00:00So it might just take a little bit of wiggling around to get it perfect, but it's good.
00:08Wait, can you look? I feel like it's not good.
00:12I'm here to show you how to dress up any casual, dull hairstyle with this super easy
00:17starburst look that you can make with bobby pins. And all you need are three bobby pins.
00:22You take your first gold bobby pin and you just want to pop it right above the center of your
00:28ear.
00:30Just go ahead and slide it in.
00:33So the next step would be to take your second bobby pin and just cross it through the center of
00:40the
00:40first one to look like a lopsided plus sign. So now the last step is to take the third bobby
00:47pin
00:48and cross it through the last two. So it might just take a little bit of maneuvering,
00:53but if you just wiggle it through the other two, it should create the perfect star.
01:00So you can do more than one than I've done. You could do them all around your head with
01:04ponytails with different textures. So it's totally amazing and I totally recommend it.
01:11So I've gone ahead and painted these bobby pins with some nail polish at home,
01:16but you can go ahead and pick up multi-colored bobby pins at a drugstore,
01:19any beauty supply store or online. So first we'll take one bobby pin.
01:24Next, we will use another bobby pin of a different color to create an inverse triangle.
01:36Next, you're going to keep doing that under the other bobby pins for the desired chevron effect.
01:53Next, you'll take some hairspray to set in your hairstyle.
01:59And voila! So for someone who doesn't spend a lot of time on their hair,
02:03this is a really fun and easy way to switch things up.
02:07So I've been seeing this trend quite a bit on social media and it's a quick,
02:10easy way to kind of jazz up your hair. This year, going into 2017, I kind of was thinking,
02:15I was like, I've done the cuts, I've done the colors,
02:17but how can I like really make my hair a little bit more fun, but on a budget?
02:20So the first one we have is a pearl embellished bobby pin. And so I went to the local, like,
02:26just a craft store and I just glued a simple little pearl on a little bobby pin and I found
02:31the gold one. If you're not a pearl girl, you can also find other embellishments. You know,
02:35a lot of craft stores have like little gems, little diamonds, anything you want to make this
02:39personalized, you can go for it. You want the wavy side down because that's the correct way. So I've
02:43just been adding them down and it kind of doesn't matter anywhere you go. It's all personal
02:48preference. When I'm getting to the end with the hair tie, I actually like clustering a couple of
02:52them so it looks like a little bit of a brooch. So even though everything is looking really good,
02:56I always like just adding a little extra spritz just to make sure everything's staying in place.
03:02And there you have it, just an easy way to embellish your hair without breaking the bank.
03:07So as you can see, bobby pins are the easiest way to dress up any hairstyle these days. They're
03:11really affordable, you can get them anywhere from a drugstore to your local beauty store,
03:16and they're great on any hair texture. So the minute you're thinking you're in a hair rut,
03:20we're going to say, go grab a bobby pin. Thanks for watching and we'll see you next time on Beauty
