00:00I don't have any fears of having success at a young age.
00:03I don't really care how it goes.
00:14Having a lot of attention on me is fun,
00:17but also I want it to be for the music and for the right reasons.
00:23I was performing and doing small coffee shop gigs
00:27and writing my own songs from when I was 12,
00:29and I happened to be Neighbors with Richard Swift.
00:33It's a little name drop.
00:35And he was super helpful in the process of helping me, like,
00:39make my first acoustic demo.
00:41My current manager, who was at a small agency in L.A., found it,
00:45and then we began talking to labels.
00:47I made two EPs in the process,
00:49and now I'm finishing up my debut album.
00:53I think that the most exciting thing about having influence
00:56is learning new things and then being able to share them.
00:59I don't identify as any particular sexuality,
01:04so learning how to talk about that in an appropriate way
01:08that is all-inclusive is important to me.
01:11Again, I have this platform to be kind of a representative
01:14for a younger generation,
01:16and I hope that I can just use it to its full capacity.
01:22I think that we're cool.
01:23I think that we are trying to learn from generations
01:26that have been not so cool,
01:31and it's working.
01:33We've come very far, but still have, like, very, very far to go.
01:37I think that educating people on how to communicate with people
01:41that are different than them,
01:43whether it's religion or sexuality or identity,
01:45is something that we could all learn from.
01:49As a woman in the music industry,
01:51I'm constantly being challenged,
01:52and I really want to make it so more women can feel confident.
01:56Being creative, making music is very creatively inspiring,
02:00and I get to do it every single day,
02:02which feels like a privilege and an honor.
02:04I don't think that you have to have a lot of fans
02:06or an audience or demographic to be successful.
02:09You just have to feel like you are fulfilled.
02:15But you're in the act of its dignity.
02:15I think if your life is superior if you stay with these people,
