00:10crew neck sweater into a Chanel-inspired trampoloy jacket.
00:13We've always lusted after the classic Chanel look, but we think we can make one that's
00:17a little more our style and definitely more in our budget.
00:20Let's get started.
00:21Here's what you'll need.
00:22One plain crew neck sweater.
00:24It doesn't have to be fancy.
00:25We got ours at Forever 21.
00:26One spool of yarn that you think will look nice with your sweater color.
00:30One pair of scissors and one knitting needle.
00:32First you'll need to take your sweater and fold it so that you can find the perfect center.
00:39Then you're ready to cut your yarn.
00:41Cut a couple of feet just to get started and prepare your yarn needle.
00:49Beginning at the bottom, go about a half an inch in from the middle of the sweater and
00:56make your first mark.
00:59Now using a simple stitch, go right up through the top and stop when you reach the collar.
01:04Even though we need our sweater folded, make sure you don't go through all four layers.
01:10Once you reach the collar, unfold it and check it out just to make sure you're right on track.
01:17Then fold it back up and continue sewing around the collar.
01:25When you get to the back, simply turn the sweater around and keep on sewing.
01:41Once you've completed your second line down the front, you'll need to make a line around
01:46the bottom of the sweater.
01:47Just keep sewing until you reach the other side.
01:56When you run out of thread, simply knot the end and start again.
02:05Once you've finished that step, now we're going to make pockets.
02:08We're simply going to make an open square on either side of our middle line.
02:14Start off about an inch away from the middle line and sew an easy open square.
02:27Head to the other side and do another easy half pocket.
02:37You're almost there.
02:38For the final step, simply make a line around the cuff of your sweater.
02:46Once you're done with the first sleeve, continue with the other side until your sweater is complete.
02:59And there you have it, our version of the classic Chanel look.
