00:00You're leading Oregon in receiving yards as a sophomore, so what would you say is the biggest difference in you
00:05as a player this time this year to this time last year?
00:10Yeah, I would definitely say I would think my maturity is the most different, being that I was fresh out
00:16of high school when I first got here.
00:19Of course, some moments I wasn't really used to, so I had to kind of adapt and stuff like that,
00:23but I feel like now I'm more prepared, more aware of situations.
00:27I know how to handle myself in certain situations. I don't really act the same in certain situations, kind of
00:34like just like being a pro in most situations, I would say.
00:37How did you learn that? I mean, was there a mentor that kind of helped you through that, or how
00:42did you grow so much in your maturity?
00:44Yeah, I would just say the guys that I'm around every single day. Of course, I've been around guys like
00:49Dante and Dylan and last year Malik Benson, Evan Stewart.
00:53You know, just being around like an older guy has definitely helped me just seeing like how they act, you
00:58know, in situations that I've also been in, you know, just the difference in that and the positivity that they
01:04show and the positive outcomes that they get in those situations, you know.
01:08So just being that they were kind of like helpful in those moments definitely just like carried me through.
01:14With the season maybe looking a little differently than you might have imagined when the season began, what's keeping you
01:20motivated as you guys enter the last kind of stretch here?
01:24Just being that I'll get the opportunity to go out there and play football is motivating me itself.
01:29I grew up playing this game. We always say it's a child's game. Go out there, have fun, you know,
01:33just just let loose.
01:34So that's what I pride myself on every time I step on the field.
01:39You know, you're seven games in five games left. What would be maybe your message to Ducks fans right now?
01:46I would say expect more explosive plays, expect more wins and just expect to turn up with us on the
01:53sidelines, man.
01:54There's nothing like Odson, that's for sure.
01:56Nothing like Odson.
01:57Especially on a Halloween night. Are you going to dress up? Do you have a costume planned?
02:02If I did, I wouldn't give no hints, but just wait and see. Just wait and see.
02:08You've played for a lot of coaches in your life. What makes Coach Dan Lanning different than some of the
02:13other coaches you've played for?
02:15Yeah, the reason that I came here in the first place, I see him take a risk, you know.
02:20So once I seen that, I was like, yeah, this is the guy I want to play for.
02:23So he's like that, you know, every practice, whether it's fourth and one, fourth and two, third and whatever, punt,
02:30kickoff return, you know, every situation, he's coming up with something to change the game.
02:33And that's what I love about him.
02:35We have leadership things that, you know, we do as a team.
02:39We go on a hike during the offseason.
02:41So I would just say that the team bonding things that we do, going bowling, we have a thing called
02:47Duck Olympics that we do where we divide our team into groups.
02:51And, you know, we just, like, find ways to gain connection with one another.
02:56I would just say, like, things like that just make him special.
02:59So I appreciate them things.
