00:05have some personal, heavily biased, not expert, unqualified advice about prom. So
00:11here we go. Pick your date wisely. Take a friend to prom. Cut out all of the BS of
00:19asking the guy you like, waiting for the guy you'd like to ask you. It's too much
00:23heartache and too much thought wasted on the build up to prom. If you think that
00:29you know he's just a friend. Think again. Things happen, things get awkward and
00:35then boom they're not your friend anymore. If there is somebody that you do want to
00:39go with then you should ask them because you only get one shot. If they say no
00:44yeah I mean it might be it might stink for a minute but hey at least you know
00:48right? I know you want to look hot I know you want to look sexy and up and
00:52everything and whatever you want to do but remember you're gonna be on your feet
00:56the entire night so maybe don't wear the highest heels and go for something a
01:00little more comfortable but still zam good-looking. Break your shoes in. Oh my
01:06god. I had these like heels that had spikes on the back and I was convinced that
01:11I was gonna be fine and I tore my heels up. Definitely bring some band-aids. Be
01:16nice to your feet at prom. Do not show up intoxicated. A ton of people showed up to my
01:23prom drunk and they all got kicked out. I'm like was it worth it? You spent how
01:26much money on that dress and that makeup? You show up drunk you got kicked out at
01:28the front door. At prom I instead of spending time with my date I was
01:35spending time with my friends and with this girl that I had a crush on trying
01:39to get a dance with her. It's something that I still feel guilty about like all
01:45the time. You have to make sure that you know you're just you're not the only
01:48person having a good time that the person that you are going with is also
01:51having a good time. If someone could tell me and remind me that in the nicest way
01:56possible prom is not the biggest deal. It's not the end of the world. It's not
02:02the end-all be-all. Enjoy it and don't give it so much power. I didn't go to
02:07either of my proms and I definitely freaked out about it at the time both
02:11times but nothing in my life has changed because of it and it was totally fine
02:17and I would definitely give the advice to not feel pressured if you don't want to
02:21go. It's not that big of a deal. If you have a bad time whatever move on. Don't
02:28feel pressured to do anything you don't want to. Do what's best for you always.
02:32It's just one night, una noche and just enjoy yourself and live your best life.
