega
00:28is not pleased
00:29with the fact that he lost in the opening
00:32round of the New Japan Cup
00:33to Ishii.
00:36But then your point was
00:38Omega was upset that
00:40Ishii didn't go ahead and win the whole thing.
00:44Boy, he feels disrespected.
00:47It's the greatest thing
00:48that ever happened to Ishii in his life
00:50was to catch a pitfall on this man
00:52and he didn't capitalize on it.
01:01No T-shirt tonight for this match.
01:03Oh, it's a big show.
01:06And Omega looks in tremendous shape.
01:08Looks like he's put on
01:09about 10 pounds of upper body size.
01:18The one and only
01:19six-star performer
01:23in professional wrestling history
01:25is Kenny Omega, baby.
01:28There he is.
01:31Go ahead.
01:32Winnipeg, buddy.
01:35Hey, come on.
01:37Yeah, he knows what you're about.
01:38What?
01:39It's a spoon.
01:41One man and out spoof.
01:43That's what we're talking about
01:44when you're not around.
01:44Hey, please feel free.
01:46Go right ahead.
01:49Humble.
01:50What did you do to him?
01:51He's pretty stirred up in his team.
01:56Where's that big spoon?
01:57You're stirring it up.
02:04Listen, the last guy
02:05that sat in your chair,
02:06he left the territory.
02:16We all know why you guys
02:18stayed up tonight.
02:19It's for our match.
02:21Hopefully,
02:22I think you guys
02:23are money's worth.
08:26ou il aurait eu l'air en ma opinion
08:43Ishii's hurt, Kevin
08:47Here we go
08:49Put him in the center of the ring
08:51If he hits this, it is over
08:54Great counter by Ishii and a big forearm
09:01That lariat looked like it caught Omega
09:03Not only in the throat
09:05But also in the side of the head as well
09:17You would think that these men
09:19Had battled each other for 20-30 minutes plus
09:22But it has just been
09:23Oh, it's been 30 minutes
09:25It's been 30 minutes of punishment, Kevin
09:27In about five
09:28Yeah, exactly
09:30And it began with the sound of the bell
09:33With Ishii going after Omega
09:35And they battled outside
09:36They battled inside
09:37And both are now struggling
09:40And they're still struggling to get back to their feet
09:52Ishii connects another
09:54This is not Omega's game here
09:57Don't lower yourself to this violence
10:01Omega needs to stick and move
10:08That hard chop
10:09Backed Ishii up
10:13Can Omega follow up?
10:24Down to a knee
10:27Ishii's beginning to crumble
10:31One more should do the trick
10:33From Kenny Omega
10:34And those chops are brutal
10:37Oh, DDT
10:39Great counter, great counter
10:46Omega has massive hands, Kevin
10:48That's why those chops are so scintillating in the building
10:52And that DDT at the end of the three-chop exchange
10:57Stood Ishii on his head
10:59He might have a broken collarbone
11:01By the way he's holding that area
11:19Yeah
11:19Yeah
11:27I'll say this for Ishii, Kevin
11:30He's brought out a different side of Kenny Omega
11:43And I think Omega is one of those athletes, Don
11:46That he needs to be tested
11:48That when he's in a multi-man tag situation
11:52You're going to see one side of Kenny
11:53But in a situation like this
11:55With the money on the line
11:56You're going to see an entirely different Omega
11:58The true difference maker
12:00Putting Kenny Omega in a multi-man tag
12:03Is like having Wayne Gretzky play beer league hockey
12:06This is the greatest athlete in professional wrestling right now
12:09And he has for sure been tested by the great Ishii
12:25Now the pace is settled to one that Omega likes
12:32Trying to turn Ishii over
12:34Has him in position and hits the neck breaker
12:37Yep
12:40So the focus for Omega since that DDT has been the neck
12:53He's got that arm hooked in
13:14So the pitbull with some of those canine instincts there
13:18The incisor action on the hand of Omega
13:28Here is the cover
13:29And just do one count
13:35Ishii has historically shown a tremendous capacity
13:38To take punishment, Kevin
13:49Laser-like focus from Omega now
13:52On the neck of Ishii
14:03Oh
14:04Oh
14:07Oh
14:09Oh
14:11Good
14:12Kenny backed up against the ropes now
14:19Oh
14:20Yeah
14:23Got him
14:24Drove him headfirst again
14:26Again back to the neck
14:33Il faut qu'il y ait de l'esprit dans le crowd.
14:35C'est un cover avec le leg hook.
14:39Ishii clutching his head.
14:41Man, he's really feeling it right now.
14:44I don't know that I've ever seen Ishii register that kind of discomfort
14:49from anything involving his neck because his neck is so big and strong.
15:06Yeah, this isn't smart.
15:22He's firing up, Kevin, now is the time to grab a hold.
15:29See, this is what I mean.
15:31Omega is sunk to the depths of Ishii with these tactics and
15:35he's playing in Ishii's hands.
15:40Take a powder, take a powder.
15:49Get out of the ring, I'm telling you.
15:53He's in too deep now.
15:55Huge forearm.
16:01There's an answer from Ishii.
16:03Now sends Omega to the buckle.
16:13Power slam.
16:19Almost a throw as well, if you will, as Omega finds himself now
16:24up against the ropes on the far side.
16:31going for the side of the suplex, Kenny sits out, back to the neck.
16:39Ishii still with waist control and delivers.
16:45Leg hook two, Omega kicks out.
17:13You can't get stink.
17:16Watch this now.
17:20Moves off the second rope with the leg hooked and a near fall.
17:40What is Omega thinking about here, Don?
17:44Taking his time, which I believe is a mistake.
17:47Look out.
17:56Ishii leaves his feet to, now to the second rope.
18:02Omega perched on the top.
18:05Does Ishii have enough?
18:06Yes, he does.
18:08One for the brain.
18:10Oh, I thought he was trying to hook the brain buster off the top.
18:13He didn't get enough of it.
18:14Two.
18:15Almost got the win anyway.
18:18Vertical suplex from the top turnbuckle.
18:21And now Ishii's feeling it.
18:23He's back in the fight.
18:27Oh.
18:33Snap Frankensteiner.
18:34And out goes Ishii.
18:37Omega is so explosive athletically, he can hit moves like that out of nowhere.
18:48Just sent Ishii over the rail into the people.
18:54Ishii hit the railing and his own momentum carried him over.
18:59And that's going to mean Ishii is going to have to cover some distance to get back in the rain.
19:11Wait a minute.
19:12Wait a minute.
19:13Wait a minute.
19:13My God.
19:16Phenomenal cross body with about 20 feet.
19:23Take another look.
19:28And Ishii looked like he hit the back of his head on the cement.
19:33And Omega crashed, hip first, on the concrete.
19:39Damn near overshot him.
19:40Almost, almost completely missed Ishii.
19:43This is the downside of being the greatest athlete in professional wrestling.
19:49So now instead of making Ishii work, it's a little bit hard to get back in the ring.
20:01And we're already at 15.
20:04It's going to be hard for Ishii to break the count.
20:09And he does with a couple of seconds to spare, which is remarkable.
20:15This is now turned into Kenny Omega's style of match.
20:19We opened up.
20:20We're working Ishii style.
20:22Now it's reversed.
20:29Missile drop kick to the back of the head.
20:32Shades of the Tokyo Dome.
20:36Set up power ball.
20:37Is it over?
20:39Oh!
20:40No, it's not.
20:41It's not over.
20:48Omega hit the sit-out power bomb, Don.
20:50And as the referee counted one and two, he got the right leg over Ishii's arm.
20:55And I thought that would have been enough, but Ishii still had enough to kick out.
21:07Here we go.
21:10Watch the explosion when he starts moving.
21:13Here we go.
21:16Ishii!
21:16Ishii!
21:17Ishii!
21:17Out of the way.
21:19Look at Omega.
21:20He lands on his feet.
21:21Remarkable!
21:21Snap German suplex.
21:25Snap German suplex.
21:25Ishii's moving.
21:26Whoa!
21:27That'll be it.
21:28And two!
21:30Wow!
21:31Ishii kicked out just that close.
21:38And Omega cannot believe that he kicked out.
21:41Signaling for One-Wing Angel.
21:44Signaling for One-Wing Angel.
21:44Can he get him up?
21:46Can he get him up?
21:51Desperate now to put Ishii away.
21:54Up on his shoulders.
21:56One-Wing Angel, no.
21:58Great counter.
22:00Countered the attempt of the vertical drop.
22:02Brain Buster.
22:03Super kick there from Omega.
22:05Clear it!
22:07Five minutes down!
22:15What a match!
22:20There is not a title at stake.
22:22But this battle between Omega and Ishii is as good as any other championship match you'll ever see in New
22:28Japan Pro Wrestling.
22:29It's personal, Kevin.
22:30It's personal.
22:47Ishii got too close to Omega.
22:54One more no.
22:55Block.
22:57Caught him right on the outside of that elbow.
22:59Yeah!
23:00Oh, he's caught.
23:02Whoa!
23:06Here we go!
23:09Blaret!
23:10Blaret!
23:11Center of the ring!
23:13To it!
23:14Oh!
23:15So close!
23:24Runa was right there.
23:26It was definitely two.
23:27Just that close.
23:28Just that close.
23:29Just that close.
23:29Wow.
23:31Unbelievable.
23:31Unbelievable.
23:33Just what it looked like.
23:34Omega was in the driver's seat.
23:36Now it's Tomohiro Ishii.
23:38What is Ishii doing?
23:39He is gonna beat Omega with his own move.
23:42One more!
23:51Two more!
23:53One more!
23:58Okay.
23:59And two more!
24:01One more!
24:04Two more!
24:05Two more!
24:05Two more!
24:06Now it's like a spring,
24:08the other one.
24:08Two more!
24:09Two more!
24:11Vous pouvez le faire.
24:12Ils sont derrière Ishii.
24:14All the way.
24:16On va pour le Brain Buster.
24:17Oui, on va pour le Brain Buster.
24:20Oh !
24:21Oh !
24:22Reverse Rana !
24:23Reverse Rana !
24:24Right on the injured neck of Ishii.
24:45What a counter by Kenny Omega.
25:02Now to be careful not to get too close to Ishii in that headbutt.
25:08Went for it again.
25:13Oh, Ishii follows him.
25:17Omega follows Ishii.
25:19He's got all of it.
25:27An Hilarion of the time.
25:29What a Hilarion.
25:30What a Hilarion.
25:32No.
25:32No.
25:34That was three.
25:36That was three.
25:37That was two.
25:39And now he's gonna . . .
25:45Oh !
25:462K1 bomb on the knee.
25:48Right back to that injured neck, Kevin.
25:55Red Shoes was slow with that last time.
25:58Oh, come on.
25:58He was slow.
26:05Well, it may not matter.
26:07V Trigger drills him.
26:09He caught him.
26:11He caught him.
26:12He caught him.
26:12He's setting him up.
26:13If he hits this, it's over.
26:15Ishii knows it, too.
26:16Oh !
26:20Who knew that he could pull that out?
26:25My God !
26:28Oh !
26:29Turned him inside out with a clothesline.
26:32One !
26:32Two !
26:33No !
26:35Again !
26:36Omega kicks out again !
26:40And the fans are witnessing maybe the greatest match of 2017, and that's saying something.
26:50Wow !
26:53And I can't believe Ishii is even up !
26:56My God !
27:01What's it gonna take for either Ishii or Omega to claim victory ?
27:17And they're back toe-to-toe.
27:20It's Omega with three, looking to make it four.
27:24Oh ! Open hand !
27:28This is playing Ishii's game.
27:30I still don't like this strategy, Kevin.
27:37Combination, Omega trying to cover up.
27:41Caught him, right under the chin !
27:42Oh !
27:43Right under the chin !
27:44Dropped him !
27:45Here we go, Braid Buster !
27:49Braid Buster !
27:50Watch it !
27:51He's gonna do it here !
27:53No, he's not gonna do it here !
27:56I believe that was a three-down, Kevin.
27:58I believe that was a three-
28:00Here we go, here we go, he's got him !
28:02One win !
28:04Angel !
28:05He has done it !
28:07Yes !
28:09Yes !
28:10Yes !
28:10He's gonna do it !
28:11I think he's gonna do it !
28:13I think he's gonna do it !
28:14My God, what a match !
28:29He almost lost him on the one-wing Angel, but corrected mid-air and dropped him right on his head
28:36!
28:37Wow !
28:49That, Kevin, might be the best match I've seen since the Tokyo Dome match !
28:54Wow !
28:55Omega !
29:02What a phenomenal talent !
29:07And you can't say enough good things about Ishii, but it's Omega that's victorious !
29:16Ishii did everything, and then some !
29:20Multiple times, it looked like victory was his !
29:24But Omega was able to escape !
29:27Time after time !
29:29And was finally able to put Tomohiro Ishii away !
29:33With the one-winged Angel !
29:37What a statement from Omega !
29:39Not only winning the match, but playing Ishii's game for the first half and surviving !
29:59And Kevin, for those that were wondering, Kenny Omega's back !
30:09Well, the first three or four minutes of that match were all Ishii !
30:15And it looked like it was going to be a rout !
30:19Look at Ishii !
30:22Refusing help !
30:26He will walk to the back under his own power, with no assistance from anybody !
30:33That is a very, very tough, very, very capable man right there !
30:39He will pull himself up and crawl if he has to !
30:43Maybe the best performance I've ever seen from Ishii !
30:46Unfortunately for him, he ran into the world's greatest wrestler, Kenny Omega tonight !
30:54Yeah, Ishii's not one of those guys that gets wrapped up in performance !
30:58He's a results-oriented man !
31:01And the results of this are clear !
31:03Omega victorious !
31:05But dammit !
31:06That was one hell of a match !
31:08What do we do !
31:12Huh !
31:12Yeah !
31:12Whoo !
31:14Thou !
31:15Thou !
31:16Thou !
