01:48We are in a time and a place where there's great desire to tear us all down.
01:54I find that a lot of my intersecting identities, whether it's being a black woman, whether it's
01:57being Muslim, are also targeted in similar ways that Planned Parenthood is targeted.
02:01I feel being a liberated woman allows me to also speak up for those that don't have
02:06a voice.
02:07Me being a liberated woman means that I can do what I want to do.
02:11To decide I am free, I'm going to live free, and I am going to own my destiny.
02:16I'm able to be vulnerable by first knowing that you weren't liberated before.
02:22I think it's important for black and brown women to be highly visible in this moment because
02:27I think that we represent the complexity of the world.
02:29I think we are a very fortified group of people.
02:33And so our liberation oftentimes has not been about us, but it's been about us in juxtaposition
02:38to other people.
02:38And so it's never about us alone.
