00:12Or pretty much anything that anyone else considers weird.
00:15And puberty?
00:16Ugh.
00:17So imagine knowing you're a boy when everyone else tells you that you're a girl.
00:20Or knowing you're neither.
00:22Or a bit of both.
00:2390% of trans students were harassed because of their sexual orientation or expression in school.
00:30A third of them report hearing negative remarks from school staff.
00:34But it doesn't have to be that way.
00:35Often, all it takes to stop a bully is one person standing up.
00:40Sometimes, all it takes to save a life is a little bit of kindness.
00:45We're not just trying to make school a safe place for trans kids.
00:48But for all kids.
00:49Because we all have gender.
00:51Or do we?
00:53Gender fluid.
00:54Gender queer.
00:55Gender non-conforming.
00:56And it's not just trans people that are targeted for it.
00:59Not to mention, some boys wear dresses.
01:01And plenty of girls like action figures.
01:03Kids don't have hang up about gender the way adults do.
01:06School should be a place to learn, grow, change, and even experiment.
01:12And here's a radical idea that could change everything.
01:16Listen to young people.
01:19They usually know exactly who they are and what they need.
