Refinery29 style director Connie Wang takes all the complication out of styling the super on-trend wide fabric belt, otherwise known as an obi belt.
Transcript
00:00Wide fabric belts inspired by the martial arts were a gigantic trend on the runways
00:03this past season, but to tie it in a traditional way can be really, really complicated.
00:08And if you're just doing it like a regular bow or something, you can have a lot of bulk
00:12in front.
00:13But I have a really great tip for you that takes mere seconds to tie and is really easy
00:17to do.
00:18Start by holding the belts in both hands with a longer length in your right hand.
00:22Criss-cross it, switch hands, and with your left hand, reach in between the belt and your
00:26body and grab hold.
00:27Make a loop and pull through, and then pull tight, and there you have it.
