Transcript

00:00:03No, no.

00:00:09Well, she's let us all down again.

00:00:11Wolfless as ever.

00:00:13Cut her down.

00:00:14Don't look at me like that, Violet.

00:00:16It's all for your own good.

00:00:18For my own good?

00:00:20Look me in the eye, Caden.

00:00:22This isn't a trial.

00:00:24This is bullying.

00:00:25This is abuse.

00:00:30Violet, don't be so sensitive.

00:00:32We've got to force you to train or you'd never last.

00:00:35You're too weak to earn a place in this pack.

00:00:37Veronica's right.

00:00:38These trials are training.

00:00:40Every one of them is for your own good.

00:00:42Training?

00:00:43Torturing me is your idea of help?

00:00:46Seventeen years, Caden.

00:00:48Seventeen!

00:00:49We grew up together.

00:00:51You're my fated mate.

00:00:53And now you'd rather be their accomplice?

00:00:56Did I go too far?

00:01:01You're the true alpha-to-be of Crimson Moon, Caden.

00:01:04You can't go soft over a wolfless girl.

00:01:07If word gets out, what will the other packs think of you?

00:01:11Of us?

00:01:13Enough, Violet.

00:01:14You're a weakling without a wolf.

00:01:18Weaklings don't get to make noise.

00:01:20Want dignity?

00:01:22Go win it back.

00:01:23Don't stand here snivering.

00:01:25I've lost count of how many times they've done this.

00:01:28They call it building character.

00:01:32Too slow, Violet.

00:01:33You can't even dodge that.

00:01:34Your reflexes are pathetic.

00:01:37This is about training your instinct.

00:01:39Now I finally get it.

00:01:40He saw my pain.

00:01:42He just didn't care.

00:01:48When someone has nothing left to lose, she's finally been set free.

00:01:54Caden.

00:01:56What now?

00:01:58If having no wolf makes me this disgusting to you, I'll go.

00:02:04You're all bluff.

00:02:06Leave Crimson Moon?

00:02:07Leave me?

00:02:08Where would a wolfless reject like you go?

00:02:11I used to think Caden was a part of me I could never lose.

00:02:15But when it starts to rot, you have to cut it away.

00:02:20It hurts.

00:02:22But at least this time, I hold the knife.

00:02:26Violet, where are you going?

00:02:27Caden.

00:02:28You're the future alpha.

00:02:31Stop indulging her tantrums.

00:02:33Let her spend the night in the woods.

00:02:35The freezing cold will teach her to behave by morning.

00:02:59Mrs. Imogen, it's me.

00:03:01Violet, sweetheart, what happened?

00:03:04Your invitation to join Nightshade Pack?

00:03:07Is that still good?

00:03:09I've decided.

00:03:11I'm breaking my mate bond with Caden.

00:03:15I'm leaving this pack for good.

00:03:18I thought he was the moon godness's finest gift to me.

00:03:22But then a year ago, father brought his illegitimate daughter home.

00:03:25My stepsister, Veronica.

00:03:27Caden was drawn to Veronica's strength.

00:03:29Pure wolf instinct.

00:03:30Ever since, he's looked at me, the wolfless one, differently.

00:03:34Went from disappointment to pure ice.

00:03:36Keep her close and she becomes your weakness.

00:03:38If you really want to help her, put her through the harshest trials possible.

00:03:44Violet, pick up.

00:03:46Stop sulking.

00:03:46Fine.

00:03:47Yesterday's trial went a little far.

00:03:48I brought your favorite strawberry cake compensation.

00:03:51I'll be downstairs in 10 minutes to take you to school.

00:03:53Be a good girl.

00:03:54No more tantrums.

00:03:5617 years of devotion.

00:03:58My dignity.

00:03:59The hair.

00:03:59My connection to my mother.

00:04:01All of it.

00:04:02Destroyed.

00:04:03Even now, he thinks it's just a tantrum.

00:04:07Look at you.

00:04:09Ridiculous.

00:04:10Hideous.

00:04:11What the hell did you do to your hair?

00:04:13You're a disgrace to the black name.

00:04:16I didn't do this to my hair.

00:04:18Veronica hacked it off herself.

00:04:19Caden helped, you know.

00:04:20Held me down while she cut.

00:04:21They tied me to a tree like a clown for two hours.

00:04:24They're bullying me.

00:04:25Nonsense.

00:04:26Bullying?

00:04:26Caden told me it was training to unlock your potential.

00:04:29It wouldn't be happening if you had a wolf.

00:04:30Father, I can't take any more of these trials.

00:04:32I want to leave the academy, please.

00:04:35Leave the academy?

00:04:37What nonsense is this, Violet?

00:04:42Veronica, good timing.

00:04:43Were you really bullying Violet last night?

00:04:45Oh, God, Violet.

00:04:46How could you lie about me and Caden like that?

00:04:48And to Dad?

00:04:49Exactly, Logan.

00:04:50Don't listen to a word of Violet's nonsense.

00:04:52Veronica and Caden were only trying to wake her wolf.

00:04:54Now Violet's acting ungrateful and calling it bullying?

00:04:57Jealous that father spoils me sometimes, Violet?

00:04:59Is that why you hurt yourself?

00:05:00You even cut your own hair just for attention.

00:05:02If you can't stand me, just say so.

00:05:04Yell at me if you want.

00:05:05You don't have to do this to yourself.

00:05:06Violet Black, you lying, ungrateful girl.

00:05:09Your stepmother and Veronica care so much about you.

00:05:11You're lying about your own sister?

00:05:13I'm lying about her?

00:05:14Look at me, father.

00:05:15You'd rather believe a bastard's tears than see your own daughter's scars.

00:05:17Shut up!

00:05:18Veronica is the finest, most obedient daughter in this house.

00:05:21Look at yourself.

00:05:21Seventeen and no wolf.

00:05:23Worse of all, it made you a bitter, lying brat.

00:05:25You're nothing compared to her.

00:05:26Obedient?

00:05:27My mother held your hand on her deathbed, father.

00:05:29She had you swear you'd take care of me.

00:05:30Did you look her in the eyes when you lied?

00:05:32You think you've kept your word to her?

00:05:34How dare you talk back to me, you ungrateful child?

00:05:38Stop!

00:05:40Beta Logan, don't.

00:05:42Last night was a misunderstanding.

00:05:44Violet was spooked by what happened.

00:05:45I'll take her to school and sort it out today.

00:05:47I'm letting this slide because Caden's speaking up for you.

00:05:50Don't embarrass me again.

00:05:52Come with me, Violet.

00:05:53We need to talk.

00:05:54This is my family.

00:05:55This is my mate.

00:05:57Nobody cares about the truth.

00:05:59Nobody protects me.

00:06:00It doesn't matter.

00:06:01Today I leave this hell forever.

00:06:08Fine.

00:06:09I admit it, Violet.

00:06:11Last night, things went too far.

00:06:12But it was for your own good.

00:06:13You're my future Luna.

00:06:14If you can't handle a little pressure, how will you rule Crimson Moon Pack with me?

00:06:17And what if it didn't work?

00:06:18If they left me crippled for life?

00:06:20What if I died, Caden?

00:06:22Don't be dramatic.

00:06:22That wouldn't kill anyone.

00:06:23It was training.

00:06:24Veronica and I just want to awaken your wolf.

00:06:26If you had a wolf, you'd never have gotten hurt anyways.

00:06:28That's the real problem here.

00:06:29You're weak.

00:06:30You're not Luna material.

00:06:31Weak.

00:06:32No wolf.

00:06:33Every word out of his mouth is about how I'm not enough.

00:06:35I sacrificed my health to save his life.

00:06:37I know.

00:06:38I know you saved me and it wrecked your health.

00:06:40That's exactly why I'm doing whatever it takes to bring out your wolf.

00:06:42Don't you get it?

00:06:44If you were strong and sensible like Veronica, none of this would have happened.

00:06:48So that's all it is.

00:06:49You think I'm weak.

00:06:50You think I'm not fit to be your Luna.

00:06:52All right then.

00:06:53I, Violet Black, reject you, Caden Cross, as my fated mate.

00:06:57Have you lost your mind?

00:06:58Now you're resorting to a rejection, Violet?

00:07:00Without me, you'd never even survive.

00:07:03Enough.

00:07:04You're upset.

00:07:04You're sulking.

00:07:05I get it.

00:07:05Last night was too rough for you.

00:07:07Can't you just take it as a joke?

00:07:08What's the big deal?

00:07:08A joke?

00:07:10My dignity?

00:07:11My hair?

00:07:12The last connection to my mother?

00:07:14It's all just a joke to you?

00:07:15Stop guilt-trapping me.

00:07:17Get in the car.

00:07:17We're going to school.

00:07:19Whatever this is, we settle it there.

00:07:21Oh, Violet.

00:07:22How can you be so childish?

00:07:24Talking back to the future alpha like that.

00:07:26So disrespectful.

00:07:28Caden, I don't know what's wrong with me today.

00:07:31I'm so dizzy.

00:07:32I feel awful.

00:07:33Can I ride to school in your car?

00:07:35Of course, Veronica.

00:07:37Take the back seat, Violet.

00:07:44Violet, the passenger seat in my car is your throne.

00:07:47Got it?

00:07:47You're the only one who'll ever ride with me.

00:07:49Nobody else.

00:07:51What's going on?

00:07:52Is Violet throwing a fit over last night?

00:07:54How dare she?

00:07:55Caden spoils her way too much.

00:07:57Where's the future Alphys' dignity?

00:08:00I'm not sitting in the back.

00:08:08I'm done with your tantrums.

00:08:10Quit sulking.

00:08:11Violet, I don't have time to pamper you.

00:08:12Fix your attitude.

00:08:13Before then, you're not riding in my car.

00:08:15Veronica, get in.

00:08:18There is no more time left for us.

00:08:20Caden.

00:08:23We'll never ride to school together again.

00:08:25Never again.

00:08:30Violet, sweetie, everything's set.

00:08:32The nightshade pack car is already on its way to you.

00:08:34Someone will handle the transfer paperwork with your school directly.

00:08:38Thank you, Miss Imogene.

00:08:39I'm ready.

00:08:42Look at our Luna-to-be!

00:08:44What are you hiding under that hood?

00:08:45The hell is that on your head?

00:08:46A bird's nest?

00:08:50Caden, look.

00:08:51I got another A in close combat this week.

00:08:53Coach says my power beats half the boys.

00:08:56Not bad, Veronica.

00:08:58A body like that is what a pack's Luna needs.

00:09:01Pack tradition is clear.

00:09:02To take the alpha seat, my fated mate must stand beside me as Luna, but Violet is far

00:09:06too weak.

00:09:07She doesn't even have a wolf.

00:09:08She can't carry Luna's weight.

00:09:10Then force her to break the mate bond, Caden.

00:09:12Once the mate bond is gone, she can't drag you down.

00:09:15No more guilt trips.

00:09:17Break the mate bond?

00:09:18Exactly.

00:09:19After all those trials, she's totally close to breaking.

00:09:22Violet's a weakling.

00:09:23She'll never wake her wolf.

00:09:24Let her break.

00:09:25She'll give up.

00:09:26Then you're free.

00:09:27So that is the truth behind every trial.

00:09:30Caden, you weren't hoping for me to wake my wolf.

00:09:32You were waiting for me to break.

00:09:33The perfect setup.

00:09:35An excuse to get rid of me.

00:09:36Your burden.

00:09:38You'll get exactly what you want.

00:09:40Soon.

00:09:43Caden?

00:09:43Violet's weak.

00:09:45She's a headache, sure.

00:09:46But I will never go against the Moon Goddess plans.

00:09:48The Moon Goddess gave her to me.

00:09:50She's mine.

00:09:51What happens between us is nobody else's business.

00:09:54Don't ever mention breaking the mate bond in front of me again.

00:09:58Violet.

00:09:59Nightshade's transfer papers hit my desk last night.

00:10:01They were marked urgent.

00:10:02The wording was blunt.

00:10:04Withdrawing and transferring is a big deal.

00:10:05Does Beta Logan know?

00:10:06And Caden, your fated mate, the future Alpha, does he know?

00:10:09Look at yourself.

00:10:10Seventeen years old and still no wolf.

00:10:12And that nasty, bitter attitude.

00:10:14You're nothing compared to Veronica, and you'll never be.

00:10:17Enough, Violet.

00:10:18You're a weakling with no wolf.

00:10:20That's on you.

00:10:21In our world, weaklings don't get to talk back.

00:10:23In this house, in this pack, nobody ever cared whether I lived or died.

00:10:27To them, leaving will just mean their dead weight is finally gone.

00:10:30It doesn't matter.

00:10:31With Nightshade's papers, I don't need their permission.

00:10:34Right?

00:10:36Thank you, Headmaster.

00:10:37And please, keep this quiet.

00:10:42You actually showed up at school, Violet?

00:10:44Last night should have opened your eyes to the truth.

00:10:47I'm Dad's favorite daughter.

00:10:48I'm the one Caden really wants.

00:10:49Everything you once had, it's mine now.

00:10:51When are you getting the hell out of this pack, runt?

00:10:53You can take everything I have.

00:10:55But there's one thing you'll never change, Veronica.

00:10:57What?

00:10:58The Moon Goddess gave Caden and me a faded mate bond.

00:11:01One of a kind.

00:11:02And you?

00:11:02Scheme all you want.

00:11:03Take him however you can.

00:11:04You'd still be nothing but a lowly chosen mate.

00:11:06The Moon Goddess will never recognize you.

00:11:09You're the backup.

00:11:10Nothing more.

00:11:11Shut your mouth!

00:11:12You don't even have a wolf spirit, you piece of trash!

00:11:17The annual Realm-wide werewolf trials begin soon.

00:11:21Crimson Moon Pack will send its very best.

00:11:23Today is the pair riding selection.

00:11:25I was a frail kid.

00:11:27Always bad at everything.

00:11:28Then Mom taught me to ride and I finally had something I loved.

00:11:31Every year after, Caden and I rode the pair event together.

00:11:34I've decided to leave, but I came anyway.

00:11:36One last look at those horses.

00:11:38You're still hurt, Violet.

00:11:40Can you even ride today?

00:11:43Caden, Violet just had that trial last night.

00:11:46Look at her, still bruised.

00:11:47She can barely stand.

00:11:48You can't put her on a horse.

00:11:49She'll get hurt or worse, drag your score down.

00:11:51Gosh, we can't let that happen to the Alpha-to-B.

00:11:53Ride with me today, Caden.

00:11:54But it's always been Violet and me.

00:11:56Just this once.

00:11:57Violet's so weak right now.

00:11:58You don't want her humiliating herself in public again, do you?

00:12:01Fine.

00:12:01You're hurt, Violet.

00:12:02Sit this one out.

00:12:03Veronica rides with me today.

00:12:05We raised this horse together.

00:12:06It was always you and me.

00:12:08Don't look at me like that.

00:12:09If you weren't so weak, Veronica would never get the chance to replace you.

00:12:13Look, I know this matters to you.

00:12:15Next time we ride together.

00:12:16I promise.

00:12:17Now move.

00:12:23Next time?

00:12:24There is no next time for us, Caden.

00:12:27Not ever.

00:12:31Remember this, Violet.

00:12:33This saddle.

00:12:34These arms.

00:12:36They're yours alone.

00:12:38Forever.

00:12:39No one else in this world gets to sit here.

00:12:41Only you.

00:12:43Now it just looks like a joke.

00:12:48I hereby declare the winners of today's hair riding, Caden and Veronica.

00:13:01Something feels off.

00:13:02I don't know why.

00:13:03Take the horse back to the stable, Caden.

00:13:06Violet looks so lonely over there.

00:13:08I'll go comfort her.

00:13:10We don't want her getting the wrong idea about us.

00:13:14Go ahead, Veronica.

00:13:15You're always so kind.

00:13:24Violet!

00:13:25Why did you push me?

00:13:28I know you're upset from watching me ride with Caden.

00:13:32I told you it wasn't personal.

00:13:34You can't just attack me because you're jealous.

00:13:39Violet Black.

00:13:40What the hell is wrong with you?

00:13:46Look at yourself.

00:13:48Attacking your own sister?

00:13:50You're so jealous it's turning you into a monster.

00:13:53What part of you deserves to be Luna of Crimson Moon?

00:13:58I don't deserve it.

00:14:00And you do, Caden Cross?

00:14:02You call me your fated mate.

00:14:04Then what were you doing with her on that horse?

00:14:06You betrayed me.

00:14:08You cheated.

00:14:09A cold, selfish bastard like you doesn't deserve a fated mate from the Moon God.

00:14:14What the hell are you talking about?

00:14:19Don't cry, Violet.

00:14:21They had no right to laugh at you for having no mother.

00:14:26These hands are here to protect you.

00:14:28A few cuts are nothing.

00:14:30He said his hands were there to protect me.

00:14:33Today, he used them to strike my face.

00:14:39Whatever we had, whatever I once felt for him, is gone.

00:14:43You killed it, Caden.

00:14:44We'll never go back.

00:14:46God.

00:14:47What did I do?

00:14:52All of this torture ends soon.

00:15:01Violet, sweetheart.

00:15:03We'll be at the Crimson Moon border in two hours to get you.

00:15:08Mrs. Imogene!

00:15:12Darling, I've got the grandest bedroom in the house ready for you.

00:15:16Nothing but the best for my best friend's daughter.

00:15:18A whole new wardrobe and your favorite flowers.

00:15:25Oh, and do you remember my son, Sebastian?

00:15:27You two played together as children.

00:15:29He was thrilled when he heard.

00:15:31He cut his business trip short just to come get you.

00:15:34He might even beat me there.

00:15:35And between us, he's far better looking than that old fated mate of yours.

00:15:44Thank you, Luna Imogen.

00:15:45I can't wait for my new life at Nightshade Pack.

00:15:48Leaving might be the right thing, I'm sure now.

00:15:49I'm not looking back.

00:15:55Leaving?

00:15:57What are you talking about, Violet?

00:15:59Where do you think you're going?

00:16:07What did you just say?

00:16:09Is it true?

00:16:10You're leaving?

00:16:13You heard wrong.

00:16:14I didn't say anything.

00:16:15I knew it.

00:16:17Drop the stupid jokes, Violet.

00:16:19Leave Crimson Moon Pack.

00:16:20Leave me and you'd be helpless.

00:16:21Where would a wolfless weakling go?

00:16:23What pack would ever take you in?

00:16:26Look, hitting you is wrong of me.

00:16:28But can you stop with the tantrums?

00:16:30Nothing happened between Veronica and me.

00:16:31I picked her at the field for one reason.

00:16:33You got hurt last night.

00:16:34You were too weak to ride.

00:16:35I did that to protect you.

00:16:36Nothing happened?

00:16:37You know, Caden, I don't even care anymore.

00:16:40Training partners, riding partners, even Luna of Crimson Moon.

00:16:42Pick Veronica for all of it.

00:16:44I'm done.

00:16:45Violet, how long are you going to keep this up?

00:16:47You're still sulking about the trials, aren't you?

00:16:49We've been over this.

00:16:50You need to grow.

00:16:50You need your wolf.

00:16:51I'm just trying to make you stronger.

00:16:53Why don't you see I'm doing it all for you?

00:16:55To make me stronger?

00:16:57You stomped all over my dignity and public, Caden Cross.

00:17:00You hacked my hair to pieces.

00:17:01Was that to make me stronger?

00:17:03Or to prove your loyalty to Veronica?

00:17:05What the hell is that supposed to mean?

00:17:07Don't think I can't see your angle?

00:17:08The Alpha has several sons.

00:17:10Your claim isn't safe.

00:17:11And Veronica is Bait Logan's favorite daughter.

00:17:14With her at your side, you think that seed is yours.

00:17:17You keep saying it's for my own good.

00:17:19You did all this to make Veronica happy.

00:17:22You've lost your mind.

00:17:23Don't judge me with your bitter, twisted bullshit.

00:17:25I don't need any woman's help.

00:17:26Am I lying?

00:17:27You know, deep down, what the truth is.

00:17:32Be strong, Violet.

00:17:33Your new life is right ahead.

00:17:41Is Violet still upset about earlier, Caden?

00:17:43Girls are sensitive.

00:17:44She's just jealous over you.

00:17:46Ignore her.

00:17:47Let her sulk.

00:17:48Honestly, there's one sure way to make a girl fall in line.

00:17:51Make her jealous.

00:17:53The sweeter you are to me, the more threatened she feels.

00:17:55Give it a little while.

00:17:56She'll come running back in tears, begging you to forgive her.

00:18:00Jealous?

00:18:01Oh my god, Caden really did dump Violet.

00:18:04He should have done it ages ago.

00:18:06That wolf-less loser was totally dragging him down.

00:18:10Exactly.

00:18:11Violet was never good enough for Caden.

00:18:13Veronica is perfect for him.

00:18:1617 years.

00:18:17We grew up side by side.

00:18:20Turns out I never knew him at all.

00:18:22Let's end it here, Caden.

00:18:28You said she'd come apologize and make peace?

00:18:31It's not working at all.

00:18:33Wow, Caden, she's got a bigger temper than I thought.

00:18:36Absolutely no respect.

00:18:38Everyone's right, you know?

00:18:40Why haven't you rejected her yet?

00:18:42Know your place, Veronica.

00:18:44Don't ever let me hear that again.

00:18:48Damn it.

00:18:49Caden's heart still belongs to that vile bitch.

00:18:51Violet, he won't let you go.

00:18:53I'll destroy you myself.

00:18:59Violet Black, cute act, back at the lockers.

00:19:02Who was it for?

00:19:03You think playing hard to get will make Caden come after you?

00:19:05Please.

00:19:06You saw it.

00:19:06His arms were around me.

00:19:07I'm not interested in someone as cold and selfish as Caden Cross.

00:19:10If you're so obsessed with picking up my leftovers, you can have him.

00:19:14My gift to you.

00:19:15You dare talk to me like that?

00:19:17Who the hell do you think you are, Violet?

00:19:20Violet Black, I'm going to turn Caden against you once and for all.

00:19:24I know you blame me for stealing your moment at the arena.

00:19:26That doesn't mean you can shove me into a wall.

00:19:29Moon Goddess, I saw it myself.

00:19:30Violet shoved Veronica straight into the wall.

00:19:32That's vicious.

00:19:33She's so jealous she almost killed her own sister.

00:19:35She's not just wolf-less trash.

00:19:36She's a poisonous bitch.

00:19:40Violet Black, what did you just do?

00:19:43You're insane!

00:19:44It wasn't me.

00:19:45She threw herself into the wall.

00:19:47Enough!

00:19:48Sulking because you were upset is one thing.

00:19:50I never thought you were cruel.

00:19:51You pushed her.

00:19:53We all saw it.

00:19:54Now you're trying to pin the blame on her?

00:19:55What's wrong with you?

00:19:57I told you it wasn't me.

00:19:58Still no remorse.

00:19:59You've disappointed me.

00:20:01I can't have a mate with a heart this poisonous.

00:20:03Apologize to Veronica and earn her forgiveness.

00:20:05Do it now, or I reject you in front of everyone.

00:20:09Moon Goddess, Violet has no wolf.

00:20:12A rejection would kill her.

00:20:14Caden is really angry this time.

00:20:16Violet is nothing without Caden.

00:20:17If she wants to survive here, she'll be on her knees begging any second.

00:20:22Seventeen years we've known each other.

00:20:24All that time.

00:20:26And it never earned me a shred of your trust.

00:20:28You want to reject me?

00:20:30Then have it your way, Caden Cross.

00:20:34What are you saying?

00:20:36I, Violet Black, hereby reject Caden Cross as my feinted mate.

00:20:44Are you insane?

00:20:45You're actually going to break our mate bond?

00:20:47This is what you always wanted.

00:20:48Drop the dead weight.

00:20:49Go be with your precious bitch.

00:20:50Oh, a selfish alpha and a scheming spiteful Luna.

00:20:53You're a perfect match.

00:20:54You'll never change.

00:20:55Fine.

00:20:55I, Caden Cross, accept your rejection.

00:20:59Seventeen years?

00:21:00It's over, Caden.

00:21:01The good memories you gave me, the humiliation, the wounds, all of it, good and bad, ends right now.

00:21:08Starting now, we are nothing to each other.

00:21:11Where are you going, Violet?

00:21:12Stop right there!

00:21:15If I'd embarrass myself like that, I'd crawl into a hole.

00:21:18What a joke.

00:21:19That wolf-less loser had the nerve to reject Caden in public?

00:21:22Look at her now.

00:21:24Serves her right.

00:21:25All of you, shut up!

00:21:27It hurts.

00:21:28My head is spinning.

00:21:29Violet pushed me.

00:21:29I think I have a concussion.

00:21:30Take me to a doctor first, Caden.

00:21:32I can't hold on much longer.

00:21:33Exactly.

00:21:34Violet shoved her into a wall.

00:21:35Veronica is hurt badly.

00:21:36She should go to the hospital first.

00:21:38Right.

00:21:38Violet's got to learn her lesson.

00:21:40Forget her.

00:21:40Hey, maybe the pain will even awaken her wolf.

00:21:45Violet!

00:21:46Lift your head.

00:21:47Apologize to Veronica.

00:21:48Admit everything you did today, and I'll carry you to the healer myself.

00:21:52I might even take it all back and restore our mate bond.

00:21:54Me.

00:21:55Apologize to her.

00:21:57Give me a thousand lifetimes, and the answer is still no.

00:22:00Fine.

00:22:00Just perfect.

00:22:02I gave you the chance.

00:22:03This is all on you now.

00:22:03If you won't change, Violet, I will never repair our mate bond.

00:22:07You'll spend your life a rejected, worthless nobody.

00:22:12So this is my last look at you.

00:22:14Leaving with another girl in your arms.

00:22:16It doesn't matter now.

00:22:17None of it does.

00:22:19Because I'm leaving you for good, Caden.

00:22:22Don't be so upset, Caden.

00:22:24You spoiled Violet, that's all.

00:22:26She acts out because she thinks you can't live without her.

00:22:30Let her lie at the bottom of those stairs a while.

00:22:32Then she'll learn who really rules this pack.

00:22:34Why is my chest so hallow?

00:22:36Why does it feel like I'm losing Violet forever?

00:22:38No.

00:22:38Something is wrong here.

00:22:39I'll drop Veronica at the infirmary.

00:22:41Then I'm going straight back for her.

00:22:43Violet's locker is empty.

00:22:45Why is it empty?

00:22:50Why is Violet's locker empty?

00:22:51Did she drop out of the academy?

00:22:53Young Master Caden, you didn't know?

00:22:56Violet finished all her transfer paperwork.

00:22:58She hasn't just left the academy.

00:23:00She's left Crimson Moon Pack completely.

00:23:04Transferred out of the pack?

00:23:07That's impossible.

00:23:08No!

00:23:16I used to think I'd die without Caden.

00:23:19Then he became the one who hurt me the most.

00:23:22I thought leaving would be hard.

00:23:24It was just a few steps to the school gate.

00:23:26I did it.

00:23:49Sweet Moon Goddess.

00:23:50That's Nightshade Pack's own motorcade.

00:23:52Richest.

00:23:53Strongest pack in the realm.

00:23:54Why would they show up at our little pack's gate?

00:23:56What's big enough to bring them here?

00:24:05Violet!

00:24:13You're safe now, Violet.

00:24:14I'm here.

00:24:16No one touches you again.

00:24:35Have you seen Violet?

00:24:36Where is she?

00:24:36Answer me!

00:24:38No.

00:24:39No way, Violet.

00:24:40She couldn't have.

00:24:42I thought I'd never have a mate of my own.

00:24:45Thank the Moon Goddess for you, Violet.

00:24:50No.

00:24:50No way, Violet's just bluffing.

00:24:52If she left Crimson Moon, she'd have nowhere to go.

00:24:53Out there, a wolfless girl die in a ditch.

00:24:55She didn't really leave me.

00:24:57Young Master Caden!

00:24:58Violet?

00:24:59I think she went to the school gate.

00:25:05Caden Cross.

00:25:06We had something real once.

00:25:09But so is the disgust you show me now.

00:25:12Our seventeen years together end here.

00:25:15I'm not a weakling dragging you down anymore.

00:25:18You won't have to wait for me to break under your cruel, endless trials.

00:25:22You're rid of me.

00:25:23I've let you go.

00:25:25This is goodbye.

00:25:27Forever.

00:25:36That was Violet?

00:25:40Damn it.

00:25:41Look how panicked he was.

00:25:43Caden still wants that bitch.

00:25:44I'll drive Violet out for good.

00:25:46Moon Goddess, my poor baby!

00:25:49How did your foot swell up like this?

00:25:51Caden!

00:25:52What is going on here?

00:25:55Later, Beta Logan.

00:25:57Where's Violet?

00:25:58Did she come home?

00:26:00That ungrateful girl?

00:26:01Nobody's seen a trace of her since class let out.

00:26:03She's not home?

00:26:05That's impossible.

00:26:07Where else would she go?

00:26:08I hear Violet fought with the Beta today.

00:26:10She still isn't back.

00:26:12Good.

00:26:12Hope she never comes back.

00:26:14What a freak.

00:26:15All she does is sulk.

00:26:16Where does a wolfless loser like her get off acting like some young lady?

00:26:20True.

00:26:20Ever since Miss Veronica came home, it's made Violet look even more useless.

00:26:23Not as pretty.

00:26:24Nowhere near as strong.

00:26:25Exactly.

00:26:25So what if Miss Veronica takes her pretty clothes and jewelry?

00:26:28That's only right.

00:26:29A wolfless loser?

00:26:30Who's she dressing up for?

00:26:32Violet is my mate.

00:26:34She is the only future Luna Crimson Moon Pack will ever have.

00:26:37What happened, Caden?

00:26:40Why are you so angry?

00:26:45Tell me the truth, Veronica.

00:26:47Behind my back.

00:26:48Have you been bullying Violet in this house?

00:26:50Taking her clothes?

00:26:51Taking her things?

00:26:52Caden!

00:26:54How could you say that about me?

00:26:56I would never bully her.

00:26:58I know Violet resents me for being the newcomer.

00:27:00She's been hostile from day one.

00:27:02She's always been odd and sensitive.

00:27:03I'm so careful around her.

00:27:05And the clothes?

00:27:06She said she hated those flashy styles.

00:27:07She gave them to me.

00:27:08You're trusting Idle Gasset from the help over me?

00:27:10Where am I?

00:27:11How long was I asleep?

00:27:13Don't worry, Violet.

00:27:13You're in the Nightshade Alpha house.

00:27:15The healer treated every one of your injuries.

00:27:17Your body was running on nothing.

00:27:19Too much damage, too little rest.

00:27:21You slept a full day and night.

00:27:25Don't be afraid, sweetheart.

00:27:27No one will hurt you here.

00:27:28Welcome to Nightshade Pack.

00:27:30This is your home now.

00:27:54I didn't expect this.

00:27:56A future Alpha washing a horse himself.

00:27:59He really does love horses, and he's so down to earth.

00:28:03I'm a weakling with no wolf.

00:28:05He's the future Alpha.

00:28:06Hasn't Caden hurt me enough?

00:28:08I shouldn't even be thinking about someone like Sebastian.

00:28:10I shouldn't even be thinking about someone like Sebastian.

00:28:14I'm sorry.

00:28:15I got carried away.

00:28:17No apologies.

00:28:19No fear, Violet.

00:28:21I'm here.

00:28:22I'll always be here for you.

00:28:24Nightshade hosts the Trials this year.

00:28:26There's a grand gala before the first event.

00:28:29Violet, would you come as my date?

00:28:31Caden never took me to a single formal gala.

00:28:33I was wolf-less, so I didn't count.

00:28:35But Sebastian, he actually sees me.

00:28:38He protects me.

00:28:39I'd love to, Sebastian.

00:28:47Presenting the heir of Nightshade Pack,

00:28:48Young Master Sebastian Volk, and his date.

00:29:00Look at her.

00:29:01So beautiful.

00:29:01Is that Miss Violet?

00:29:02She looks like a goddess made of moonlight.

00:29:05She and Young Mr. Sebastian were made for each other.

00:29:12Listen.

00:29:18Violet, it's really you?

00:29:20Violet!

00:29:21What are you doing here?

00:29:23Do you know I've been going mad just looking for you?

00:29:26You're coming back to Crimson Moon with me!

00:29:28Caden Cross of Crimson Moon Pack, show my date some respect.

00:29:31I belong to Nightshade Pack now, Caden.

00:29:33That makes you nothing to me.

00:29:35Nightshade?

00:29:36You're my future Luna.

00:29:38You belong to me for like.

00:29:40So how can you be another pack?

00:29:42Now, she is a treasured member of Nightshade Pack under our full protection.

00:29:46I claim her as my own daughter.

00:29:48Touch her,

00:29:50and you declare war on all of Nightshade Pack.

00:29:55Don't look at me like that, Violet.

00:29:57It's all for your own good.

00:29:59For my own good?

00:30:02Look me in the eye, Caden.

00:30:03Caden, this isn't a trial.

00:30:06This is bullying.

00:30:07This is abuse.

00:30:11Violet, don't be so sensitive.

00:30:14We've got to force you to train or you'd never last.

00:30:16You're too weak to earn a place in this pack.

00:30:19Veronica's right.

00:30:20These trials are training.

00:30:22Every one of them is for your own good.

00:30:23Training?

00:30:25Torturing me is your idea of help?

00:30:28Seventeen years, Caden.

00:30:30Seventeen!

00:30:30We grew up together.

00:30:33You're my fated mate.

00:30:34And now you'd rather be their accomplice?

00:30:38Did I go too far?

00:30:43You're the true alpha-to-be of Crimson Moon, Caden.

00:30:46You can't go soft over a wolf-less girl.

00:30:49If word gets out, what will the other packs think of you?

00:30:53Of us?

00:30:55Enough, Violet.

00:30:56You're a weakling without a wolf.

00:31:00Weaklings don't get to make noise.

00:31:02Want dignity?

00:31:03Go win it back.

00:31:05Don't stand here snivering.

00:31:07I've lost count of how many times they've done this.

00:31:10They call it building character.

00:31:13Too slow, Violet.

00:31:15You can't even dodge that.

00:31:17Your reflexes are pathetic.

00:31:18This is about training your instinct.

00:31:21Now I finally get it.

00:31:22He saw my pain.

00:31:24He just didn't care.

00:31:30When someone has nothing left to lose, she's finally been set free.

00:31:36Caden.

00:31:38What now?

00:31:40If having no wolf makes me this disgusting to you, I'll go.

00:31:46You're all bluff.

00:31:48Leave Crimson Moon?

00:31:49Leave me?

00:31:50Where would a wolf-less reject like you go?

00:31:53I used to think Caden was a part of me I could never lose.

00:31:57But when it starts to rot, you have to cut it away.

00:32:02It hurts.

00:32:04But at least this time, I hold the knife.

00:32:07Violet, where are you going?

00:32:09Caden!

00:32:10You're the future alpha.

00:32:13Stop indulging her tantrums.

00:32:15Let her spend the night in the woods.

00:32:17The freezing cold will teach her to behave by morning.

00:32:41Mrs. Imogen, it's me.

00:32:43Violet, sweetheart, what happened?

00:32:46Your invitation to join Nightshade Pack?

00:32:49Is that still good?

00:32:51I've decided.

00:32:53I'm breaking my mate bond with Caden.

00:32:57I'm leaving this pack for good.

00:33:00I'm leaving my mate bond right on schedule.

00:33:01I thought he was the moon godness's finest gift to me.

00:33:03But then a year ago, father brought his illegitimate daughter home.

00:33:07My stepsister, Veronica.

00:33:08Caden was drawn to Veronica's strength.

00:33:11Pure wolf instinct.

00:33:12Ever since, he's looked at me, the wolf-less one, differently.

00:33:15Went from disappointment to pure ice.

00:33:18Keep her close, and she becomes your weakness.

00:33:20If you really want to help her, put her through the harshest trials possible.

00:33:26Violet, pick up.

00:33:27Stop sulking.

00:33:28Fine, yesterday's trial went a little far.

00:33:30I brought your favorite strawberry cake compensation.

00:33:32I'll be downstairs in 10 minutes to take you to school.

00:33:35Be a good girl.

00:33:36No more tantrums.

00:33:3717 years of devotion.

00:33:39My dignity.

00:33:40The hair.

00:33:41My connection to my mother.

00:33:43All of it.

00:33:43Destroyed.

00:33:44Even now, he thinks it's just a tantrum.

00:33:49Look at you.

00:33:51Ridiculous.

00:33:52Hideous.

00:33:53What the hell did you do to your hair?

00:33:54You're a disgrace to the black name.

00:33:58I didn't do this to my hair.

00:33:59Veronica hacked it off herself.

00:34:01Caden helped, you know?

00:34:02Held me down while she cut.

00:34:03They tied me to a tree like a clown for two hours.

00:34:06They're bullying me.

00:34:07Nonsense.

00:34:07Bullying?

00:34:08Caden told me it was training to unlock your potential.

00:34:10It wouldn't be happening if you had a wolf.

00:34:12Father, I can't take any more of these trials.

00:34:14I want to leave the academy, please.

00:34:17Leave the academy?

00:34:19What nonsense is this, Violet?

00:34:24Veronica, good timing.

00:34:25Were you really bullying Violet last night?

00:34:27Oh, God, Violet.

00:34:28How could you lie about me and Caden like that?

00:34:30And to Dad?

00:34:31Exactly, Logan.

00:34:32Don't listen to a word of Violet's nonsense.

00:34:34Veronica and Caden were only trying to wake her wolf.

00:34:36Now Violet's acting ungrateful and calling it bullying.

00:34:38Jealous that father spoils me sometimes, Violet?

00:34:41Is that why you hurt yourself?

00:34:42You even cut your own hair just for attention.

00:34:44If you can't stand me, just say so.

00:34:46Yell at me if you want.

00:34:47You don't have to do this to yourself.

00:34:48Violet Black, you lying, ungrateful girl.

00:34:50Your stepmother and Veronica care so much about you.

00:34:53You're lying about your own sister?

00:34:54I'm lying about her?

00:34:56Look at me, Father.

00:34:56You'd rather believe a bastard's tears than see your own daughter's scars?

00:34:59Shut up!

00:35:00Veronica is the finest, most obedient daughter in this house.

00:35:03Look at yourself.

00:35:03Seventeen and no wolf.

00:35:04Worse of all, it made you a bitter, lying brat.

00:35:06You're nothing compared to her.

00:35:08Obedient?

00:35:09My mother held your hand on her deathbed, Father.

00:35:11She had you swear you'd take care of me.

00:35:12Did you look her in the eyes when you lied?

00:35:13You think you've kept your word to her?

00:35:15How dare you talk back to me, you ungrateful child?

00:35:20Stop!

00:35:22Beta Logan, don't.

00:35:24Last night was a misunderstanding.

00:35:26Violet was spooked by what happened.

00:35:27I'll take her to school and sort it out today.

00:35:29I'm letting this slide because Caden's speaking up for you.

00:35:32Don't embarrass me again.

00:35:34Come with me, Violet.

00:35:35We need to talk.

00:35:36This is my family.

00:35:37This is my mate.

00:35:39Nobody cares about the truth.

00:35:41Nobody protects me.

00:35:42It doesn't matter.

00:35:43Today, I leave this hell forever.

00:35:50Fine.

00:35:51I admit it, Violet.

00:35:53Last night, things went too far.

00:35:54But it was for your own good.

00:35:55You're my future Luna.

00:35:56If you can't handle a little pressure, how will you rule Crimson Moon Pack with me?

00:35:59And what if it didn't work?

00:36:00If they left me crippled for life?

00:36:02What if I died, Caden?

00:36:04Don't be dramatic.

00:36:04That wouldn't kill anyone.

00:36:05It was training.

00:36:06Veronica and I just want to awaken your wolf.

00:36:08If you had a wolf, you'd never have gotten hurt anyways.

00:36:10That's the real problem here.

00:36:11You're weak.

00:36:12You're not Luna material.

00:36:13Weak.

00:36:14No wolf.

00:36:15Every word out of his mouth is about how I'm not enough.

00:36:17I sacrificed my health to save his life.

00:36:19I know.

00:36:20I know you saved me and it wrecked your health.

00:36:21That's exactly why I'm doing whatever it takes to bring out your wolf.

00:36:24Don't you get it?

00:36:26If you were strong and sensible like Veronica, none of this would have happened.

00:36:29So that's all it is.

00:36:31You think I'm weak.

00:36:32You think I'm not fit to be your Luna.

00:36:33All right then.

00:36:34I, Violet Black, reject you, Caden Cross, as my fated mate.

00:36:39Have you lost your mind?

00:36:40Now you're resorting to a rejection, Violet?

00:36:42Without me, you'd never even survive.

00:36:45Enough.

00:36:45You're upset.

00:36:46You're sulking.

00:36:47I get it.

00:36:47Last night was too rough for you.

00:36:48Can't you just take it as a joke?

00:36:50What's the big deal?

00:36:51A joke?

00:36:52My dignity?

00:36:53My hair?

00:36:54The last connection to my mother?

00:36:55It's all just a joke to you?

00:36:57Stop guilt-tripping me.

00:36:59Get in the car.

00:36:59We're going to school.

00:37:00Whatever this is, we settle it there.

00:37:03Oh, Violet.

00:37:04How can you be so childish?

00:37:06Talking back to the future Alpha like that.

00:37:08So disrespectful.

00:37:11Caden, I don't know what's wrong with me today.

00:37:12I'm so dizzy.

00:37:14I feel awful.

00:37:15Can I ride to school in your car?

00:37:17Of course, Veronica.

00:37:19Take the back seat, Violet.

00:37:26Violet, the passenger seat in my car is your throne.

00:37:28Got it?

00:37:29You're the only one who'll ever ride with me.

00:37:30Nobody else.

00:37:33What's going on?

00:37:34Is Violet throwing a fit over last night?

00:37:35How dare she?

00:37:37Caden spoils her way too much.

00:37:39Where's the future Alpha's dignity?

00:37:42I'm not sitting in the back.

00:37:50I'm done with your tantrums.

00:37:52Quit sulking.

00:37:52Violet, I don't have time to pamper you.

00:37:54Fix your attitude.

00:37:55Before then, you're not riding in my car.

00:37:57Veronica, get in.

00:37:59There is no more time left for us.

00:38:02Caden.

00:38:05We'll never ride to school together again.

00:38:07Never again.

00:38:12Violet, sweetie, everything's set.

00:38:14The nightshade pack car is already on its way to you.

00:38:16Someone will handle the transfer paperwork with your school directly.

00:38:20Thank you, Miss Imogene.

00:38:21I'm ready.

00:38:24Look at our Luna-to-be!

00:38:26What are you hiding under that hood?

00:38:27The hell is that on your head?

00:38:28A bird's nest?

00:38:32Caden, look.

00:38:33I got another A in close combat this week.

00:38:35Coach says my power beats half the boys.

00:38:38Not bad, Veronica.

00:38:40A body like that is what a pack's Luna needs.

00:38:43Pack tradition is clear.

00:38:44To take the Alpha seat, my fated mate must stand beside me as Luna.

00:38:47But Violet is far too weak.

00:38:49She doesn't even have a wolf.

00:38:50She can't carry Luna's weight.

00:38:51Then force her to break the mate bond, Caden.

00:38:54Once the mate bond is gone, she can't drag you down.

00:38:57No more guilt trips.

00:38:59Break the mate bond?

00:39:00Exactly.

00:39:01After all those trials, she's totally close to breaking.

00:39:04Violet's a weakling.

00:39:05She'll never wake her wolf.

00:39:06Let her break.

00:39:07She'll give up.

00:39:08Then you're free.

00:39:09So that is the truth behind every trial.

00:39:12Caden, you weren't hoping for me to wake my wolf.

00:39:14You were waiting for me to break.

00:39:15The perfect setup.

00:39:17An excuse to get rid of me.

00:39:18Your burden.

00:39:20You'll get exactly what you want.

00:39:21Soon.

00:39:24Caden?

00:39:25Violet's weak.

00:39:26She's a headache, sure.

00:39:28But I will never go against the Moon Goddess plans.

00:39:30The Moon Goddess gave her to me.

00:39:32She's mine.

00:39:32What happens between us is nobody else's business.

00:39:35Don't ever mention breaking the mate bond in front of me again.

00:40:06Violet.

00:40:08I don't care whether I lived or died.

00:40:09To them, leaving will just mean their dead weight is finally gone.

00:40:12It doesn't matter.

00:40:13With Nightshade's papers, I don't need their permission.

00:40:15Right?

00:40:18Thank you, Headmaster.

00:40:19And please, keep this quiet.

00:40:24You actually showed up at school, Violet?

00:40:26Last night should have opened your eyes to the truth.

00:40:28I'm Dad's favorite daughter.

00:40:30I'm the one Caden really wants.

00:40:31Everything you once had, it's mine now.

00:40:33When are you getting the hell out of this pack, runt?

00:40:35You can take everything I have.

00:40:36But there's one thing you'll never change, Veronica.

00:40:39What?

00:40:40The Moon Goddess gave Caden and me a faded mate bond.

00:40:43One of a kind.

00:40:44And you?

00:40:44Scheme all you want.

00:40:45Take him however you can.

00:40:46You'd still be nothing but a lowly chosen mate.

00:40:48The Moon Goddess will never recognize you.

00:40:51You're the backup.

00:40:52Nothing more.

00:40:53Shut your mouth!

00:40:54You don't even have a wolf spirit, you piece of trash!

00:40:59The annual Realm-wide Werewolf Trials begin soon.

00:41:02Crimson Moon Pack will send its very best.

00:41:05Today is the pair riding selection.

00:41:07I was a frail kid.

00:41:09Always bad at everything.

00:41:10Then Mom taught me to ride and I finally had something I loved.

00:41:13Every year after, Caden and I rode the pair event together.

00:41:16I've decided to leave.

00:41:17But I came anyway.

00:41:18One last look at those horses.

00:41:20You're still hurt, Violet.

00:41:22Can you even ride today?

00:41:25Caden, Violet just had that trial last night.

00:41:27Look at her, still bruised.

00:41:29She can barely stand.

00:41:30You can't put her on a horse.

00:41:31She'll get hurt or worse, drag your score down.

00:41:33Gosh, we can't let that happen to the Alpha to B.

00:41:35Ride with me today, Caden.

00:41:36But it's always been Violet and me.

00:41:37Just this once.

00:41:39Violet's so weak right now.

00:41:40You don't want her humiliating herself in public again, do you?

00:41:42Fine.

00:41:43You're hurt, Violet.

00:41:44Sit this one out.

00:41:45Veronica rides with me today.

00:41:46We raised this horse together.

00:41:48It was always you and me.

00:41:50Don't look at me like that.

00:41:51If you weren't so weak, Veronica'd never get the chance to replace you.

00:41:55Look, I know this matters to you.

00:41:57Next time we ride together.

00:41:58I promise.

00:41:59Now move.

00:42:04Next time.

00:42:06There is no next time for us, Caden.

00:42:09Not ever.

00:42:13Remember this, Violet.

00:42:15This saddle.

00:42:16These arms.

00:42:18They're yours alone.

00:42:20Forever.

00:42:21No one else in this world gets to sit here.

00:42:23Only you.

00:42:25Now it just looks like a joke.

00:42:30I hereby declare the winners of today's hair riding.

00:42:34Caden and Veronica.

00:42:42Something feels off.

00:42:44I don't know why.

00:42:45Take the horse back to the stable, Caden.

00:42:48Violet looks so lonely over there.

00:42:50I'll go comfort her.

00:42:52We don't want her getting the wrong idea about us.

00:42:56Go ahead, Veronica.

00:42:57You're always so kind.

00:43:06Violet, why did you push me?

00:43:10I know you're upset from watching me ride with Caden.

00:43:14I told you it wasn't personal.

00:43:16You can't just attack me because you're jealous.

00:43:21Violet Black, what the hell is wrong with you?

00:43:26What the hell is wrong with you?

00:43:28Look at yourself, attacking your own sister.

00:43:32You're so jealous, it's turning you into a monster.

00:43:35What part of you deserves to be Luna of Crimson Moon?

00:43:40I don't deserve it.

00:43:41And you do, Caden Cross?

00:43:43You call me your fated mate.

00:43:45Then what were you doing with her on that horse?

00:43:48You betrayed me.

00:43:49You cheated.

00:43:51A cold, selfish bastard like you doesn't deserve a fated mate from the moon god.

00:43:56What the hell are you talking about?

00:44:01Don't cry, Violet.

00:44:03They had no right to laugh at you for having no mother.

00:44:07These hands are here to protect you.

00:44:10A few cuts are nothing.

00:44:12He said his hands were there to protect me.

00:44:15Today, he used them to strike my face.

00:44:21Whatever we had, whatever I once felt for him, is gone.

00:44:25You killed it, Caden.

00:44:26We'll never go back.

00:44:28God, what did I do?

00:44:34Dune, all of this torture ends soon.

00:44:42Violet, sweetheart.

00:44:45We'll be at the Crimson Moon border in two hours to get you.

00:44:50Mrs. Imogene!

00:44:54Darling, I've got the grandest bedroom in the house ready for you.

00:44:58Nothing but the best for my best friend's daughter.

00:45:00A whole new wardrobe and your favorite flowers.

00:45:07Oh, and do you remember my son, Sebastian?

00:45:09You two played together as children.

00:45:11He was thrilled when he heard.

00:45:13He cut his business trip short just to come get you.

00:45:16He might even beat me there.

00:45:17And between us, he's far better looking than that old fated mate of yours.

00:45:26Thank you, Luna Imogen.

00:45:27I can't wait for my new life at Nightshade Pack.

00:45:30Leaving might be the right thing, I'm sure now.

00:45:32I'm not looking back.

00:45:37Leaving?

00:45:39What are you talking about, Violet?

00:45:41Where do you think you're going?

00:45:49What did you just say?

00:45:51Is it true?

00:45:52You're leaving?

00:45:55You heard wrong.

00:45:56I didn't say anything.

00:45:57I knew it.

00:45:59Drop the stupid jokes, Violet.

00:46:01Leave Crimson Moon Pack, leave me, and you'd be helpless.

00:46:03Where would a wolf-less weakling go?

00:46:05What pack would ever take you in?

00:46:07Look, hitting you is wrong of me.

00:46:10But can you stop with the tantrums?

00:46:11Nothing happened between Veronica and me.

00:46:13I picked her at the field for one reason.

00:46:15You got hurt last night.

00:46:16You were too weak to ride.

00:46:17I did that to protect you.

00:46:18Nothing happened?

00:46:19You know, Caden, I don't even care anymore.

00:46:21Training partners, riding partners, even Luna of Crimson Moon.

00:46:24Pick Veronica for all of it.

00:46:26I'm done.

00:46:27Violet, how long are you going to keep this up?

00:46:29You're still sulking about the trials, aren't you?

00:46:30We've been over this.

00:46:31You need to grow.

00:46:32You need your wolf.

00:46:33I'm just trying to make you stronger.

00:46:35Why don't you see I'm doing it all for you?

00:46:37To make me stronger?

00:46:39You stomped all over my dignity and public, Caden Cross.

00:46:41You hacked my hair to pieces.

00:46:43Was that to make me stronger?

00:46:45Or to prove your loyalty to Veronica?

00:46:47What the hell is that supposed to mean?

00:46:49Don't think I can't see your angle?

00:46:50The Alpha has several sons.

00:46:52Your claim isn't safe.

00:46:53And Veronica is Bait Logan's favorite daughter.

00:46:56With her at your side, you think that seed is yours.

00:46:59You keep saying it's for my own good.

00:47:01You did all this to make Veronica happy.

00:47:04You've lost your mind.

00:47:05Don't judge me with your bitter, twisted bullshit.

00:47:07I don't need any woman's help.

00:47:08Am I lying?

00:47:09You know, deep down, what the truth is.

00:47:14Be strong, Violet.

00:47:15Your new life is right ahead.

00:47:23Is Violet still upset about earlier, Caden?

00:47:25Girls are sensitive.

00:47:26She's just jealous over you.

00:47:28Ignore her.

00:47:29Let her sulk.

00:47:30Honestly, there's one sure way to make a girl fall in line.

00:47:33Make her jealous.

00:47:34The sweeter you are to me, the more threatened she feels.

00:47:37Give it a little while.

00:47:38She'll come running back in tears, begging you to forgive her.

00:47:42Jealous?

00:47:42Oh my god, Caden really did dump Violet.

00:47:46He should have done it ages ago.

00:47:48That wolf-less loser was totally dragging him down.

00:47:51Exactly.

00:47:53Violet was never good enough for Caden.

00:47:55Veronica is perfect for him.

00:47:5817 years.

00:47:59We grew up side by side.

00:48:01Turns out I never knew him at all.

00:48:04Let's end it here, Caden.

00:48:10You said she'd come apologize and make peace?

00:48:13It's not working at all.

00:48:15Wow, Caden, she's got a bigger temper than I thought.

00:48:18Absolutely no respect.

00:48:20Everyone's right, you know.

00:48:22Why haven't you rejected her yet?

00:48:24Know your place, Veronica.

00:48:26Don't ever let me hear that again.

00:48:30Damn it.

00:48:31Caden's heart still belongs to that vile bitch.

00:48:33Violet, he won't let you go.

00:48:35I'll destroy you myself.

00:48:41Violet Black.

00:48:42Cute act, back at the lockers.

00:48:44Who was it for?

00:48:44You think playing hard to get will make Caden come after you?

00:48:47Please.

00:48:47You saw it.

00:48:48His arms were around me.

00:48:49I'm not interested in someone as cold and selfish as Caden Cross.

00:48:52If you're so obsessed with picking up my leftovers, you can have him.

00:48:56My gift to you.

00:48:57You dare talk to me like that?

00:48:59Who the hell do you think you are, Violet?

00:49:02Violet Black, I'm going to turn Caden against you once and for all.

00:49:06I know you blame me for stealing your moment at the arena.

00:49:08That doesn't mean you can shove me into a wall.

00:49:10Moon Goddess, I saw it myself.

00:49:12Violet shoved Veronica straight into the wall.

00:49:14That's vicious.

00:49:15She's so jealous she almost killed her own sister.

00:49:17She's not just wolf-less trash.

00:49:18She's a poisonous bitch.

00:49:22Violet Black, what did you just do?

00:49:24You're insane!

00:49:26It wasn't me.

00:49:27She threw herself into the wall.

00:49:29Enough!

00:49:30Sulking because you were upset is one thing.

00:49:32I never thought you were cruel.

00:49:33You pushed her.

00:49:34We all saw it.

00:49:35Now you're trying to pin the blame on her?

00:49:37What's wrong with you?

00:49:38I told you it wasn't me.

00:49:40Still no remorse.

00:49:41You've disappointed me.

00:49:42I can't have a mate with a heart this poisonous.

00:49:45Apologize to Veronica and earn her forgiveness.

00:49:47Do it now, or I reject you in front of everyone.

00:49:51Moon Goddess, Violet has no wolf.

00:49:54A rejection would kill her.

00:49:55Caden is really angry this time.

00:49:57Violet is nothing without Caden.

00:49:59If she wants to survive here, she'll be on her knees begging any second.

00:50:04Seventeen years we've known each other.

00:50:06All that time.

00:50:08And it never earned me a shred of your trust.

00:50:10You want to reject me?

00:50:12Then have it your way, Caden Cross.

00:50:16What are you saying?

00:50:18I, Violet Black, hereby reject Caden Cross as my feinted mate.

00:50:26Are you insane?

00:50:27You're actually going to break our mate bond?

00:50:29This is what you always wanted.

00:50:30Drop the dead weight.

00:50:31Go be with your precious bitch.

00:50:32Oh, a selfish alpha and a scheming spiteful Luna.

00:50:34You're a perfect match.

00:50:35You'll never change.

00:50:36Fine.

00:50:37I, Caden Cross, accept your rejection.

00:50:41Seventeen years?

00:50:42It's over, Caden.

00:50:44The good memories you gave me.

00:50:45The humiliation.

00:50:46The wounds.

00:50:47All of it.

00:50:48Good and bad ends right now.

00:50:50Starting now, we are nothing to each other.

00:50:53Where are you going, Violet?

00:50:54Stop right there!

00:50:57If I'd embarrass myself like that, I'd crawl into a hole.

00:51:00What a joke.

00:51:01That wolf-less loser had the nerve to reject Caden in public?

00:51:04Look at her now.

00:51:06Serves her right.

00:51:07All of you, shut up!

00:51:09It hurts!

00:51:10My head is spinning.

00:51:11Violet pushed me.

00:51:11I think I have a concussion.

00:51:13Take me to a doctor first, Caden.

00:51:14I can't hold on much longer.

00:51:15Exactly.

00:51:16Violet shoved her into a wall.

00:51:17Veronica is hurt badly.

00:51:18She should go to the hospital first.

00:51:20Right.

00:51:20Violet's got to learn her lesson.

00:51:22Forget her.

00:51:22Hey, maybe the pain will even awaken her wolf.

00:51:27Violet!

00:51:28Lift your head.

00:51:29Apologize to Veronica.

00:51:30Admit everything you did today, and I'll carry you to the healer myself.

00:51:34I might even take it all back and restore our mate bond.

00:51:36Me?

00:51:37Apologize to her?

00:51:39Give me a thousand lifetimes and the answer is still no.

00:51:42Fine!

00:51:42Just perfect.

00:51:43I gave you the chance.

00:51:44This is all on you now.

00:51:45If you won't change, Violet, I will never repair our mate bond.

00:51:48You'll spend your life a rejected, worthless nobody.

00:51:54So this is my last look at you.

00:51:56Leaving with another girl in your arms.

00:51:58It doesn't matter now.

00:51:59None of it does.

00:52:01Because I'm leaving you for good, Caden.

00:52:04Don't be so upset, Caden.

00:52:06You spoiled Violet, that's all.

00:52:08She acts out because she thinks you can't live without her.

00:52:11Let her lie at the bottom of those stairs a while.

00:52:13Then she'll learn who really rules this pack.

00:52:16Why is my chest so hallow?

00:52:18Why does it feel like I'm losing Violet forever?

00:52:20No.

00:52:20Something is wrong here.

00:52:21I'll drop Veronica at the infirmary.

00:52:23Then I'm going straight back for her.

00:52:25Violet's locker is empty?

00:52:27Why is it empty?

00:52:32Why is Violet's locker empty?

00:52:33Did she drop out of the academy?

00:52:35Young Master Caden, you didn't know?

00:52:38Violet finished all her transfer paperwork.

00:52:40She hasn't just left the academy.

00:52:41She's left Crimson Moonpack completely.

00:52:46Transferred out of the pack?

00:52:49That's impossible.

00:52:50No!

00:52:58I used to think I'd die without Caden.

00:53:01Then he became the one who hurt me the most.

00:53:04I thought leaving would be hard.

00:53:05It was just a few steps to the school gate.

00:53:08I did it.

00:53:31Sweet Moon Goddess, that's Nightshade Pack's own motorcade.

00:53:34Richest, strongest pack in the realm.

00:53:36Why would they show up at our little pack's gate?

00:53:38What's big enough to bring them here?

00:53:47Violet!

00:53:54You're safe now, Violet.

00:53:56I'm here.

00:53:57No one touches you again.

00:54:16Have you seen Violet?

00:54:18Where is she?

00:54:18Answer me!

00:54:20No.

00:54:21No way, Violet.

00:54:21She couldn't have.

00:54:24I thought I'd never have a mate of my own.

00:54:26Thank the Moon Goddess for you, Violet.

00:54:31No.

00:54:32No way, Violet's just bluffing.

00:54:33If she left Crimson Moon, she'd have nowhere to go.

00:54:35Out there, a wolf-less girl would die in a ditch.

00:54:37She didn't really leave me.

00:54:38Young Master Kaden?

00:54:40Violet?

00:54:41I think she went to the school gate.

00:54:46Kaden Cross.

00:54:48We had something real once.

00:54:51But so is the disgust you show me now.

00:54:54Our 17 years together end here.

00:54:57I'm not a weakling dragging you down anymore.

00:55:00You won't have to wait for me to break under your cruel, endless trials.

00:55:04You're rid of me.

00:55:05I've let you go.

00:55:07This is goodbye.

00:55:09Forever.

00:55:18That was Violet?

00:55:22Damn it.

00:55:23Look how panicked he was.

00:55:24Kaden still wants that bitch.

00:55:26I'll drive Violet out for good.

00:55:28Moon Goddess, my poor baby!

00:55:30How did your foot swell up like this?

00:55:33Kaden!

00:55:34What is going on here?

00:55:37Later, Beta Logan.

00:55:39Where's Violet?

00:55:40Did she come home?

00:55:41That ungrateful girl?

00:55:43Nobody's seen a trace of her since class let out.

00:55:45She's not home?

00:55:47That's impossible.

00:55:49Where else would she go?

00:55:50I hear Violet fought with the Beta today.

00:55:52She still isn't back.

00:55:53Good.

00:55:54Hope she never comes back.

00:55:55What a freak.

00:55:56All she does is sulk.

00:55:58Where does a wolfless loser like her get off acting like some young lady?

00:56:01True.

00:56:02Ever since Miss Veronica came home, it's made Violet look even more useless.

00:56:05Not as pretty.

00:56:06Nowhere near as strong.

00:56:07Exactly.

00:56:07So what if Miss Veronica takes her pretty clothes and jewelry?

00:56:10That's only right.

00:56:11A wolfless loser?

00:56:12Who's she dressing up for?

00:56:14Violet is my mate.

00:56:15She is the only future Luna Cribs and Moon Pack will ever have.

00:56:19What happened, Kaden?

00:56:22Why are you so angry?

00:56:27Tell me the truth, Veronica.

00:56:28Behind my back, have you been bullying Violet in this house?

00:56:32Taking her clothes?

00:56:33Taking her things?

00:56:34Kaden!

00:56:35How could you say that about me?

00:56:38I would never bully her!

00:56:40I know Violet resents me for being the newcomer.

00:56:42She's been hostile from day one.

00:56:44She's always been odd and sensitive.

00:56:45I'm so careful around her.

00:56:46And the clothes?

00:56:47She said she hated those flashy styles.

00:56:49She gave them to me.

00:56:50You're trusting Idle Gasset from the help over me?

00:56:52Where am I?

00:56:53How long was I asleep?

00:56:54Don't worry, Violet.

00:56:55You're in the Nightshade Alpha house.

00:56:57The healer treated every one of your injuries.

00:56:59Your body was running on nothing.

00:57:01Too much damage, too little rest.

00:57:02You slept a full day and night.

00:57:07Don't be afraid, sweetheart.

00:57:09No one will hurt you here.

00:57:10Welcome to Nightshade Pack.

00:57:12This is your home now.

00:57:36I didn't expect this.

00:57:38A future Alpha washing a horse himself.

00:57:41He really does love horses, and he's so down-to-earth.

00:57:45I'm a weakling with no wool.

00:57:46He's the future Alpha.

00:57:48Hasn't Caden hurt me enough?

00:57:50I shouldn't even be thinking about someone like Sebastian.

00:57:56I'm sorry.

00:57:57I got carried away.

00:57:59No apologies.

00:58:01No fear, Violet.

00:58:02I'm here.

00:58:04I'll always be here for you.

00:58:06Nightshade hosts the Trials this year.

00:58:08There's a grand gala before the first event.

00:58:11Violet, would you come as my date?

00:58:13Caden never took me to a single formal gala.

00:58:15I was wolf-less, so I didn't count.

00:58:17But Sebastian, he actually sees me.

00:58:20He protects me.

00:58:21I'd love to, Sebastian.

00:58:28Presenting the heir of Nightshade Pack.

00:58:30Young Master Sebastian Volk and his date.

00:58:41Look at her.

00:58:42So beautiful.

00:58:43Is that Miss Violet?

00:58:44She looks like a goddess made of moonlight.

00:58:46She and young Mr. Sebastian were made for each other.

00:58:54Listen.

00:58:59Violet, it's really you?

00:59:02Violet!

00:59:03What are you doing here?

00:59:05Do you know I've been going mad just looking for you?

00:59:07You're coming back to Crimson Moon with me.

00:59:10Caden Cross of Crimson Moon Pack.

00:59:11Show my date some respect.

00:59:13I belong to Nightshade Pack now, Caden.

00:59:15That makes you nothing to me.

00:59:17Nightshade?

00:59:18You're my future Luna.

00:59:20You belong to me for like.

00:59:22So how can you be another pack?

00:59:24Now, she is a treasured member of Nightshade Pack

00:59:27under our full protection.

00:59:28I claim her as my own daughter.

00:59:30Touch her,

00:59:32and you declare war on all of Nightshade Pack.

00:59:37Don't look at me like that, Violet.

00:59:39It's all for your own good.

00:59:41For my own good?

00:59:44Look me in the eye, Caden.

00:59:46This isn't a trial.

00:59:48This is bullying.

00:59:49This is abuse.

00:59:53Violet, don't be so sensitive.

00:59:55We've got to force you to train or you'd never last.

00:59:58You're too weak to earn a place in this pack.

01:00:00Veronica's right.

01:00:02These trials are training.

01:00:03Every one of them is for your own good.

01:00:05Training?

01:00:06Torturing me is your idea of help?

01:00:10Seventeen years, Caden.

01:00:12Seventeen!

01:00:13We grew up together.

01:00:14You're my fated mate.

01:00:16And now you'd rather be their accomplice?

01:00:20Did I go too far?

01:00:25You're the true alpha-to-be of Crimson Moon, Caden.

01:00:28You can't go soft over a wolf-less girl.

01:00:31If word gets out,

01:00:32what will the other packs think of you?

01:00:34Of us?

01:00:37Enough, Violet.

01:00:38You're a weakling without a wolf.

01:00:41Weaklings don't get to make noise.

01:00:44Want dignity?

01:00:45Go win it back.

01:00:47Don't stand here snivering.

01:00:49I've lost count of how many times they've done this.

01:00:51They call it building character.

01:00:55Too slow, Violet.

01:00:57You can't even dodge that.

01:00:58Your reflexes are pathetic.

01:01:00This is about training your instinct.

01:01:02Now I finally get it.

01:01:04He saw my pain.

01:01:06He just didn't care.

01:01:12When someone has nothing left to lose,

01:01:15she's finally been set free.

01:01:18Caden.

01:01:20What now?

01:01:22If having no wolf makes me this disgusting to you,

01:01:26I'll go.

01:01:28You're all bluff.

01:01:29Leave Crimson Moon?

01:01:31Leave me?

01:01:32Where would a wolf-less reject like you go?

01:01:35I used to think Caden was a part of me I could never lose.

01:01:39But when it starts to rot,

01:01:40you have to cut it away.

01:01:44It hurts.

01:01:46But at least this time,

01:01:47I hold the knife.

01:01:49Violet, where are you going?

01:01:50Caden!

01:01:52You're the future Alpha.

01:01:55Stop indulging her tantrums.

01:01:57Let her spend the night in the woods.

01:01:59The freezing cold will teach her to behave by morning.

01:02:22Mrs. Imogen, it's me.

01:02:25Violet, sweetheart, what happened?

01:02:28Your invitation to join Nightshade Pack,

01:02:31is that still good?

01:02:33I've decided.

01:02:35I'm breaking my mate bond with Caden.

01:02:38I'm leaving this pack for good.

01:02:41I'm leaving this pack for good.

01:02:41I'm leaving my mate bond right on schedule.

01:02:43I thought he was the moon godness' finest gift to me.

01:02:45But then a year ago,

01:02:47father brought his illegitimate daughter home,

01:02:48my stepsister Veronica.

01:02:50Caden was drawn to Veronica's strength,

01:02:52pure wolf instinct.

01:02:54Ever since, he's looked at me,

01:02:55the wolfless one,

01:02:56differently.

01:02:57Went from disappointment,

01:02:59to pure eye.

01:03:00Keep her close,

01:03:00and she becomes your weakness.

01:03:02If you really want to help her,

01:03:03put her through the harshest trials possible.

01:03:08Violet, pick up.

01:03:09Stop sulking.

01:03:10Fine, yesterday's trial went a little far.

01:03:12I brought your favorite strawberry cake compensation.

01:03:14I'll be downstairs in 10 minutes to take you to school.

01:03:17Be a good girl.

01:03:18No more tantrums.

01:03:2017 years of devotion,

01:03:21my dignity,

01:03:22the hair,

01:03:23my connection to my mother,

01:03:24all of it,

01:03:25destroyed.

01:03:26Even now,

01:03:27he thinks it's just a tantrum.

01:03:31Look at you.

01:03:33Ridiculous.

01:03:34Hideous.

01:03:34What the hell did you do to your hair?

01:03:36You're a disgrace to the black name.

01:03:40I didn't do this to my hair.

01:03:41Veronica hacked it off herself.

01:03:43Caden helped, you know?

01:03:44Held me down while she cut.

01:03:45They tied me to a tree like a clown for two hours.

01:03:48They're bullying me.

01:03:48Nonsense.

01:03:49Bullying?

01:03:50Caden told me it was training to unlock your potential.

01:03:52It wouldn't be happening if you had a wolf.

01:03:54Father, I can't take any more of these trials.

01:03:56I want to leave the academy, please.

01:03:59Leave the academy?

01:04:00What nonsense is this, Violet?

01:04:05Veronica, good timing.

01:04:07Were you really bullying Violet last night?

01:04:09Oh God, Violet.

01:04:10How could you lie about me and Caden like that?

01:04:12And to Dad?

01:04:12Exactly, Logan.

01:04:13Don't listen to a word of Violet's nonsense.

01:04:16Veronica and Caden were only trying to wake her wolf.

01:04:18Now Violet's acting ungrateful and calling it bullying?

01:04:20Jealous that father spoils me sometimes, Violet?

01:04:22Is that why you hurt yourself?

01:04:24You even cut your own hair just for attention.

01:04:26If you can't stand me, just say so.

01:04:28Yell at me if you want.

01:04:29You don't have to do this to yourself.

01:04:30Violet Black, you lying ungrateful girl.

01:04:32Your stepmother and Veronica care so much about you.

01:04:35You're lying about your own sister?

01:04:36I'm lying about her?

01:04:37Look at me, father.

01:04:38You'd rather believe a bastard's tears than see your own daughter's scars.

01:04:41Shut up!

01:04:42Veronica is the finest, most obedient daughter in this house.

01:04:44Look at yourself.

01:04:45Seventeen and no wolf.

01:04:46Worse of all, it made you a bitter, lying brat.

01:04:48You're nothing compared to her.

01:04:50Obedient?

01:04:51My mother held your hand on her deathbed, father.

01:04:53She had you swear you'd take care of me.

01:04:54Did you look her in the eyes when you lied?

01:04:55You think you've kept your word to her?

01:04:57How dare you talk back to me, you ungrateful child!

01:05:01Stop!

01:05:04Beta Logan, don't.

01:05:05Last night was a misunderstanding.

01:05:07Violet was spooked by what happened.

01:05:09I'll take her to school and sort it out today.

01:05:11I'm letting this slide because Caden's speaking up for you.

01:05:13Don't embarrass me again.

01:05:16Come with me, Violet.

01:05:17We need to talk.

01:05:18This is my family.

01:05:19This is my mate.

01:05:20Nobody cares about the truth.

01:05:22Nobody protects me.

01:05:24It doesn't matter.

01:05:25Today I leave this hell forever.

01:05:32Fine.

01:05:33I admit it, Violet.

01:05:35Last night, things went too far.

01:05:36But it was for your own good.

01:05:37You're my future Luna.

01:05:38If you can't handle a little pressure, how will you rule Crimson Moon Pack with me?

01:05:41And what if it didn't work?

01:05:42If they left me crippled for life?

01:05:44What if I died, Caden?

01:05:45Don't be dramatic.

01:05:46That wouldn't kill anyone.

01:05:47It was training.

01:05:48Veronica and I just want to awaken your wolf.

01:05:50If you had a wolf, you'd never have gotten hurt anyways.

01:05:52That's the real problem here.

01:05:53You're weak.

01:05:54You're not Luna material.

01:05:55Weak.

01:05:56No wolf.

01:05:56Every word out of his mouth is about how I'm not enough.

01:05:59Sacrificed my health to save his life.

01:06:01I know.

01:06:01I know you saved me and it wrecked your health.

01:06:03That's exactly why I'm doing whatever it takes to bring out your wolf.

01:06:06Don't you get it?

01:06:08If you were strong and sensible like Veronica, none of this would have happened.

01:06:11So that's all it is.

01:06:13You think I'm weak.

01:06:14You think I'm not fit to be your Luna.

01:06:15All right then.

01:06:16I, Violet Black, reject you, Caden Cross, as my fated mate.

01:06:21Have you lost your mind?

01:06:22Now you're resorting to a rejection, Violet?

01:06:24Without me, you'd never even survive.

01:06:27Enough.

01:06:27You're upset.

01:06:28You're sulking.

01:06:28I get it.

01:06:29Last night was too rough for you.

01:06:30Can't you just take it as a joke?

01:06:31What's the big deal?

01:06:32A joke?

01:06:34My dignity?

01:06:35My hair?

01:06:36The last connection to my mother?

01:06:37It's all just a joke to you?

01:06:39Stop guilt-trapping me.

01:06:40Get in the car.

01:06:41We're going to school.

01:06:42Whatever this is, we settle it there.

01:06:45Oh, Violet.

01:06:46How can you be so childish?

01:06:48Talking back to the future alpha like that.

01:06:50So disrespectful.

01:06:52Caden, I don't know what's wrong with me today.

01:06:54I'm so dizzy.

01:06:56I feel awful.

01:06:57Can I ride to school in your car?

01:06:59Of course, Veronica.

01:07:01Take the back seat, Violet.

01:07:07Violet?

01:07:08The passenger seat in my car is your throne.

01:07:10Got it?

01:07:11You're the only one who'll ever ride with me.

01:07:12Nobody else.

01:07:15What's going on?

01:07:16Is Violet throwing a fit over last night?

01:07:17How dare she?

01:07:18Caden spoils her way too much.

01:07:21Where's the future alpha's dignity?

01:07:24I'm not sitting in the back.

01:07:32I'm done with your tantrums.

01:07:33Quit sulking, Violet.

01:07:35I don't have time to pamper you.

01:07:36Fix your attitude.

01:07:37Before then, you're not riding in my car.

01:07:39Veronica, get in.

01:07:41There is no more time left for us.

01:07:44Caden.

01:07:46We'll never ride to school together again.

01:07:49Never again.

01:07:54Violet, sweetie, everything's set.

01:07:55The nightshade pack car is already on its way to you.

01:07:58Someone will handle the transfer paperwork with your school directly.

01:08:02Thank you, Miss Imogene.

01:08:03Thank you, Miss Imogene.

01:08:03I'm ready.

01:08:06Look at our Luna-to-be.

01:08:08What are you hiding under that hood?

01:08:09The hell is that on your head?

01:08:10A bird's nest?

01:08:13Caden, look.

01:08:14I got another A in close combat this week.

01:08:17Coach says my power beats half the boys.

01:08:20Not bad, Veronica.

01:08:22A body like that is what a pack's Luna needs.

01:08:25Pack tradition is clear.

01:08:26To take the alpha seat, my fated mate must stand beside me as Luna, but Violet is far too weak.

01:08:31She doesn't even have a wolf.

01:08:32She can't carry Luna's weight.

01:08:33Then force her to break the mate bond, Caden.

01:08:36Once the mate bond is gone, she can't drag you down.

01:08:38No more guilt trips.

01:08:40Break the mate bond?

01:08:42Exactly.

01:08:43After all those trials, she's totally close to breaking.

01:08:46Violet's a weakling.

01:08:47She'll never wake her wolf.

01:08:48Let her break.

01:08:49She'll give up.

01:08:50Then you're free.

01:08:51So that is the truth behind every trial.

01:08:53Caden, you weren't hoping for me to wake my wolf.

01:08:56You were waiting for me to break.

01:08:57The perfect setup.

01:08:58An excuse to get rid of me.

01:09:00Your burden.

01:09:01You'll get exactly what you want.

01:09:03Soon.

01:09:06Caden?

01:09:07Violet's weak.

01:09:08She's a headache, sure.

01:09:10But I will never go against the Moon Goddess plans.

01:09:12The Moon Goddess gave her to me.

01:09:14She's mine.

01:09:15What happens between us is nobody else's business.

01:09:17Don't ever mention breaking the mate bond in front of me again.

01:09:22Violet.

01:09:23Nightshade's transfer papers hit my desk last night.

01:09:25They were marked urgent.

01:09:26The wording was blunt.

01:09:27Withdrawing and transferring is a big deal.

01:09:29Does Beta Logan know?

01:09:30And Caden, your fated mate, the future Alpha, does he know?

01:09:33Look at yourself.

01:09:34Seventeen years old and still no wolf and that nasty, bitter attitude.

01:09:38You're nothing compared to Veronica and you'll never be.

01:09:41Enough, Violet.

01:09:42You're a weakling with no wolf.

01:09:43That's on you.

01:09:44In our world, weaklings don't get to talk back.

01:09:47In this house, in this pack, nobody ever cared whether I lived or died.

01:09:51To them, leaving will just mean their dead weight is finally gone.

01:09:54It doesn't matter.

01:09:55With Nightshade's papers, I don't need their permission.

01:09:57Right?

01:09:59Thank you, Headmaster.

01:10:01And please, keep this quiet.

01:10:06You actually showed up at school, Violet?

01:10:08Last night should have opened your eyes to the truth.

01:10:10I'm Dad's favorite daughter.

01:10:11I'm the one Caden really wants.

01:10:13Everything you once had, it's mine now.

01:10:15When are you getting the hell out of this pack, runt?

01:10:17You can take everything I have, but there's one thing you'll never change, Veronica.

01:10:21What?

01:10:22The Moon Goddess gave Caden and me a faded mate bond.

01:10:24One of a kind.

01:10:25And you?

01:10:26Scheme all you want.

01:10:27Take him however you can.

01:10:28You'd still be nothing but a lowly chosen mate.

01:10:30The Moon Goddess will never recognize you.

01:10:32You're the backup.

01:10:34Nothing more.

01:10:35Shut your mouth!

01:10:35You don't even have a wolf spirit, you piece of trash!

01:10:41The annual Realm-wide werewolf trials begin soon.

01:10:44Crimson Moon Pack will send its very best.

01:10:47Today is the pair riding selection.

01:10:49I was a frail kid, always bad at everything.

01:10:52Then Mom taught me to ride, and I finally had something I loved.

01:10:55Every year after, Caden and I rode the pair event together.

01:10:58I've decided to leave, but I came anyway.

01:11:00One last look at those horses.

01:11:02You're still hurt, Violet.

01:11:04Can you even ride today?

01:11:07Caden, Violet just had that trial last night.

01:11:09Look at her, still bruised.

01:11:10She can barely stand.

01:11:11You can't put her on a horse.

01:11:13She'll get hurt or worse, drag your score down.

01:11:15Gosh, we can't let that happen to the Alpha to B.

01:11:16Ride with me today, Caden.

01:11:18But it's always been Violet and me.

01:11:19Just this once.

01:11:21Violet's so weak right now.

01:11:22You don't want her humiliating herself in public again, do you?

01:11:24Fine.

01:11:25You're hurt, Violet.

01:11:26Sit this one out.

01:11:27Veronica rides with me today.

01:11:28We raised this horse together.

01:11:30It was always you and me.

01:11:32Don't look at me like that.

01:11:32If you weren't so weak, Veronica would never get the chance to replace you.

01:11:37Look, I know this matters to you.

01:11:39Next time we ride together.

01:11:40I promise.

01:11:40Now move.

01:11:46Next time?

01:11:48There is no next time for us, Caden.

01:11:50Not ever.

01:11:55Remember this, Violet.

01:11:57This saddle.

01:11:58These arms.

01:12:00They're yours alone.

01:12:01Forever.

01:12:02No one else in this world gets to sit here.

01:12:05Only you.

01:12:07Now it just looks like a joke.

01:12:12I hereby declare the winners of today's hair riding.

01:12:16Caden and Veronica.

01:12:24Something feels off.

01:12:26I don't know why.

01:12:27Take the horse back to the stable, Caden.

01:12:29Violet looks so lonely over there.

01:12:32I'll go comfort her.

01:12:34We don't want her getting the wrong idea about us.

01:12:37Go ahead, Veronica.

01:12:39You're always so kind.

01:12:45Violet.

01:12:48Violet!

01:12:49Why did you push me?

01:12:51I know you're upset from watching me ride with Caden.

01:12:55I told you it wasn't personal.

01:12:58You can't just attack me because you're jealous.

01:13:03Violet Black.

01:13:04What the hell is wrong with you?

01:13:10Look at yourself.

01:13:12Attacking your own sister?

01:13:14You're so jealous it's turning you into a monster.

01:13:17What part of you deserves to be Luna of Crimson Moon?

01:13:21I don't deserve it.

01:13:23And you do, Caden Cross?

01:13:25You call me your fated mate.

01:13:27Then what were you doing with her on that horse?

01:13:30You betrayed me.

01:13:31You cheated.

01:13:33A cold, selfish bastard like you doesn't deserve a fated mate from the moon god.

01:13:38What the hell are you talking about?

01:13:42Don't cry, Violet.

01:13:45They had no right to laugh at you for having no mother.

01:13:49These hands are here to protect you.

01:13:52A few cuts are nothing.

01:13:54He said his hands were there to protect me.

01:13:57Today, he used them to strike my face.

01:14:03Whatever we had, whatever I once felt for him, is gone.

01:14:07You killed it, Caden.

01:14:08We'll never go back.

01:14:10God.

01:14:11What did I do?

01:14:16Dune, all of this torture ends soon.

01:14:24Violet, sweetheart.

01:14:27We'll be at the Crimson Moon border in two hours to get you.

01:14:32Mrs. Imogene.

01:14:36Darling, I've got the grandest bedroom in the house ready for you.

01:14:39Nothing but the best for my best friend's daughter.

01:14:42A whole new wardrobe and your favorite flowers.

01:14:48Oh, and do you remember my son, Sebastian?

01:14:51You two played together as children.

01:14:53He was thrilled when he heard.

01:14:54He cut his business trip short just to come get you.

01:14:57He might even beat me there.

01:14:59And between us, he's far better looking than that old, faded mate of yours.

01:15:07Thank you, Luna Imogen.

01:15:09I can't wait for my new life at Nightshade Pack.

01:15:11Leaving might be the right thing, I'm sure now.

01:15:13I'm not looking back.

01:15:19Leaving?

01:15:21What are you talking about, Violet?

01:15:23Where do you think you're going?

01:15:24Where do you think you're going?

01:15:25What do you think you're going?

01:15:25What do you think you're going to do today?
