00:00Something that most people probably don't know about me is that my dad is teaching me how to drive a
00:04stick shift
00:05so that I have a better chance at surviving the zombie apocalypse.
00:13I'm Mackenzie Foy, I'm 16 years old, and I'm an actress.
00:18I started working when I was three and
00:22it's just been amazing. I've had a wonderful time. I've met so many incredible people and I've learned a lot
00:28about the industry as well.
00:30It's about life.
00:31My big break would be my first film, which was The Twilight Doggo, Breaking Dawn 1 & 2.
00:37What I've learned on that set has really helped me in the rest of my career.
00:44I do not consider myself famous at all. I'm just Mackenzie.
00:49I do Taekwondo, I eat,
00:52sleep, read books, pretty much normal.
00:56Social media is a very interesting thing because you can connect all over the world and you can share your
01:02story as well as learn other people's stories.
01:04You can also really express yourself.
01:06I think the reason why people think that they can be mean to each other online is because
01:10you're not looking the other person in the eye.
01:12So you feel that you kind of have the ability to say something mean, whereas in real life you wouldn't
01:18do it.
01:18They're just being mean to be mean.
01:20There's many things that are important to me, but my mission, I would say,
01:25I want to be a director and actress and cinematographer and I want to show people different kinds of views
01:31on life through film.
01:33I'm working on getting there.
01:35I think it's a really incredible thing to be a part of Generation Z.
01:39I feel the generation before us, the women specifically, have opened so many doors and they have fought and made
01:46incredible changes.
01:47And what we, I feel like, we kind of need to do is just walk through and continue opening the
01:51doors for the next generation.
01:52Do the hair thing too?
01:54Pull on my wisp.
01:57Any fears of being in this industry at a young age, I don't really think about it.
02:02As long as I'm still a good person and I love what I do, then I'm good.
