00:00I'm really excited to have you today. I loved you in this film as I also did in
00:04Moonlight which I adored. So tell me how was this role for you flexing a
00:08different acting muscle than what then your last role in Moonlight? Oh my gosh
00:12every role is like so completely different but for me the challenge with
00:16Madeleine and Collateral Beauty was just this this whole concept of grief
00:20because and and loss you know because I haven't really experienced a kind of big
00:26loss in my life so I really had to do a lot of research to understand to try
00:31and understand what that would feel like you know what's wonderful about Madeleine
00:35is that she has found the collateral beauty in her loss she has seen the
00:39beauty in that and she's got to a point where she's made her life about helping
00:43other people to also come to that point of seeing the beauty in their loss. For
00:49you in your own life how do you kind of make sure you take the time to notice
00:52the collateral beauty around you? Do you know what until I did this movie I don't
00:56think that I really did and so for me the lasting legacy of this movie will be
01:01that I do take the time now to look for the collateral beauty to look for the
01:06gift in even the darkest moments. Why do you think this film is important for us
01:11right now in this moment? Because it really refocuses us back on what's really
01:15important which really is this moment here and now with the people you love and
01:21showing appreciation and gratitude so let's appreciate and let's enjoy the
01:26time that we have. For you what would you say has been your best non-material
01:31gift that you've received? I just think any and all the time that I get to spend
01:36with my family is such an incredible gift I love my family it's such a
01:41privilege because not everybody has a family that they're close to and that you
01:45know they have good relations with and and I just feel incredibly lucky that I do
01:49you know I think that's a real privilege.
